Chapter ( 4 ) Grandpa
I once had a grandpa who always made me happy when I was sad and blue.
My grandpa always said something to make me happy, when I felt down and out and bad.
I now miss his gentle teasing way, which always made me glad to have a grandpa such as him.
All the times I felt bad he always had something to say to make me glad.
When I didn't feel good he'd always say or do something to make me smile and forget the way I felt for a while.
He'd always done something for me if I'd ask him to, he'd do it if he could.
It won't seem much like Christmas without him this year, it may not be as much fun as it usually was, we may not laugh like we did when he was here in this world.
We may not enjoy the Christmas cheer as we did once upon a time when Grandpa was here, we sure will miss him from day to day, and year to year.
When our families got together on Christmas Eve, we always had a great time of laughter and Christmas cheer.
Now we will have to be on our best behavior on Christmas eve, for Grandma's sake, to help her this Christmas to get over him, without much sadness and pain, because this Christmas is her first Christmas without him.
But with God's helping hand we will be able to, Someday Grandma will be gone too and this whole poem will start all over again.
