The Alphas’ P**n Star Mate

Chapter 35 – The Alphas’ Porn Star Mate

I turned my head, getting myself angry again. He frowned, and his eyes looked a bit hurt.

"You have a friend waiting for you downstairs. I'm fine now. You're the star of the night. You should get down there."

"She's not a friend. She's a parasite and I'll just have Rodger swipe her later. I'm not leaving you until you reject that prick." "You're not my dad, Mick. I can handle a rejection on my own."

"I know I'm not your damn dad. A dad wouldn't-" he pressed his lips together, like he was about to say something he shouldn't.

"A dad wouldn't what?"

"Nothing," he grumbled. "I just know I'm not your dad. I still won't leave here until I know you rejected him."

"Why?" I stressed, walking towards the kitchen to make myself a mug of tea.

"Because I won't be able to have a moment of peace away from you if I leave here right now. I'll worry nonstop that you're here alone and in pain because of that asshole again."

Damn it. I'm seeing more and more why he has so many stalkers. My heart literally skipped a beat when he said he wouldn't have a moment's peace away from me.

"Fine," I stared intently at the water beginning to steam in the kettle. "I'll make you a cup of tea. It may be a while." Cortina still isn't back in my mind. She is likely comforting Rome and I don't want to force her back now if she is relishing every last second with her mate before the rejection happens. I owe Rome and Cortina that.

I wish Rome and Cortina could stay connected forever, even after I reject Cameron. Rome is a good mate and a good wolf. He proves that daily.

I made two cups of steamy Irish breakfast tea, wanting the caffeine instead of the drowsy effects of most herbal teas. I put a slash of almond milk in mine, because Rodger did it for me the first time he made me tea and I loved it. I didn't think and ended up putting it in Mick's cup too. I just shrugged it off and gave it to him anyway. Mick frowned at the cup, but then took a tentative sip and his eyes widened in surprise.

"Is it good?" I smirk against my mug seeing him take another big gulp.

"Very. I've never had tea with milk before."

"Really? Rodger was the one that first made it for me."

"Rodger doesn't have tea time with us guys like he does you. I don't know if you realize this, but he treats you differently. Special."

"It's one of the many perks of being the only girl," I boasted.

"Nah," he shook his head. "I think it's more than that. You are like the daughter he never got to have."

"What do you mean?" I took another sip of my tea, confused by Mick's statement.

"I mean, the daughter that he lost when she was just a baby. Back when his coven was attacked?"

I shrugged, not having heard this story before.

"Ah, shit. I figured you knew since most of us do."

"Knew what? What happened to Rodger's daughter?"

"I think she was killed. I know his mate was. His mate's Alpha went on a rampage and destroyed most of his coven, leaving just him and his sister. Well, not really leaving him. Rodger escaped with his mate when the Alpha started burning the other coven members alive. The Alpha said some shit about not wanting witch men taking any more of the females from his pack. His mate was Alpha ordered back to the packhouse with their daughter in the middle of the night when Rodger thought they were sleeping in a cave, and he woke up feeling the bond tearing as his mate was slaughtered."

My mouth hung in horror. Rodger was from that little town by my old pack. I knew he and his sister had a vendetta against the Alphas there, but I didn't know why. Cameron's father did keep a strangely tight hold over the women in his pack. I thought he was just misogynistic. It now sounds more like he was viewing us as his personal property. No wonder Driana was so eager to help me.

"I had no idea."

"I'm sure he didn't tell you so as to not worry you more. You had your hands full with your own Alpha issues."

"Yeah," I smiled sadly.

"Rodger is a different person now. He changed a lot after you came. He doesn't seem to grieve anymore and is generally happier."

I smiled sadly, happy I made him happy, but sad for the reasons for his grief in the first place.

I was about to say something along those lines, but then the stabbing pain returned to my chest, and I couldn't speak. I gritted my teeth and buckled over, gripping my chest.

"Chloe," Mick was by my side at lightning speed, lifting me from my chair and cradling me against him again. He took my seat and held me together as the chest began tearing through me.

"I need to get Rodger," he growled, gritting his teeth.

"No!" I strained, trying not to scream. "No! I can....handle this."

Mick made a sound of annoyance, and then grabbed hold of my face and pressed his lips to mine.

The pain stopped instantly. Kissing Mick overrode everything else. My body relaxed and the pain ebbed away, replaced with this unsatisfied itch deep inside that had me wanting more and more from Mick. I laced my fingers in the back of his hair, holding him to me. The kiss on his part started out angry and desperate, but now it was just desperate. He was passionately moving his tongue with mine, our lips forming perfectly together. The little noises coming from him had my insides throbbing in a good way as I moaned into his mouth.

When we stopped after what felt like forever, I was breathless and so was he. He rested his head on mine, smiling as he panted. "Damn," he murmured. "I'm glad you told me no."

"No to what?" I asked, confused.

"To getting Rodger. That was....wow," he chuckled. "I'm definitely not leaving you now. For safety reasons."

"Safety reasons?" I giggled. "Kissing me is a safety protocol now?"

"A very important one," he husked. "Maybe we should try it some more to make sure we have it down."

He leaned in and kissed me deeply once again. I was just as into the kiss as he was, if not more. It made everything feel good inside.

"One last big bang," Cortina was finally back, taunting me now. The pains must have pulled her back to me. "Just one more big bang. You know you want to."

I did want to. There was no doubt in my mind now.

"Mick?" I whispered his name between kisses.

"Yeah?" he moved his mouth down my jaw, letting it linger in the sensitive spot behind my ear.

"I, uh, have a favor I want to ask you."

"Ask away."

I bit my lip, hesitating. His mouth never stopped moving against my skin, and it was a magnificent feeling. No one has ever kissed me like this.

"Will you help me get revenge one last time?" I said, just throwing it out there and ripping off the bandage all at once.

His mouth froze on my skin. He leaned back to stare at me. "You mean?...."

I smiled crookedly, shrugging, feeling shy all of a sudden. "Just one last bang. One last act of revenge, then I'll reject him for good."
