Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love

Chapter 110 A Common Purpose

Fannie bit her lips and struggled.

"Don't make any trouble, or you'll hurt yourself," Caspar warned her.

"I know." The sound of her heels clacking on the floor was heard across the room when she stormed out of the house. She asked in a low voice, "Are you Dorothy?"

"I won't tell you my name." It was obvious that Dorothy was wiser than Fannie.

"Well, even if you don't admit it, I have already guessed it. You know what? I can help you. Aside from Charles and Doris, Ethan was also close to Nancy. Ethan was Nancy's first love. If you want to mess with her, you can ask Ethan for help." There was a hint of arrogance when she stated the information.

"Good. But Miss Ning, I also need your help," Dorothy said after a pause.

"How?"

"Just find a way for Nancy and Ethan to go out together. It would be better if it's in a hotel. Do that and leave the rest to me." Dorothy was raising her chin, determined and certain that her plan would turn out well.

"What if Charles knows about it?" Fannie said worriedly. Her confidence slightly faltered.

"That's what the plan is all about."

Hearing that, Fannie had guessed what she was going to do.

However, since it was a secret, she did not want to debunk it.

They had a common purpose. It was to prevent Nancy from marrying Charles.

"The day after tomorrow is my father's birthday. It's a good chance. I'm going to invite the two of them and the rest lies on you."

"Mark my words. I won't let you down." They exchanged phone numbers. "Don't tell others. It will spoil the fun," Dorothy told her. "Don't worry. I'm not that stupid!"

Maybe Fannie was not stupid, but she was easily swayed by jealousy. She was often dictated by her emotions.

There was a fair chance for her to gain Nancy's forgiveness. If only she would turn over a new leaf now, she could still fix her relationship with her sister. And if she chose to focus on running the company well, the Ning family would have a brighter future.

However, Fannie had already wasted countless opportunities to make up for her wrongdoings.

It was like drawing water with a sieve. Maybe because she didn't have any plan to change at all.

It was late when Charles got home.

Nadia didn't come with them. She stayed in the hospital.

"Daddy, are you engaged with Mommy? If that's the case, Mommy will come to our house and finally live with us." Bobby kept nagging on their way home. "The question is not about whether we're engaged or not. It is about whether your mommy agrees or not." A joyful smile crept across his face.

"Daddy, by all means, you must make mommy agree." Bobby looked at him with hopeful eyes.

"Yes, I will."

Since the day he fell in love with Nancy, he had never thought of giving up. It was never an option for Charles.

Nancy had long forgotten about her father's birthday.

Over the years, no matter what kind of way he used to celebrate his birthday, Clark had never informed Nancy.

She didn't bother to think about it anymore.

There was no need to feel lost or sad.

Nancy was taking care of her mother in the hospital.

Jade was awake, but she could only do nothing but cry.

Nancy brought the contract to her. When she saw it, she nodded with a smile.

She knew that her mother cared about shares, so she put the contract under her pillow.

Her phone suddenly rang and it startled her. She composed herself before answering Fannie's call.

"What's up?" Her voice was emotionless.

"Nancy, Dad's birthday will be held in the hotel. I know I've done a lot of things that hurt you. But could you please give me a chance to make it up to you?" Fannie said impassively. "I don't have time," Nancy refused without hesitation.

"I know you don't want to see me, but it's our father's birthday. Have a heart and just do it for him." Her voice sounded gloomy.

"Let Dad say it himself." Although Nancy didn't believe her, she believed Clark.

Anyway, it was unlikely that he wanted to play a trick on her.

To say the least, it was just a dinner in the hotel. What could happen?

Fannie gave the phone to her father.

Clark surely wanted to celebrate a birthday party with Nancy and Fannie.

The older the people get, the more they seek for a family's affection.

He was no exception.

So he sobbed, "Nancy, will you come?"

No matter how tough she was or how much she hated Clark, the moment she heard her father's aged voice, her heart melted.

"Dad, I will go if I have time." She breathed in deeply. She stood up and paced back and forth in front of her mother.

"And Ethan, Doris..." Fannie whispered in her father's ear.

"Yes. Nancy, it is my sixty-sixth birthday. You should find some friends to celebrate with us this year. I remember Doris, and a boy named Ethan. These are all your friends. Bring them with you." If Clark had known that Fannie had planned to mess with Nancy again, he would not have let her come.

However, he was clueless. He thought Fannie grew a conscience and changed for the greater good.

As the saying goes, "Old habits die hard." There are evil people in the world who will remain evil for the rest of their lives.

Fannie was one of them..

"Okay, let me see if they have time." Nancy didn't think it through.

"Okay, that's it. See you at Peacock Hotel the day after tomorrow," Clark said happily.

"See you."

When the call ended, Nancy sat down in front of the bed.

"Mom, do you want me to go?"

Jade nodded. Although Clark had hurt her so much, he was her husband and the only love of her life.

She didn't want her daughter to cut ties with her father.

Nancy gave her mother a hug.

"Mom, you are so kind."

Jade struggled to raise her hand and gave Nancy a pat on the back. "So are you, my child."

It was a piece of cake for Nancy to tell Doris.

Doris agreed without hesitation.

As for Ethan, by the looks of it, she was torn between inviting him in person and giving him a call.

Her train of thought was interrupted by a call from the president of the hospital.

The president asked her to do a surgery tomorrow.

Although the operation was not extremely complicated, it was a little difficult for Jessie. So, Nancy ended up performing the surgery. After washing her hands, she found her way to Ethan's clinic. The mixture of exhaustion and nervousness made her sigh.

Although Ethan had been paying attention to Nancy, he couldn't accept her child.

He could say that he loved Nancy very much but he couldn't say that he loved her child.

He was heartbroken every time he thought of the things that Nancy had done with the father of her child.

Even his fingertips were hurting.

Nancy knocked on the door.

"Come in." Ethan sounded frustrated.

When he recognized it was Nancy, he smiled bitterly with self-mockery.

"Why do you want to see me all of a sudden? I thought you have forgotten me."

"You're my brother. How could I forget?" Nancy said.

Ethan had heard this since he was a child, so he felt nothing when he heard it.

He put down his pen and looked up at her. "So, what do you want?"

TESS WHITE EES!
