Chapter 6
CHAPTER SIX – THE RESISTANCE
LYRA
I stared at the claw pointed close to my throat, any little sl*p and my throat would be clawed out so I remained standing as I tried to understand the question.
“Who sent you?!”
My eyes were wide with shock as I stared at the people before me. They were all werewolves both male and female and everyone was giving me a hostile look as their claws were also extended.
“No one sent me,” I managed to say, finally finding my voice after being terrified.
“Liar!” one of the female werewolves snarled at me and I gasped as the claw extended closer to my throat.
I still couldn’t see the person’s face as the person was standing behind me.
“It’s not a lie, no one sent me,” I repeated myself again.
“How did you find us here?” the guy asked.
“I was just taking a walk when I fell into the ditch and then I saw them and you,” I answered honestly.
After a few seconds, the claw on my n*eck was gone and I was able to breathe again. The guy who had been standing behind me came to the front and I realized it was the guy who had taken me to see the Prince.
I frowned, “You! What is going on here?”
He sighed reluctantly, “This is the resistance group, we’re training to be able to fight against the wicked monarch we have in place of a government.”
“So this is like an uprising,” I smiled as I realized I could use them to achieve my goal.
“Yeah, whatever you would like to call it,” he replied.
I noticed the way the female werewolves in the room acted like we were in some kind of competition amongst ourselves.
“Can I join this group?” I asked, “I would love to learn how to fight.”
“What would you be doing, little Wolf?” one of the girls asked me in a taunting voice.
She reminded me of all those b*tches who would never mind their business and always try to make me look bad while making themselves look good.
I glared at her, my anger returning as I remembered the conversation between I and Nora this morning before I stalked off and ended up here.
“I would love to show you what I would be doing,” I snarled at her.
“Ooh, Kitty Cat has got claws,” the girl taunted and some of the female wolves there laughed. They were probably in the same clique as the girl but I’ll be damned if I allow them to break my spirit again.
“I also know how to use those claws,” I said to her, as I flexed my hands.
“Who do you think you are to talk to me like that?!” she sneered at me, “No one is going to spar with you so you might as well go back to the palace.”
“I will spar with her,” a voice said behind us.
I whirled around and saw a gorgeous man standing before me. His aura was demanding and dominating. He had the most beautiful blue eyes I had ever seen and he was tall and muscular. He was a complete ten.
“Thanks,” I muttered to him shyly as I felt butterflies in my stomach.

I stared at the girl as she spoke to Lilith, one of the most feared werewolves in our midst. The other girls dared not challenge her but despite the fact that this girl didn’t have her Wolf she was still challenging her to a fight, I felt it was commendable and I could also help be her spar partner.
I knew that was a bad idea because I could feel the sparks coming from her and even though it wasn’t strong it was still there.
I recognized her instantly as the girl whom I had spoken harshly to in the room yesterday. I was so glad for the disguise because I knew she wouldn’t be able to recognize me.
Ever since the rogue attack that happened in the palace and all the guards became my uncle’s personal lap dogs I devised a means with the help of my beta to be able to groom upcoming guards so we could take over from my uncle soon.
I had been careful in the selection process and the fact that they didn’t know I was the Prince was also an added advantage because I was able to do whatever I wanted without me having to face their judgment or questions.
Ever since the rogue attack I had stopped appearing in public places and if need be that I appear I come in the dark and fully disguised.
I had been working with this group for years and I knew it wasn’t long now and we’ll be able to take over from my uncle.
I finally walked up to the girl after I’d agreed to be her spar partner. She turned away shyly and I could see she was struggling to hide her blushing face.
I caught my Beta’s eyes and shrugged. I knew being with her here was risky but I just couldn’t seem to stay away especially since my Wolf was excited.
She was my second-chance mate and even though I rejected her and I have tried to diffuse the bond it was still there. I wouldn’t want to accept her or make it public so my uncle or my other enemies won’t use her to make fun of me.
“What do you intend to achieve with this training?” I asked her.
She didn’t hesitate as she answered me and I loved her answer.
“All my life, people have bullied me. I’m sick of it, I want to be able to stand and defend myself.”
“That’s very lovely and noble of you,” I commended her, “But you know we have one common goal for being here.”
She nodded, “Y’all want to form a mutiny in the palace when the time is near.”
I nodded, “Yeah, something like that. I need to know if you’re on board with it.”
“Hell yeah! I’m going to bring that cocky, rude, miserable, wicked Prince down!” she snarled.
My smile turned saccharine as I glared at her.
“Tell me more,” I urged.
Just then, Tyler mindlinked me and I frowned at the sound of his voice in my mind.
Shit! I needed to leave here asap!!
