The actors of the troupe arrived. Sanford brought Ballard and Abby there.

“Mr. Hill, why are you here?”

Sanford glanced at the man and ignored his words.

“There are too many people here. You’d better come inside.” The man was used to Sanford’s coldness and said calmly, “Your father will get anxious if he can’t find you.” “You’re being annoying. Shut up!” Sanford frowned impatiently.

They all shut up, knowing the consequence of offending Sanford.

Sanford was the most bad-tempered man in the Hill family.

The serv a n t s of the Hill family were inspecting the actors of the troupe. Sanford noticed that they all wore an employee’s card.

He forgot the sh i t t y thing.

Abby and Ballard got afraid of exposing themselves.

Sanford frowned. As he thought of a way, a beautiful woman appeared.

“Sanford, are you here to wait for me?”

Joan’s smile was tender and her voice was gentle. She acted as if the one who beat Sanford wasn’t her.

“Don’t pretend.”

Sanford rolled his eyes at Joan and shifted his look in disdain.

The son of b i t c h!

Joan’s smile froze. She always pretended to be on good terms with Sanford in public. Sanford never denied that, for he didn’t like talking.

But now Sanford didn’t hide his disgust when seeing her. Was it because of the last time?

A trace of anger flickered in Joan’s eyes.

When she had a baby with Alick, she would kick Sanford out of the Hill family.

The serv an t s of the Hill family were ready to let Joan pass. They didn’t dare to neglect

the future mistress.

Wait.

Joan turned around in confusion and met Sanford’s cold eyes.

“Does she have an invitation?”

The s e r v a n t s felt anxious. Bill did tell them not to allow anyone without an invitation in. But Joan was….

Joan understood what Sanford meant and tried her best to sound nice.

“Of course I do. But I forget to bring it with me. You can ask your father later on.”

Sanford didn’t believe her and said firmly, “No invitation, no entry.”

Joan gritted her teeth in anger. She wanted to teach Sanford a lesson if there weren’t so many people.

She ignored Sanford’s warning and walked to the gate.

“Stop her!

“Are you listening to me or her?”

The ser v a t s felt embarrassed. They obeyed Alick’s order.

They stopped Joan and hurriedly notified Alick.

“Sanford, do I have to call your father out before you let me in?” Seeing the s e rv a n t s. stop her, Joan lost her temper on the spot.

“He’ll scold you for sure.”

Sanford ignored her and asked the ser v a n t s inspecting the troupe to stop Joan. Abby and Ballard seized the chance and sneaked in.

Abby gave Sanford a thumbs up.

Her brother was amazing!

Alick went out and saw the scene where Joan was stopped at the gate and Sanford crossed his arms in front of his chest arrogantly.

What the fuss are you making?”

“Alick, there you are.” Joan put away her furious look and got close to Alick pitifully.

“Sanford didn’t let me in and asked the serva n t s to stop me. It was so embarrassing.”

Joan complained about Sanford in front of Alick. In her eyes, Alick invited her, and Sanford embarrassed his father.

She couldn’t wait to see Sanford get scolded.

“Is that so?”

Alick frowned. He felt his temples throbbing.

“So what?”

Sanford didn’t fear Alick’s questioning look and kept a straight face. “You said that no invitation meant no entry. I just asked them to strictly comply with your order.

“Any problem?

“Don’t you value the authority of your order?”

The se r v a n t kept silent and widened their eyes.

Sanford was so daring.

“Sanford, how can you say that to your father?” In front of Alick, Joan sounded tender even when she scolded Sanford.

She pretended to be considerate and sounded gentle.

“There are so many people watching. Apologize to your father as soon as possible, and I won’t be mad at you anymore.”

Seeing Alick’s face softened, Joan smiled more than happily. She was the future mistress. of the Hill family and was supposed to act considerately in public..

“Who are you?”

Sanford didn’t save her face and said arrogantly, “Why didn’t you interrupt us? Are we familiar with you?”

Joan blushed instantly in anger, but she had to endure the humiliation in front of Alick.

She pulled Alick’s sleeve, but Alick got rid of her.

Enough for the fuss!”

Alick didn’t get angry but stared at Sanford with a complicated look.

Sanford didn’t even look at Joan usually. Today he said so many words, something was not right.

“Hurry up and

get in.”

Sanford nodded and entered the house.

Sanford didn’t expect to block the wicked woman outside. He just did it so that Abby and Ballard could get in. But Sanford still felt relieved seeing Joan couldn’t get what she wanted.

But Joan was furious.

Why didn’t Alick scold Sanford?

Joan followed Alick when Bill suddenly stopped her.

“Ms. Taylor, Mr. Hill asked me to lead you to the lobby.”

Bill tried to sound firm, “Mr. Hill didn’t want to upset his father during the banquet. Ms. Taylor, you are smart enough to understand what I mean.”

Joan’s heart sunk when she met Bill’s smiling

eyes.

With her long nails pinched into her palms, Joan forced a smile and said, “Of course I do. Thank you, Mr. Wilson.”

Jonathan and Summer were chatting in the study.

Even knowing she didn’t die, Jonathan still felt incredible when Summer stood in front

of him.

He was afraid that it was only a dream.

“Jonathan.”

The familiar sound confirmed Jonathan in his guess. His eyes moistened.

“Summer.” Jonathan held Summer’s hand. “You’re finally back home.”
