Take Me To The Lake: Chapter 18
and I turn over, Cash’s strong arm is around my waist. Immediately, he pulls me tight against him with my back to his chest. The movement is enough that the glint of sun hits my eyes.
We’ve spent a few days up here in his cabin, and this place feels more like home than any place I’ve ever lived in my life. I love it but it’s scary at the same time too because I don’t want to ever feel like I’m staying with him or my feelings for him are there just because I don’t want to lose this feeling of home.
Laying there soaking up the feel of his arm around me and the comfort that he provides, I enjoy it for a moment. But I know I’m not going to be able to get back to sleep. The last few mornings he’s been waking up before me and making me breakfast and now is my chance to return the favor.
With some careful and very slow maneuvering, I’m able to sneak out of bed without waking him up. Then I head into the kitchen and get the coffee going. When I pass by the kitchen window something catches my eye. I stop and look out onto the tree line, and I don’t see anything, but I have the distinct feeling that someone is watching me.
The longer I stare out the window, the more intense the feeling becomes, and I start to get a little freaked out. I really wanted to make breakfast for Cash this morning, but instead I go back into the bedroom to wake him up.
‘Cash, wake up,’ I say, shaking his arm.
His eyes snap open, and he takes my hand in his.
‘What’s wrong?’
‘I went to make coffee, and something caught my eye in the kitchen window and couldn’t see anything, but I felt like I was being watched the whole time.’
His eyes run over me, and I know he’s thinking the same thing I am. At least from the outside, it looks like I’m dressed. I’m wearing one of his oversized T-shirts as a nightgown, and it covers everything because they’re so big on me.
Jumping out of bed, he pulls on a shirt and walks out of the bedroom. Once in the kitchen, he glances out the window and then grabs his shotgun as he slips on his boots.
‘Stay here. Lock the door behind me,’ he says.
But he doesn’t even wait for my reply as he steps out.
I do as he says and lock the door behind him. Then rush over to the back door and make sure that it’s locked, too. Returning to the kitchen, I watch him go towards the tree line.
The moment he disappears into the trees, I become extremely uneasy. It’s like he’s my safety net and without him in my eyesight, I’m extremely uncomfortable.
He’s not gone for long and a few minutes later he comes walking out of the woods and the look on his face says it all, it’s not good news.
Opening the door, I meet him on the porch. He wraps an arm around my waist, and pulls me back into the house while looking over his shoulder. Then he closes and locks the door behind him.
‘There was definitely someone out there, I saw fresh tracks. Probably, I should have been able to catch something on one of the hunting cameras, so let’s go pull up the feeds.’
Taking my hand, he pulls me towards the library where his computer is. Then he sits at the computer desk, and I stand beside him. Apparently, it’s not good enough for him because he pulls me onto his lap. Then he wraps one arm securely around my waist as if he’s afraid I’m going to run off or someone is going to try to take me right off his lap.
With his other hand, he works the computer. While waiting for the video to load, he runs his hand up and down my leg to my upper thigh, but never going too high. But the skin on skin contact is enough to drive me crazy. It’s a great distraction because I almost forget why we’re sitting here.
When the video loads, Cash freezes. Clear as day there is a man on the feed. He’s wearing a hoodie and his head is tilted down, so we don’t have a clear view of his face. But he looks tall and thin, nor is he’s not muscular like Cash and his friends.
As I’m staring at the video, all of a sudden, the computer screen goes black.
‘Baby, I’ve got you. Come, here.’ Cash says, lifting me up and carrying me back to the bedroom.
Then laying me down, he crawls into bed beside me, putting the blankets over us and pulling me tightly to his side.
‘Are you okay? You’re shaking.’ He asks as he rubs my arm.
‘I didn’t even realize that I was,’ I whisper and snuggle up to him.
We lie like that for a few minutes as his warmth surrounds me before he finally speaks again.
Today especially, I don’t want you to be alone.’
‘I don’t want to be alone either,’ I admit.
Then he turns on his side so that he is facing me. ‘Seems like a good day to go see Jana. It’ll give you someone to talk to and we’ll get off the mountain.’
With my face in his neck, he rests his hand on my hip before sliding down to the hem of his shirt that I’m wearing.
‘What do you think about possibly having dinner with Axel and Emelie? I’d like you to officially meet them. Not only do I think that you and Emelie could be friends, but I want to talk to Axel about all this, too.’
‘I’d like that. She seems really nice,’ I say.
He keeps playing with the hem of the shirt. There are a few more minutes of silence before he pulls the shirt up over my hip. I’m not wearing underwear, as it’s pointless around Cash. It may have been both our first time down at the lake, but he’s a fast learner and he’s been studying my body every chance he gets.
Knows exactly how to drive me crazy and it’s that information he uses against me now. The moment he touches my clit, my mind goes blank. As he plays with me, he gently pulls my head back to look into my eyes.
While his fingers roll over my clit, his eyes capture mine. This isn’t about learning something or making me forget anything. Right here, right now, our souls are connecting.
This is just about us. He takes me to the edge of an orgasm and stops. Pulling his pants and shirt off, his eyes are back on me again.
Without a word, he slides into me. That magic moment when he enters me is always breathtaking. The feel of him stretching me and his dick fitting snugly inside is perfect. Our connection is exquisite. But with our eyes on each other, it feels like so much more than just sex.
With slow, shallow thrusts, he works his way into me. When Cash is fully seated, he pauses and leans in for a kiss that is over all too fast.
Once again, he starts thrusting slowly into me. The message is clear. He plans to take his time with me.
Wrapping my legs around his hips and my arms around his neck, I hold him to me.
I love the feeling of his body caging me, protecting me, and hiding me from the outside world. All while he turns me inside out.
When he breaks the connection, it’s only to lean down and whisper into my ear. ‘I love you and will always protect you.’
I can feel his hot breath on my skin wash over me with his promise.
As the sensations engulf me, I feel safe and loved. When his body trembles as he holds off his orgasm waiting for mine, I know this life is the one I’m meant to live. Letting go and feeling the most immense pleasure I have ever known only proves me right.
Experiencing what my body can make Cash, a powerful man, do, and watching him fall apart for me is both powerful and freeing. I want to tell him I love him and want to always be here with him. But as he rolls to his side and pulls me into him, the words get stuck in my throat.
