I glanced over at my wife nervously before gripping the steering wheel with one hand and reaching over for her with my other.

"Are you okay?" I asked, trying not to put my bad mood on her..today Gabriella was having an ultrasound. I had already been anxious enough about that all week before everything else was piled on last night. "B-baby, I'm g-great..I p-promise." She smiled at me reassuringly and I couldn't help but frown.

Then why did I feel so fucking horrible? Lasntight was going perfectly after all of that Kimberly shit was handled..and then the bidding started.

Gabriella and I were equally blown away by the bidding war that happened with Jolie..I gotta give it to Alder King..he knows how to make a statement. He obviously had an instant attraction for Jolie and I'm glad he won because Matteo Hernandez is a prick. I was going to have Gabriella bid on Jolie if Alder hadn't.

Then Rylan went up there and I laughed my ass off with all the old women who bid on him..Gabriella felt bad, so she made me bid on him too..which seemed to cheer Rylan up..even though I let Mrs. Fields who worked for one of the charities take the win.

Then Grant went up there..I wasn't surprised that a lot of women bid on him. What I was surprised by though was who fucking won..

Eva Monroe..the same Eva that I had just told Gabriella about. My stomach dropped when I saw her.

I instantly made eye contact with Ray, making him go on guard as Gabriella clapped her hands happily for her brother.

She didn't know who the woman was obviously..and that made it worse.

"Baby, I think we should call it a night." I whispered, wanting to get her out of there as soon as possible. I didn't know why Eva was here..and I didn't care to find out. "B-But the d-dance." She whispered, those big blue eyes peering up at me as I felt my heart practically burst.

Damn..why was she so hard to say no to..

"Fine, just one, then we leave okay?" I bargained, making my wife beam from ear to ear.

I led Gabriella out onto the dance floor. Those unwanted stares making me tense as I made it a point to glare at any man whose gaze lingered longer than necessary. Then we started to dance. My arm circled her waist, pulling her body flush against mine as I held her tightly.

"You look so beautiful tonight my love." I whispered against her ear, causing a shiver to tremble through her as I closed my eyes and got lost in the moment.

I knew Ray was hovering around, so I wasn't too worried. But when he called my name in urgency, that's when my eyes landed on Eva and Grant heading straight for us. Fuck..of course she would have the balls to approach us.

Eva had long brown hair that went to her mid back, her dress was a sparkly dark blue color and didn't leave much to the imagination. I couldn't even stand to look at her..I don't even know what I was thinking in the past..I just knew Gabriella is my whole world now and I don't even want to look back. But here she was, approaching me after all the crazy shit she put me through.

I couldn't even enter my old apartment without security because she kept breaking in..

It's been four years now since all of that..but still..it sticks with you.

"Gabriella, this is Eva Monroe, the woman who bid on me." Her brother suddenly stated, making Gabriella turn and look at the woman now standing in front of us.

I saw Gabriella smile before realization must've set in..because she quickly wrapped her arm around me and took a protective stance beside me.. it was actually pretty fucking adorable. When she looked up at me, wanting to confirm if it was the same woman, I just nodded once in response.

I couldn't help but stare down at my wife as she narrowed her eyes at Eva who stood across from us.

"Uhh..do you two already know one another?" Grant asked in confusion..and when he saw the way his sister glared at Eva, I noticed his eyes darken.

"Actually, Gabriella and I haven't met. But I do know Jamie..I just wanted to come and wish you both well with your recent marriage. Congratulations Jamie." Eva said in an overly sweet tone, her gray eyes snapping towards me as annoyance filled me.

Is she that fucking dense? I filed a damn restraining order on her in the past..it obviously wasn't still active..but what makes her think I would want anything to do with her now?

"If that's all you wanted to say..then we will be going. Come on baby." I stated cooly, my hand gripping my wife possessively as I began to guide her away from Eva. I don't trust her..not one fucking bit.

"I hope we can catch up together soon Jamie! Considering I moved back..Congratulations again..especially on the babies." She yelled from behind us, making me falter in my steps as Gabriella looked at me in confusion.

I just glanced towards Ray as anger began boiling inside of me.

"I want her followed."

"Yes sir."

Then Grant came striding up behind us before motioning towards the exit.

"Old friend of yours?" He asked discreetly as we stood outside of the bathroom waiting for Gabriella. Luckily my mom walked up and went in with her..because I was close to going in there myself..especially after that interaction.

"I used to have a restraining order against her..so not sure I would call her that.." I informed Grant, making surprise fill his face before glancing towards where Gabriella had disappeared a few minutes earlier. "You think she is going to be a problem?" Grant asked, making me nod once.

"We never announced Gabriella was pregnant with twins." I stated, causing his eyes to widen before he scoffed.

"She definitely was curious about Gabriella..asking all sorts of questions..but I just danced around them.." He informed me as that rage just grew more and more.

I hope this is all some kind of bluff..because the Jamie Sinclair back then is a lot different than the Jamie Sinclair now..I won't be giving second chances..not when it involves Gabriella and my children.

I glanced over at my wife, her bubbly mood and gorgeous outfit making me sigh as I couldn't help but lift her hand and place it against my mouth gently.

"I'm sorry..I promise I will be in a better mood. How can I not be with you by my side." I smiled against her flesh, inhaling her sweet scent as I placed another kiss on her knuckles.

"G-Good..because w-we finally get to s-see our b-babies today." She said excitedly and that was all I needed to forget everything else for now..

I pulled up to the hospital and quickly ran around the car to help her out. Ray was meeting with a few new potential bodyguards today and wasn't able to drive us. But I didn't mind..plus we were heading to my father's house afterwards to tell him how the appointment went. Apparently, he has something to share with us as well..whatever that could be..I have no clue..but Gabriella said she might have a hunch..she just won't tell me.

I guess we will find out soon enough.
