Chapter 1
Chapter 1
When Becky Wood woke up, she felt a severe soreness throughout her body. Even her fingers felt weak.
She was all smiles as she recalled what had happened the previous night. Her heart was overflowing with subtle and tender feelings of sweetness.
It had been two years. Sigmund Moolery finally wanted her.
Becky had endured discomfort all night. She was still feeling uncomfortable at the moment. However, as she recalled how passionate Sigmund had been the previous night, her cheeks flushed again.
“So, he loves me, right?” she thought to herself.
The sound of the rushing water in the bathroom stopped. Upon hearing the sound of the door opening. Becky immediately closed her eyes shyly.
Feeling a shadow cast over her, Becky’s cheeks flushed a little.
The next moment, a warm and large hand suddenly gripped her neck.
Becky opened her eyes in shock and met the man’s cold and dark eyes.
Sigmund’s tone was cold as he said, “You’ve got the guts to climb into my bed, but you don’t have the guts to look at me, huh?”
His gaze toward her was utterly devoid of the affection that he used to show her in the past. Instead, it was so cold that he appeared to be looking at an enemy.
Becky turned pale. She hurriedly explained, “No, I’m not. I…”
“Becky, why are you so shameless?” Sigmund said coldly. “It is clearly stated in the contract that this marriage is in name only. You have violated the agreement.”
Becky clearly saw a flash of disgust in his eyes. A wave of intense pain surged through her heart in
an instant.
He said it was disgusting.
The passion the previous night was nothing but disgust in his eyes.

Becky pursed her lips and looked him in the eye, saying “You didn’t push me away. Wasn’t it a case
of mutual benefit then?”
Sigmund practically gritted his teeth as he said, “Do you still have any sense of shame?”
– He unintentionally tightened his grip on her neck.

Becky nearly choked. Sigmund immediately withdrew his hand and pushed her away forcefully.
While Becky was coughing, she caught a glimpse of Sigmund wiping his hand on the towel around his body. It was as if he had touched something dirty.
Her eyes momentarily turned teary. The sweetness in her heart vanished completely,
Becky lowered her head, concealing the tears welling up in truly didn’t mean to…

Sigmund did not even look at her. His face was cold as he ordered, “Put on your clothes and get out of here!”
Becky bit her lips, her legs trembling as she got off the bed, picked up the shirt with incomplete buttons, and put it on.
The pain in her whole body was intense but not half as painful as the piercing ache in her heart. After putting on her clothes, Becky turned her head and saw Sigmund sitting by the window.
With only a towel wrapped around his private parts, his well–defined chest exuded an overflowing sense of masculinity. The ambiguous scratches on it added a touch of desire and wildness to him.
His slender hand was holding a cigar. The smoke was swirling. His sharply defined face was tense. His well–defined brows were frowned tightly, which could clearly make people feel his displeasure.
As Becky looked at the face that had captivated her for two years, she felt a stronger sense of bitterness welling up in her nose. She said, “Um… I’ll leave then.”
“Wait,” Sigmund said, suddenly speaking up.
Becky’s clear and attractive eyes soon sparkled like stars. When she turned around, she could not help but smile.
However, Sigmund threw something over to her.
Becky quickly caught it. As she lowered her head and looked at it, the excitement in her eyes. dimmed again. The smile on her mouth instantly froze.
Emergency contraceptive pills.
Those three words felt like a heavy hammer pounding on her heart, shattering all her hopes bit by
bit.
Moreover, two pills were in the blister pack, but one had already been taken out.
In other words, he had it on hand, and someone had also taken it. She was the second person to do
Becky felt her heart being tightly gripped. Even her breath felt painful.
Chapter 1
Sigmund’s cold and stern gaze pierced through the smoke and landed on her. He commanded in a cold voice, “Swallow it.”
Becky tightly clutched the blister pack. The sharp edges pricked her, making her somewhat calmer.
When she spoke again, her voice was soft and hoarse. “I’ll take the pill,” she said. “Don’t worry.”
Sigmund insisted without room for refusal. “Now,” he said.
Becky understood.
He
was worried that she might pretend to comply and intentionally not take the pill when she went home, leading to her getting pregnant with his child and continuously pestering him.
In his eyes, she might be no different from any other woman who climbed into bed with him, or perhaps even worse.
Becky closed her eyes for a moment. She then deftly took out the other pill, swallowing it directly without hesitation.
Her throat felt tight. She looked straight into his eyes, saying, “Are you pleased now?”
Sigmund looked at her, his tone devoid of any emotion. “You violated the agreement,” he said. “This makes the agreement null and void. We will go for a divorce tomorrow.”
Becky gritted her teeth. She did not respond further. She was afraid that making a single sound would reveal her emotions.
He still called her name the previous night. Even amid wild passion, his voice was gentle and affectionate as he coaxed her.
Upon waking up, he said she was a woman with no sense of shame.
They were husband and wife. However, he wanted to divorce her merely because they had an
intimate encounter.
“And there’s another thing,” Sigmund said.
Sigmund exhaled a smoke ring from his thin lips. His low and hoarse voice was intoxicating yet. cold as he said, “Last night, I thought you were my first love when I was in Yanton. Her name is Betty Adams. Don’t misunderstand.”
Becky immediately turned around. She could not hold back her tears any longer.
Betty Adams. Betty.
It turned out that the person whom Sigmund called was not even her.
It was ironic that she naively believed that Sigmund willingly wanted to get intimate with her the previous night and that he had feelings for her.
Chapter 1
It turned out that she had been acting solely based on her own wishes. She showed Sigmund affection without considering if he genuinely had feelings for her.
Sigmund looked at the slender figure. His expression was somber.
The slender shoulders trembled, and above them were numerous ambiguous marks.
As Sigmund saw those traces, he felt even more fretful.
Becky was crying, but she did not make any sound.
Sigmund’s fair and slender hand stubbed out the cigarette he was holding. Then, he lowered his gaze to look at the two pills in his palm.
He thought to himself, “I didn’t forcibly feed her the pill, so why is she crying?
“Is she feeling aggrieved?
“If she feels aggrieved, why did she come last night?”
A long while later, Becky turned around. Apart from her slightly red eyes, her demeanor appeared
relaxed and carefree.
She smiled and said, “It was just an accident. I didn’t misunderstand anything. I was drunk last night. Don’t worry. Even if you didn’t bring it up, I’ll act like nothing has happened. I will be at the entrance of city hall at nine tomorrow morning sharp.”
Sigmund clenched his palms. His expression was solemn as he said, “Things had better turn out that way.
The corners of Becky’s lips curved upward. She smiled with a light–hearted demeanor.
As she walked out of the master bedroom and closed the door, a wave of nausea surged within her.
Becky immediately ran into the bathroom in the secondary bedroom and vomited.
A pill that got lodged in her throat was spat out.
After retching for a while, Becky’s eyelashes trembled slightly. Tears welled up in her eyes again.
