Chapter 1051
Aaron sat on the side, a bit surprised, "Hansen, you too?"
"These two kids are really something else. Sure, Mia's young and still kind of a kid, but Andre? He's in his thirties and still acting like this? He even said my grandson's fever was no big deal! Really? They had to give him a shot in his little tush. If it's such a small thing, maybe he should get one too," Hansen
grumbled, shooting a glare at his son. The more he thought about it, the more worked up he got, feeling a pang of sympathy for his little grandson.
Mia perched at the edge of the bed, pouting a bit, "Dad, my husband's a grown man. Criticize me all you want, but give him a break."
Hansen snorted, still not convinced, "So what if he's grown? Is he as old as me? Even if he were pushing eighty, if he deserves criticism, he'll get it."
Mia glanced at her husband standing by the window, slipped off the bed, and shuffled over to him. Taking his hand in hers, she offered some comfort, "Honey, sometimes getting scolded by the folks is a sign they care."
Andre chuckled softly, "I'm alright, just worried about our boy."
The couple gazed at their little bundle of joy. With all the family around, if Mia wanted to hold her son, she'd have to wait in line-and even then, she might not get a turn. Everyone else was too eager to cuddle him.
The next day, Jade came in all fired up, "Mia! Not telling Dad is one thing, but why keep it from us sisters?"
Mia shrugged, "It's not exactly something to brag about. My son's sick, and all I can think about is him. I don't have the headspace to decide who to tell. Besides, if I told you, would you waddle over here with that big belly just to take up more space?"
Jade's bluster faded, "... Fair enough."
"But Mia, don't roast me so smoothly next time. I almost missed that you were teasing me about taking up space," Jade added.
Mia nodded, "Got it, I'll keep that in mind."
Jade then went back to doting on her adorable little nephew.
"By the way, miss smarty pants, how did you even find out my son was sick?" Mia hadn't spilled the beans to anyone.
Her in-laws heard through a servant;
her parents found out from Dr.
Pol.ne?
Hester, who, it turns out, was buddy of her dad's from college.
She couldn't imagine her sister knowing Dr. Hester, let alone making a trip to Maplewood Estates just for a visit.
Molly, confused, asked, "You didn't know?"
Mia blinked, "Know what?"
Molly pointed to her dad, who was cuddling the baby, "Dad's Facebook."
Mia: "..."
She quickly checked Hansen's Facebook page. The latest read.

The post included a picture of Henry nestled in his grandpa's arms, sleeping peacefully.
Beneath it, a string of comments asked about Andre's son.
Hansen had replied: To everyone asking, my grandson has a fever, but he's on the mend. Thanks for the love.
Mia set her phone down, looked at Andre, and sighed, "This is a mess."
By the afternoon, Henry woke up in his grandpa's arms, staring at a room full of unfamiliar faces.
Mia wasn't worn out from holding her son but from playing hostess.
Noticing her sister-in-law and
younger sister-in-law struggling to recognize everyone, Naomi stepped in, "Great aunt, what brings you here?" "Uncle, it's freezing outside, and we would've visited once Henry was out of the hospital. You didn't have to come all this way...
