Chapter 65-1
Chapter 65
DEXTER:
"Any news?" I question Daniel.
"I’m almost done giving her all the information, Alpha. She will be fully ready in a few days." Daniel responded and I nodded my head at him. I continued to check the files in front of me,
"I think a vampire is lurking around the packs, Daniel. It could be more than one, but I doubt it. If they were more than one, they would certainly have caused more harm."
I raised my gaze to see him with a shocked expression,
"Probably we have some rogues working with a vampire," I muttered,
"That’s a first in history, Werewolves and vampires don’t work together." "That’s why it’s even more confusing. Maybe I saw something wrong earlier." I murmured to myself, lost in thought as I recalled the bite I had seen earlier. The marks around the victim’s necks had turned purple, and it was swollen. I had seen that from a vampire bite 10 years ago before my father banished them from North America for good.
The war between vampires, witches, and werewolves wasn’t an easy fight, but the old man was able to bring them to their knees and they were banished for good,
We hadn’t had issues with those creatures for years,
"Put the men out for a look at anything strange. I think I know the next pack that might be attacked." I instructed Daniel and rose to my feet,
I had left Amelia in bed for too long and I didn’t want her to wake up without seeing me in bed with her.
"Yes, Alpha." As I held the doorknob, I turned around to face Daniel,
"Keep this a secret from the Alpha King for as long as possible."
He nodded his head again and I stepped out of my study room, heading towards my room,
As I approached the room, Scarlett stepped out of her room, and seeing her, I could have completely ignored her had she not called my attention,
"I guess you’re still mad at me, Dexter. I really didn’t know Amelia was carrying your baby before I attacked her."
"It would be best if we don’t bring up that topic right now, Scarlett. You tried to kill my wife and my unborn child!" I uttered, but she heaved deeply,
"I just need you to talk to me, Dexter. I’m fed up with all this silent treatment from you. I hate it."
"You’ll hear from me when you truly deserve it
