The Alpha Meeting

Chapter 4

On Saturday morning Demetri and Zion slept later than usual. Saphera was already up, as she went for a fresh morning jog at 5am to get Celix

out of her mind. Whilst she was showering, she took it on herself to use this time to please herself completely. She used some of her body oil. As she slipped three fingers in without hesitation, she could feel her own warmth. She rubbed her breast with her other hand and teased her own nipples. She sunk her fingers deeper in and quick-ened her rhythm. She felt herself building as she rubbed her clitoris with the palm of her hand. She felt how her own body tensed, and how everything tightened around her fingers. She closed her eyes and indulged in her senses as she climaxed in the shower, and felt how her essence dripping down her thighs and all over her hand. Warm and soft.

She hopped out and got dressed in a green lace dress which was not too short. She started on a full breakfast for the morning. As she was done with the eggs, Demetri came into the kitchen half asleep. He wrapped her in his arms.

“Morning love. You’re up early. Went for a run?” “Morning. Yes, needed to get a run in and start

somewhere.”

“Zion still sleeping?” Demetri asked in disbelief.

“Yes, the twins tired him out completely last night,” Saphera smiled. “They’ll be perfect babysitters.”

“Do you want some coffee?” Demetri asked as he switched on the kettle.

“Yes, that would be nice. Breakfast is almost done.” After breakfast Zion came out of the room looking

sleepy and dreamy.

“Morning my little prince,” Saphera said as she picked him up and hugged him.

“Want to go to the park today?” Demetri suggested. “We can pack a little picnic basket and everything and spend a few hours there. It’s much better than staying at home all day.”

“That sounds lovely,” Saphera said with a smile on her face.

Demetri liked to see her smile. And damn, he thought.

She looks hot as hell in that green lace dress of hers.

They’d just packed up and got everything ready when Christine came around for a quick coffee, bringing the boys to play with Zion. Demetri went around to Jacob, and they decided they would leave as soon as the neighbours were gone. The two women chatted about last night’s braai and Saphera had to tell Christine everything in detail. It was 11am, but they were already drinking wine. The boys played in the garden in the back and had a delightful time with the sprinkler and the toys. After their chat and two glasses of wine, Demetri came back and suggested they all go fishing tomorrow at the reef. Everyone agreed. Christine and Jacob had an appointment with Christine’s in-laws. She told Saphera in secret that she did not like them that much. Christine gathered the boys and left. Demetri finished packing the picnic basket, and Saphera quickly dressed Zion in clean clothes. Then off they went to the park, for a day full of sun and laughter—or so she thought.

***

Upon arriving at the park, Zion made for the swings and Demetri went to pick a spot in the shades of a tree where he could see them both. He laid out the blanket and started setting up. A young man approached him, with dark brown hair and eyes that were almost black in colour.

“Afternoon Sir,” he greeted Demetri with an extended hand.

Demetri accepted and greeted the young fellow. He had a big and firm build, Demetri noticed. He probably sleeps in the gym as the young lads do nowadays, he thought. “How can I help you?” he asked.

“Are you and the new family in town?” the stranger asked.

“Who’s asking?”

“Oh, sorry. My Name is Reon.”

“Demetri. Nice to meet you. And to answer your question, yes, we’ve been here just over two weeks. I actually grew up here, but my fiancée and the little one are new to this area.”

“Oh okay. Figures. I know everyone in this town almost, but you looked new so I thought I’d come over and make my acquaintance.”

Saphera sensed something in the air, and looked over to see Demetri chatting with a stranger. She left Zion where he was playing with a big group of other friends from his crèche, and walked over. As she closed in, she felt her wolf senses rise up on edge.

Who is this strange guy?

“Ahh, here she is. My beautiful Saphera,” Demetri announced as she came up to them.

Immediately she knew what it was that she was feel-ing. He is not mortal, and he is an Alpha as well.

“Hi there,” she greeted with the best smile she could fake. She extended her hand and he immediately returned the gesture grabbing her arm and giving it a tug. Demetri did not notice.

“Welcome to the town,” he said. “My name is Reon. I’m from a bit further up the path, but as I was telling your lover over here, I know everyone in town except for you three.” He smiled and gave a little growl.

Further up the road, out of town, he knows everyone… shit, he must be the rival Alpha from the Riviera Pack.

“Okay, yes. We’re new here,” Saphera said.

Reon kept glaring at her.

