Chapter 66-2
because I was on the verge of tears right now,
"You’re joking right?" I muttered and almost immediately, my phone began to ring. It was Clara calling me,
I rubbed a drop of tear settling at the base of my lower lashes and picked up the call,
"Surprise!!" Clara yelled on the phone, but shockingly, I could hear her voice behind me. I turned around to see her and Tyson a few meters away from me and it was at this moment it dawned on me that all of this was a surprise just for me,
My tears increased and I let them roll down freely,
Clara ran to me and hugged me tight,
"Surprise baby, you deserve all of this, Amelia, because you’re a perfect soul. Thank you for making Dexter know what it means to love again."
I chuckled and hugged her back, then I darted my face to Dexter for a few seconds, "Congratulations, Amelia. I guess you’re now a boss of your own." Tyson uttered and I chuckled again. There was no damn way I would ever forget all of this today,
"So let’s do the good part. I wanna smell all those perfect flowers." Clara uttered,
I wrapped myself in Dexter’s body instead, hugged him so tight,
"I love you so much," I uttered and he responded,
"I love you too."
He handed me the key, and even as my hands wouldn’t stop shaking, I tucked the key into the keyhole, held the doorknob, and twisted the key in it. I took a deep breath in and finally opened the door. As I stepped in, the sweet smell of flowers engulfed my nose and I couldn’t help but shut my eyes to inhale them better. This was just a dream come true,
There were so many kinds of flowers, starting from roses to lilies, sunflowers, lilacs, morning glory, and a lot more. I had practically studied so much about flowers and what they perfectly represented,
"How did you know I wanted this?" I question Dexter
Clara and Tyson were together checking out some of the flowers at the other edge,
"It’s a secret." He murmured to me. "I just wanted to get you a gift for winning a week ago, Amelia, and although you didn’t tell me what you wanted, I knew this would serve as a perfect gift to you."
"I love it so much, Dexter, thank you."
After arranging a few things and putting other things in order, we were ready to finally leave the store. I shut the door and tucked the keys into my handbag,
