“It’s going fine,” I replied. “What makes you think that it isn’t?”

“I met your assistant today and she told me. Why didn’t you let me know?”

“Everything is good, Claire. I would have told you. But, I don’t have an assistant.”

“Well, I talked with someone who thinks she is.”