“Anyway, you guys enjoy your day here. We will meet again,” he said and left, but Saphera heard the low growl.

How can this be? Reon thought to himself as he looked back, straight into the sapphire eyes of Saphera. An Alpha Female in the territory of Celix, and one of royal descent. This changes the whole plan. Celix was no longer his only concern now that there was a new threat—another Alpha, but this time a female. Which pack is she from? Her hair is not as dull and black as the wolf packs everyone knows, it’s more copper-red. And those eyes. What a strange combination of genetics. He knew he must find out for himself, and he would. He got in his black SLK and drove off back to his den about 100km out of town. Luckily his trip into town was not a total waste.

After their picnic, the three left for home. A lazy Saturday awaited them all, along with a midday nap. Saphera was on edge, her brain working overtime. Reon was younger than her, but he was an Alpha. How is that possible? she realised. Unless he battled with the previ-ous Alpha and won? She had to notify Celix. Reon knew about her now, and this could really spell trouble for all of them. She’d seen the look of amazement in his eyes.

Things is going to get a lot worse before they get better, Saphera thought.

At home Saphera put Zion to sleep ad Demetri went for a nap. He was feeling a bit ill today. Saphera was watching TV when she sensed him before she saw him— Celix was here. She went to the back of the yard, and there he was on her wall.

“Saphera, I can sense something bothering you?” “Yes Celix, I met Reon today at the local park. the rival"

“How? And when I told you he must not know about you!” He was angry.

“Well sorry, but how was I to know he would be at the park where my son plays?”

Saphera was pissed—did Celix really think she was that shallow, to expose herself and her family to an evil threat?

“What did he say?”

“Nothing really. He greeted us all politely, and said he would see us again. He gave a threatening growl, but he seemed really intrigued with me. I don’t think he really knows who I am, or which pack I’m descended from.”

“Okay, well… that is a great advantage for us, then. Because if he learns you’re part of the Mignan Clan, he will most definitely do anything in his power to capture you and bed you. You have royal blood of the ancients coursing through those veins of yours, so he will stop at nothing.”

The thought scared Saphera to the bone. She had never been scared in her life—but this Reon guy really was something different.

***

At dinner Demetri spoke about maybe working away the following week, due to a mechanical break at another one of their sites. Saphera was okay with that; he was an asset for the company and they treated him well.

“Okay love, don’t worry about me. Little Zion will keep me busy, and I have lots do around the house and in the garden.” “Okay love, but if you’re not okay with this I’ll understand, and will talk to my boss.”

“No, it is really fine. This is your job ad you have to do it.” “Okay.”

Just after dinner and dishes, there was a familiar voice at the door. Chrstine and Jacob invited had themselves over for coffee—but they were like family now, so Demetri and Saphera didn’t mind. The boys went straight for Zion’s room and played.

“So how was your picnic at the park?”

“It was fun. We played a lot and had lots of fun. We went out on the river with the paddle boats. It was great, actually. How was your day?”

“Well, same old same old. I had to do some homework with the boys, and get them test ready for class test next week. So it was busy and not fun like yours.”

“Ladies, you do remember about our fishing trip tomorrow at the reef?” Demetri asked.

“Yes love, I already know what to pack for some snacks. I thought we could maybe make some hotdogs there?”

“That sounds like a great idea,” Jacob said.

After all the planning has been done for the trip tomorrow, Christine and Jacob left with their boys as it was well past 10pm and past Zion’s bedtime.

After her shower, Saphera sat and did her nails. She loved doing her hands and feet, and she believed every woman should have lovely feet and painted nails. This time she opted for neon blue and gold detail. Perfect choice, she thought to herself after she’d finished.

Demetri was still in the shower. I wonder why he is showering so long? She got up to go check in on him. He was busy shaving his beard she saw, that was why he was taking so long. She got undressed and surprised him in the shower.

“Wow baby, you gave me a scare,” Demetri exclaimed when her arms encircled him from behind.

Saphera laughed. “Sorry love, the water just looked so inviting.”

“Oh, the water and not me?” he laughed and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

“Well yeah, I am drained after today’s activities, and am in need of a long and hot shower.”

Demetri turned and picked her up--she knew exactly what his intensions were. She could smell his testosterone rising and feel his erection growing harder. The sex in the shower was rough and magnetic—Demetri did not hold back. He slammed into her as hard and as deep as possible. He came twice during the shower session. It was like he was dominating her. After their passionate shower, they both got out and went to bed. They fell asleep quickly.

