Chapter 77 Whose Mother Was She
"Yes, I have found her," Nancy said as she tucked Charles in.
"Where is she?" Bobby asked curiously.
"She's out." The fact was that Nancy didn't want Nadia to meet Bobby, or, she didn't want Nadia to see Angelina.
They would only feel embarrassed when they meet each other.
"Nancy, you look so young. How could you have given birth at such a young age? Does your mother know about it? Alas, if I have a daughter..." said Angelina.
"Mommy, please don't mind. My grandma's menopausal! She's just nagging!" Bobby interrupted Angelina.
"Yes, Nancy. Bobby is right. When you are convenient, try finding a doctor for my mother," Charles echoed.
"Humph! You two!" Angelina grabbed the heat preservation box beside her in anger. "Well, for you both, this Nancy is out of the league, isn't she? And I am dispensable? Come here, Nancy, you feed my son some soup now."
"Aunt, he isn't supposed to eat after the operation. I'll prepare some food for him when he's hungry." As a doctor, Nancy was more professional in her approach than Angelina.
"Fine. Then there is no need for me to be here," Angelina said angrily. "Nancy, my son was hurt because of your child, so you are responsible for being his nursing assistant, aren't you?"
"Don't worry, aunt. I'll take good care of Mr. Fu," Nancy said sincerely.
"If Dorothy was here, I wouldn't let you take care of him even if you wanted to. But unfortunately, she's not here now. She is even more beautiful than you and she hails from a rich family as well. Most importantly, she hasn't given birth to any child, you know," Angelina said ironically.
Nancy's face paled at the words.
"Bobby, go back home with your grandma." Listening to her nagging, Charles felt his wound to be more painful.
And his heart ached. It ached for Nancy.
He felt dejected thinking about her for being criticized by his mother in such an undisguised way.
"All right!" Holding Bobby's hand, Angelina turned around to leave.
Just at that moment, Doris happened to come in with Nadia.
Nadia had taken a shower and looked quite cute. She wore a cute small grey blue skirt. Doris arranged her hair into a neat bun. Nadia was pleasant and attractive in her manners.
"Oh, auntie, here you are. Are you going to leave?" Doris asked, totally unaware of the situation.
"Well, I am useless here. Why should I stay here?" Angelina said angrily.
"Nadia, how come you are here?" Bobby asked curiously.
"I came to see my mommy." Nadia said happily.
"Mommy? Who is your mommy?" Bobby's tone turned cold.
"She is my mommy." Nadia pointed her finger at Nancy proudly.
All of a sudden, Bobby's face turned cold. He said, "That's my mommy, not yours."
"But I'm my mom's baby and you're your mom's baby. How can you take my mom away from me?" Nadia said sadly.
"I..." Bobby had thought that he would get along well with Mommy's daughter and he wished to act like a big brother.
But he didn't expect that Mommy's daughter would be Nadia.
Besides, Nadia hurt him by telling that he was not Mommy's baby and couldn't take Mommy away from her.
Who was taking away Mommy?
Why did Bobby feel that Nadia was trying to take Mommy away from him?
Bobby was so angry that he reached out his hand and tried to push Nadia. "Nadia Yan, I am telling you. Nancy is my mommy. You should leave, now!"
"Hey, what are you doing?" Doris protected Nadia, "Bobby, can't Nancy be both your mom as well as Nadia's mom?"
"What nonsense are you talking? Bobby, give Nancy to this little girl. One day, I'll find you a good woman as your mommy. Listen to me, baby. You don't want her," Angelina said disdainfully.
"No, I don't want to hear you, grandma. I have found the best Mommy in the world. I don't want anybody else as my mommy," Bobby said stubbornly, his eyebrows raised.
When he was bossy like that, he was just like Charles.
Like father, like son.
"Bobby, you are so disappointing!" Fuming in anger, Angelina tried to drag him away. She really couldn't understand why Charles and Bobby were deeply attracted towards Nancy. It was like she was a magnet. She had met with many strange incidents in her life, but this was one of a kind. This was the first time when she encountered such strange things.
"Get out, Nadia," Bobby yelled at her. With things unsolved, Bobby was unwilling to leave.
If he left and Nadia would stay back, Mommy would be taken away by her.
"No, I am not going anywhere. My mommy is here and I want to stay here with her," Nadia said.
Hearing her words, Bobby shook off his hand and let go of Angelina. "Grandma, you can go back by yourself. I am going to stay here."
"Good, great! You are as poisoned as your dad. You both stay here and do whatever you want. I will leave by myself!" After saying that, Angelina left angrily.
When Nadia had rushed into Nancy's arms, she blinked and asked, "Mommy, am I pretty?"
"Of course, sweetheart. In my eyes, you are the prettiest baby in the world." At this moment, Nancy was so happy that she wanted to provide the best things in the world to Nadia. While saying that, she kissed on Nadia's little face.
Hearing what Nancy said, Bobby felt very jealous.
He came to Nancy and asked bossily, "Mommy, what do you think? Am I handsome?"
It suddenly dawned on Nancy that Bobby had already regarded her as his own mother.
"Of course you are! You are the most handsome boy in the whole world!" Nancy said intimately.
Then, Bobby pointed at his cheek.
So, Nancy had to bent over and kiss on his cheek.
Seeing this, Doris shrugged and smiled. "Nancy, I envy you so much. You already have a son and a daughter for no reason."
"Doris, stop making fun of me, please. Well, Jay... By the way, where is Jay?" It suddenly came to Nancy's mind that she hadn't seen him for a long time.
"Oh, yes. I wondered where he is. I also haven't seen him." In fact, Doris wanted to ask about Jay for a long time, but she didn't want Nancy to misunderstand her, so she just dropped it.
Now that Nancy asked, she too wanted to know it.
"I think you should go and find him," said Charles.
"Alright. Bobby, don't bully Nadia. You are her big brother," Doris said half-jokingly and half-seriously.
"I won't lower myself to the same level as a little girl," Bobby said disdainfully.
Doris walked out of the room.
"Are you both hungry now?" Nancy asked as she checked the time.
"Yes!" The two kids spoke in unison.
"Then I'll go and buy something for you. You two stay here and don't fight with each other, okay?" Nancy warned.
"I want to come with you, Mommy," Nadia said. She was a little afraid of Bobby.
"I also want to come with you, Mommy!" Bobby said as he walked towards the door.
"Alas!" Nancy sighed helplessly. "No. You both stay here, and I'll go by myself.
Nadia, be a good girl," Nancy said as she rubbed Nadia's little head.
"Okay, Mommy." Nadia nodded her head obediently.
"Mommy, I'm good too." Bobby stretched his head towards Nancy.
