Chapter 69-4
He shook his head, "No, Alpha, there has been no response on anything from them.
I heaved deeply. I hated that my father thought I might be incompetent to handle this on my own but I had to show him just what exactly I was capable of,
"Call Tyson and inform him to meet me there tomorrow," I ordered and Daniel nodded his head before walking away to do just as I had instructed,
As soon as he was gone, my grip tightened on the banister. It almost felt like I was going to pull it out of its place. My heart was thumping so fast. That fucking son of a bastard mother couldn’t be here with me competing for what the hell was mine..I would never allow it. Now that I had a child coming on the way, I had better leverage,
Bastard children were meant to stay out! It was the damn rule and my mother made sure of it before her death.
My gaze darted to the watch on my wrist and I realized it was almost time for dinner. I turned around to leave but spotted Amelia behind me,
Once she sighted me, she hurried towards me and wrapped her arms around me in a tight hug,
"Don’t leave again without telling me, Dexter, I was so worried about you. Where were you?" She muttered in a soft voice and I took a deep breath in so I could control my erratic breathing,
I slowly wrapped my arms around her too, "I had some Alpha duties to attend to. I’m sorry I walked away." I uttered and she nodded her head while still resting on my chest,
I gently rubbed her hair until she broke the hug and stared at me,
"Let’s have dinner, I’m hungry." She uttered and I nodded my head. I held her hand and we both began to walk toward the dining,
As we got there, only the witch and Scarlett were seated and waiting for others, Once Scarlett stared at me, I took my gaze from her immediately and she frowned. I wanted to turn around and walk away, but Amelia held my hand so I couldn’t leave,
We walked over to the table and took our seats with Amelia sitting close to me. Clara came afterwards, followed by my father and it was time to eat once we were all complete,
Amelia was the only person keeping me sane right where I was seated. As soon as the maids waiting behind served the dishes on our plates, I picked up my fork to eat, but the old man suddenly decided to speak,
"Clara, get ready, we’re throwing a mating ceremony for you as soon as possible."