Saphera again had strange dreams about Celix—but this time Reon was also there. The two Alpha’s were fighting viciously, and she was covered in blood, lying on the forest floor—whose blood was this?

“Saphera, run!” Celix yelled to her, but she could not move.

“I will get her, she is mine!” she heard Reon shout.

As she stumbled to her feet, she saw Reon deliver a final blow to Celix. Celix fell backwards off the cliff into the river below.

“No Celix!” she cried.

Reon turned to her. “Finally you are mine, and mine alone.”

The next morning Saphera woke up more tired than usual. The dream felt so real, and yet she knew that it was a premonition of what was to come. She started on breakfast, and heard Zion calling for her from his room. As per usual he wanted his juice. She poured him a bottle of juice and put him in his highchair in the kitchen where she was busy preparing breakfast. Demetri woke up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and bacon and eggs.

“This smells divine. I’m really going to miss this when I’m working away.”

Saphera just smiled. She was so very lucky to have this small, close-knit family—but now there was someone threatening to change all this, and she would not have it.

After breakfast she packed Demetri’s tog bag for the week. This is going to be a long week, she thought to herself. But maybe it was just what she needed—some time alone to figure out this wolf stuff threatening her and her pack.

***

After Demetri’s colleague picked him up, Saphera went over to Christine’s with Zion. The boys played so well together, and Saphera was so happy about this. When Zion was occupied, she was free.

Their fishing trip did not pan out, as Demetri was ordered to leave on Sunday and not on Monday as planned. After Saphera enjoyed a lovely lunch, she and Christine poured themselves each a glass of white wine and enjoyed it with some Turkish Delight chocolates. Jack and Henno were playing PlayStation with little Zion passed out on the bed between them. Jacob was out with his friends, fishing at the river, and Christine had decided to stay home due to Saphera not being able to go along.

Christine and Saphera talked about dinner ideas for the week to come. Saphera had noticed that Christine loved pasta and salad—What a strange combination, she thought to herself. Saphera on the other hand loved fruit and vegetables as well as red meat. They created a complete dinner menu for the five days, and worked in a braai for when Demetri returned on Friday.

On Sunday night, Saphera ate leftovers from Saturday and made some scrambled eggs with viennas for Zion— he loved those. At bath time she treated Zion to a bubble bath with oils. She put him to bed after the bath and prepared a similar bath for herself except with candles and wine as an addition. She sank into the water feeling the stress of the weekend washing away. After bath she covered herself with oil and added a mask to her hair and wrapped it in a towel. She got ready for bed and took one of her favourite books to bed with another glass of wine. She enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Hearing a noise outside, immediately her senses were up in arms. She went over to the window only to see the shadow of a man standing opposite her driveway, staring at the house. Something seemed familiar about this figure, something about him raised the hair on her arms.

It can’t be. Reon? What the hell is he doing here?

Furious, Saphera’s nails started to grow and her eyes burned with red flames.

If he wants a fight, he’ll get one hell of a fight.

She was about to go outside, when Zion called her name—he wanted some milk. She turned from the window just as the shadow slipped around the corner.

I’ll have to tell Celix about this, she knew. Reon is tres-passing and he’s starting to put me on edge. She did not like it.

***

On Monday morning, Saphera woke up and put together a nice healthy shake and some delicious food for Zion for school that day. She felt on edge. She dropped Zion off and went straight to the office to find Celix and tell him about her encounter with Reon the night before.

Celix knew immediately that something was wrong with her. “What happened?”

“Reon was at my house last night.”

“What the hell? And you didn’t think to maybe call me?” “Well, no. It’s not your problem.” “Saphera, what if he attacked you?”

“Well then he’d be faced with a really pissed off female.” She turned on her heel, not wanting to continue this discussion.

Back in his office, Celix was trembling with anger. If anything were to happen with Saphera, he would be out for blood. Entering the office, Josh immediately sensed something was wrong.

“Celix, what’s happened?” Josh asked.

Celix elaborated on Reon’s visit to Saphera.

Josh was taken aback—now their element of surprise was out of the window. “Celix, so what do you suggest we do?”

“Well, we at least know his name and that he is not afraid of showing his face in town, which means he is more arrogant than we thought. Which might be in our favour.”

“Reon knows about Saphera now, which means he’ll probably be focused on her more,” Josh said.

