The Alpha & I

Chapter A Luna is Born

Tristan couldn’t keep it up anymore, he smirked and burst out laughing. “I’m joking, I’m joking!”

Sirena’s expression morphed from shock to a mix of frustration and anger. He sat up and she punched him in the stomach. He recoiled rolling over onto his side and grimaced in pain.

“Holly... You’ve gotten stronger.” He said breathlessly.

“I have been training while you’ve been away! Asshole!” She folded her arms and stood up turning her back to him. “Of all the things...” She trailed off shaking her head.

He slid out of the bed and wrapped his arms around her. He nuzzled into her neck sending chills down her spine before he whispered into her ear. “I’m sorry...”

The sound of his voice was melting her resolve, she could feel his breath on her skin, it was making the hairs across her back stand on end. The things he could do to her, she was about to let out a soft moan until he spoke again.

“Your expression was worth it though.” He stated mockingly.

She sighed heavily as frustration grew again. She went to elbow him, but he was ready for her this time. He gripped her arm and spun her around a hungry expression on his face.

Her breath caught and her heart began to pound, she was afraid it might burst out of her chest. He dipped his head, about to catch her lips when she pushed him back onto the bed. However, he still had a hold of her arms so with a light tug she was forced to straddle him.

The moan she had been holding escaped her lips as she landed on him, his jeans not hiding the budge rubbing against the most sensitive part of her body. Biting her lip, she tried her best to suppress it and the urge to give in to him right then. No matter how much her body was telling her yes, she wasn’t having that!

She watched his eyes slide down her form as he released her arms, his hands moving to rest on her hips. He slid them under her shirt, and she couldn’t help but arch her back as the soft sensation lightly tickled across her skin.

When his hands slid ever so slightly under the hem of her pants, she grabbed them and pinned them to the bed. His menacing smirk was a clear challenge to her.

“Not happening.” Her voice was harsh and filled with lust.

He raised a brow at her, his smirk only widening. “You’re telling me you don’t want me?” He purposely lifted his pelvis up to grind harder into her.

She growled a deep and almost threatening sound that only made him chuckle. He could easily break free from her grip if he wanted to, but he was having too much fun.

“I’ll take that as a no then... Let me make you mine, be mine.” His eyes were burning with such intensity it was hard to say no. “You said you would.”

She shook her head. “Not yet, we should wait a little longer.”

His expression changed to that of confusion.

“You, being the Alpha...” She started, “Need to unite the packs, settle the leopards in and then we can think about us and what we should do.”

She was right of course. “And this is why you will make a go- no a great Luna.” He concurred.

He sat up, the action taking her by surprise. She gasped and nearly fell backwards, but he was there in an instant, catching her and pulling her close. His lips locked with hers and she melted into his embrace. Her hands cupped his face gently his arms wrapped around her as they shared an intimate kiss.

A soft knocking at the door made him pull away, the burning hunger once again evident in his gaze. “I called for him, otherwise we would never be able to leave this room.” He explained.

Her cheeks flushed as she caught his meaning, they could very easily get caught up in each other. She nodded and unpeeled herself from him, standing she went to open the door already knowing Gail was waiting outside. Inviting him in the men exchanged a brief hug and were about to depart when Tristan turned to her.

“You coming?” He asked.

“Well, with you back, I don’t think I’m needed anymore, I’d just be in the way.” She replied.

He tilted his head to one side and looked at Gail. “And what was it that you just said to me?”

Gail half laughed and smiled. “That the others are all waiting for the Alpha and Sirena.”

“Me?” She questioned.

Gail nodded and Tristan wore a proud smile. “The pack has grown quite fond of you Sirena, you did a great job managing everyone while the Alpha was away. It’s only natural to think that you will remain in high standing.” Gail answered.

“But, I’m not Beta or Delta, I’m barely an Omega since I’m still in training.” She was shocked.

“You have the skills of a compassionate leader, and we in this pack value that,” Tristan added holding out his hand to her. “Come, you are wanted.”

She felt tears welling up as she had never felt truly accepted into any pack or family as she had at that moment. She nodded and took his hand without hesitation, she felt she was finally ready for this new chapter in her life.

Sirena stared down at herself unable to believe her current situation. She was wearing a sheer gown that almost showed off her entire body. It was tradition, she had learned, for the mating ritual of the Luna. Tristan’s pack had never been through such a ritual, but the leopards had.

It had taken several weeks to get the new pack sworn in, integrated, trained and happy. The Luna of the leopards had not joined, stating that she would follow her mate (Sirena’s Father). Even if he was full of hatred and deranged, she still loved him and wanted to help him. And with the pack taken care of she didn’t feel she had an obligation to them anymore, she could do as she wanted. But before the Leopard Luna left, she had imparted a fair amount of wisdom to the pack and Sirena herself, which was surprising, given the women despised her.

