The 5-time Rejected Luna Queen

Chapter 62-3

wasn’t mad because I knew she needed all the time she could get with Tyson. Their relationship was just a week old and they were both crazy about each other

I was even more excited that Clara had taken a bold step to accept and confess her feelings for Tyson. I heaved deeply as I spotted another message from her,

"I’ll be home today, Amelia, I promise." I

I chuckled and dropped my phone again when I heard Dexter’s voice,

"Baby, I need to step out for a moment, will you be okay without me?" He questioned but the look in his eyes was completely different.

I nodded my head "Is everything alright? Did something happen?" I questioned as I watched him hurry towards the wardrobe,

Dexter didn’t respond and it was unlike him. I rose to my feet and began heading towards him, "Talk to me, is something wrong?"

As soon as he was done dressing up, he finally raised his gaze to give me attention,

"Yes baby, everything’s fine. It’s nothing I can’t handle." He responded, buttoning his shirt in a hurry, but as he turned to leave I held his hand,

"There’s something wrong, Dexter; please talk to me," I murmured and when he saw the worried look on my face, he heaved deeply,

"There was another pack attack, and just a few of its members survived. I have to go check it out."

I widened my eyes,

"Is it them again? Vampires?" I questioned with a frightened look but Dexter held my hand and rubbed it gently,

"No, Amelia. I’m pretty certain they aren’t vampires, trust me. It might have been another rogue attack, and I promise I’ll be back before nightfall." He responded and I nodded my head, "Stay safe, I love you." He uttered and planted a kiss on my forehead again before walking out of the room. I clasped my palms together, worrying so much about Dexter.

In a hurry, I rushed towards the bed and grabbed my phone so I could dial Clara’s number. I really wasn’t comfortable with the fact that Dexter was going all alone. What if the rogues are way too many for him to handle,

"Hello." Clara’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts,

"Clara, Dexter needs help. There’s been another pack attack." I uttered worriedly on the phone and as soon as she responded, I placed my phone close to my chest and heaved deeply. The only thing I could do was pray that he return safely.