“Yes, that might give us a bit of time to plan and plot, but my concern is her safety first. What if he attacked her?”

“I think she’ll be fine, Celix. Remember—she’s from one of the strongest packs in history, and a true blood as well. That means she can harness the strength to kick his ass back to the hole he came from.”

“Yes Josh, but you are forgetting something—her cub. Reon will use Zion as leverage, and she will not put her cub in danger.”

“So what do you suggest? Maybe patrol her neighborhood until we have a plan of action?”

“Yes, I think we can do that. She will obviously be pissed, but it’s for her and Zion’s safety.”

After work Saphera was fuming. What—patrolling my neighbourhood now? Celix is really underestimating me. Fighting back would be futile, as both of them were ready to attack one another in a heated argument. This Alpha is really starting to forget his place with me, I am not one of his pack, so ordering me around is not going to happen.

At home Saphera bathed Zion and started on a nice fish and vegetable dinner for them both. The house was empty and quiet without Demetri. After dinner, Saphera followed her normal routine with Zion before his bedtime. She decided to sit and read with a glass of wine. She phoned Demetri afterwards to check in on him and make sure all was going well. He was very tired—they were working double time now to get the machines ready for next month. After their phone call, she received a call from Celix.

“Hi, I’m just checking in to see if everything is okay?” “Yes, everything is fine. No problems so far.” “Great, then I guess goodnight.” “Night, Celix.”

The next morning, she missed her alarm. She rushed to get everything done and drop Zion off. At the office she could feel the atmosphere was tense. Probably this Reon business, she figured. She headed for the kitchen to make herself a strong cup of black coffee. She figured she needed it.

Celix entered her office just before lunch and asked her to join him and the others in his office. She obliged and went to his office, sensing a lot of tension and anger.

“What is wrong?” she asked Celix.

“Reon attacked one of our girls last night and killed her off.” He said it as if he had no emotions.

“What the hell?”

“Apparently she was caught in his territory and was tortured for information about you?” Celix looked Saphera dead in the eye. She felt his anger as her own.

“Why about me? I mean, I’m not even the pack leader here?”

“It’s obvious,” Zander said. “He’s intrigued by you, and for some reason he sees you as a threat. More than Celix. I think it might have to do with your origins. He was asking a lot of questions about what pack you belonged to, and if you are a true Alpha or not.”

“How do you know what he asked?”

“Her mate translated her last thoughts to us.”

I felt sick to my stomach and anger flared in my eyes glowed. My nails hurt as they began to grow. Celix reacted immediately by taking my hands.

“Saphera, calm down.”

“Calm down, Celix? How do you think am I supposed to do that?” I was furious and my anger was growing, my hair started to glow crimson red as well. Josh and the other stepped back—they had never witnessed an Alpha female get this angry. “One of yours was killed because of me, because that dickhead asshole wanted to know who I am? Well guess what—he just pissed me off enough to want to make a trip to him.”

“Saphera, you are not thinking straight.”

Celix was starting to worry. Fuck, she’s angry as hell, he thought. And now her hair had started to glow, which meant she was a few seconds away from killing off everyone in the room. He gestured to Josh and the rest to leave immediately. They left, and he focused on her. I must calm her down, or she will wreak havoc in this place.

“Saphera, please. You have to trust me. Reon will get served what he deserves. But we need a plan, we need a strategy.”

“I want him, I want to be the one to kill his sorry ass.” Even in her state of anger, she was majestic. After about two minutes her hair and eyes started to dim. She was calming down.

As she left his office the whole house was on eggshells. The pack could feel her anger, and it scared them. She smiled on the inside, for she knew a Mignan wolf angers differently to the rest. She harnessed all the anger of the wolves near her into destructive energy. This made her a difficult target. She entered her office and shut the door. She was still angry, but she could focus now at least.

Celix was trembling. He hadn’t known that Saphera harnessed that much energy—if angered right, she could kill off a whole wolf pack on her own. When Zane and the rest entered, he saw she’d had the same effect on them and the whole pack. She was a grenade waiting to explode in the battlefield.

“Was that her?”

“Yes,” Celix answered, feeling their fear.

“Fuck, she is strong. Maybe stronger than you?” Zane said.

Celix did not argue—he knew Zane had a point. There was no way he would be able to make Saphera submit without risking his life and that of the whole pack. She would rip them all to pieces. She was a force to be reckoned with.