She understood the Luna's pain now though. Her mate had lain with another woman in order to have her. She couldn't imagine what that had been like. It almost felt sorry for the women.

Taking a deep breath, she couldn't shake the nerves. Letting the air out of her lungs slowly she tried to relax. She loved this pack, and she had been by Tristan’s side for months now, working as his equal. He had respected her choice to wait, and she loved him more and more every day because of it.

Picking up the white fur cloak that had been left for her, she swung it around her shoulders. It was floor length, completely covering her sheer gown. The Alpha was the one who was meant to see it first, who was meant to remove it... She felt the heat rising in her face, shaking off the thoughts she turned to the door.

Saying goodbye to her little room for the last time, since after tonight she wouldn’t be returning to it. She tied the cloak tightly at the nap of her neck, pulling her well-braided hair out from the back. It had grown quite long since she had lost Cedric. A wave of sadness filled her, she still missed him, most of all on days like this. Steadying her nerves, she made her way to the waiting pack outside.

The moon was high as she walked her way across the soft grass barefoot. The pack had created a pathway for her, two groups lined the sides of the courtyard. As she walked past the members of the pack, they gracefully dropped to one knee and placed a hand over their hearts.

Keeping her pace the same, with agonizing effort, she made her way through the crowd and to a platform that stood at the back of the gathering.

Standing in the centre was the Alpha, his arms were behind his back as he waited for her to approach. Upon reaching the platform he expanded a hand to her, she reached out from under the cloak taking hold, accepting his aid, as he helped her up.

Taking her place standing beside him the pack stood once more, waiting for what was to come next. Sirena felt like time stood still as so many lingering eyes landed on them. Tristan squeezed her hand gently before he moved forward to speak.

“In witness to the moon, I Tristan Alpha of the Mori Pack have gathered you all here today to witness the creation of your first Luna.”

Sirena stepped forward once again to stand by his side.

“Sirena of both the wolf and leopard clans. This She-wolf hybrid joined the Mori pack in a time of death, bloodshed and war.”

So many mixed emotions ran through her mind at his words, but only one thing really stayed with her, the ache in her heart she felt from not having Cedric. But she was also oddly still so grateful to him since she wouldn’t be standing here, next to Tristan, if not for him.

“She quickly rose through the ranks, earned the entire pack's respect with her quick wit, loving nature and most of all her compassion not just for our pack but for all were-creatures alike.”

The entire pack erupted with a “here, here.”

Tristan turned to her, his hands finding the ties of the cloak. Their eyes locked and she held her head high, he undid the cloak letting it slide to her feet. His eyes shifted from hers to her body, taking her in. His gaze moved slowly, sending a shiver down her spine.

He then took hold of one of her hands and moved to present her to the pack. She stood in front of him now, the urge to close her eyes and turn away from the onlooking crowd was rising high.

The sheer gown, with the moonlight behind it, left barely anything to the imagination. But they were wolves and leopards, as Tristan had said, they were proud were creatures. Letting the embarrassment melt away she held her head high and smiled. This was her now.

She felt his hands on her, one snaked around her waist the other around her neck gently tilting her head to one side. She tensed.

It will only hurt for a moment, I promise. He reassured her in her mind.

Glancing at him sideways she could see his eyes glistening with a furious golden colour, his mouth was filled with protruding teeth as he half-transformed to be able to mark her. It was an impressive skill to transform only a portion of your body and she hadn’t perfected it yet.

He bent his head to her neck, opened his jaw and sunk his fangs deep into her flesh, the crowd erupted with howls.

Her breath caught as her heart burst into action, beating furiously in her chest. Her face showed no shock as she remained strong and stern in her stance. Her eye twitched as an intense burning formed around the spot he had bitten.

Not a whimper left her lips as he pulled back, his face back to normal again. She leaned back against him with a sigh, the burning soon faded from her neck and she was left with a slightly risen faded marking of a wolf's head. Mia Joined the howls as she felt the connection sink in even to her. She was his.

The howling soon came to a stop, and she gasped as he scoped her up into his arms and jumped from the platform.

“What are you doing?” She whispered having to wrap her arms around his neck to keep herself from flailing about.

“You wish me to mate with you in front of everyone?” He questioned with a raised brow and his usual smirk.

Her eyes widened as she blushed, shaking her head frantically she clung to him as he darted them out of site using his inhuman speed.

She laughed as they reached his room, her new room, of which she was thrown down onto the bed.

“You don’t want to party with the other wolves first?” She asked mockingly. She’d made him wait months for tonight, she clearly knew the answer.

“I can party all I want after I play with you.” His voice was so deep it almost sounded like he was growling when he spoke. The shirt he’d worn was already gone and his belt was undone before she could even sit up.

She giggled, this was the start of her life with him, her Alpha, her Love. The start of many long and pleasure-filled evenings as they worked together to better each other and the pack.