After the day had passed, Saphera was tired and in need of some downtime. She picked up Zion from school, had a quick chat with Demetri. They seemed to be on schedule with their work, so he would be back by Sunday. Saphera put Zion’s favourite cartoons on and gave him some healthy snacks and juice. She decided to take a long and well-deserved bath. This day was chaotic. She’d never lost her temper like she had in front of Celix today. Even he’d had a glimpse of fear in his Alpha eyes. Good, she thought to herself. That will teach him to undermine me again.

The whole house was wary of her after that small show of power. She demanded respect and to be treated as an Alpha—she was not just another wolf in the pack. She poured her third glass of red wine finished it in two gulps. She got out of the bath and Found Zion curled up and asleep on his favourite couch. Luckily, he’d eaten all his food and finished his juice. She dressed him in in his sleepwear and carried him to his room. She got dressed in just a pair of panties, wanting to sleep in the bare mini-mum clothing—she was feeling a bit hot after the wine. Around 2am she woke to the strange feeling of someone watching her. She got up and went to the window, just to peek through—then saw his red eyes beaming at her. Was it Reon? She used her wolf senses, but no it was not Reon—it was Celix.

He’s probably on patrol duty, she thought to herself.

She turned and went to get a glass of water.

Celix walked over and knocked. “Saphera may I come in?” he asked politely.

“Why? Is it cold out?”

“No, I want to talk about yesterday, about that rage of yours?”

“Why? Are you scared of me, now that you have seen a glimpse of my power?”

“To be honest, yes. I am a bit scared, and so is the pack.”

“Fine, just let me get a shirt.”

Saphera grabbed an oversized T-shirt from her wardrobe and put it on. She went to open the door for Celix.

He’s gorgeous, she thought to herself. He was wearing a thin, see-through shirt and tight shorts. His muscles strained against his clothes. He was muscular, as she’d noticed before. The moonlight danced on his skin. He was a crea-ture of the night and he was handsome. She immediately changed her gaze when he found her staring.

“You like what you see?” he teased her.

“Well obviously you are attractive, and have a gorgeous body. You’re a wolf, you know. So what’s not to like?” She was telling the truth, he was handsome and he was her type, and not just physically but mentally, too. But she was already with Demetri, whom she loved dearly.

She was so gorgeous, standing there in black and pink panties he could see. Dammit, she is beautiful. It made him boil in his groin and his blood rush. Fuck, what I wouldn’t do to just claim her here and now. She was the definition of an Alpha female. He could see her nipples underneath her shirt, hiding her perfect, full breasts.

“Are you done undressing me with your eyes, Celix?” She forced his attention back to real life. “Apologies Saphera, but you are aware of the effect you have on me.” He changed the subject quickly and talked about her raging power of the previous day.

“Celix, I told you a million times I can control my anger.” Saphera closed the subject.

Celix was not happy with her arrogance—it just made him hotter in the groin area.

Bloody hell, this woman is like a drug and I have not yet even tasted her. But here she stands in minimum clothing and all I can think of is to bend her over that counter and fuck her from behind. If not for that bloody mortal she claimed to love, he would have already made a move to bed her.

Saphera was standing there thinking what Celix was thinking. She could sense his testosterone rising, and she smelled his arousal before she saw it straining in his paints.

He must leave; she decided she was not ready to be a dishonest fiancée. She knew how it felt to be lied to and cheated on.

“Celix I think you should go.” She stepped forward not to threaten him, but to physically carry the message over.

“Saphera, but why should I go?” Celix stepped forward and found himself in front of her in the middle of the kitchen. He wasn’t sure what to do, but she was pulling him in so deep with her eyes and her smell.

“Celix, I am being serious. Please go home, I don’t want to Alpha your ass out of here.”

He lifted his hand to touch her face, but in an instant, he was flat on his back and she was on top of him.

“I told you to leave,” she said with gleaming red eyes and a dominating growl.

“Fine,” he pushed her off and they both got to their feet. “I’ll leave. But you will come to your senses one day and figure out that the mortal will not be able to satisfy you like I will.” And with that he forced a kiss on her lips.

Sparks ignited and growls were exchanged. She pushed him away so hard he fell again, and she jumped him, pinning him to the floor red eyes gleaming and hair glowing. “Get out!” she shouted.

He got up, smiled and left.

She was so mad, she could howl. She went back to bed with eyes still gleaming. How dare he, how dare he kiss her. All that she knew was that work tomorrow was going to be a lot different than usual.
