Chapter 47 –
(Cecelia)
I barged through the front door..it had to be past midnight now as I felt my heart hammering in my chest.
Fuck, he found out, he fucking knew I had something to do with it and now we are all in deep shit.
I am done..I don't know exactly what a man like Jamie Sinclair is capable of and there is no way I am sticking around to find out.
"What on earth are you doing home so late?!" My mother's shrill voice suddenly pierced through the room as I let out a shriek.
"J..Jamie..he..he found out..we need to hide..he knows mom..he knows." I began to sob, the look in my mother's eyes was filled with annoyance as she walked over and gripped my arm.
"Have you been getting high again? I told you not to use with that boy..only to give it to him." She hissed.
Mom knew Nolan had an addiction problem, it was something she read about from a charity that his mother donates to. She shared her own experiences with her son and the impact the program made on her family. Mom thought that if I got him using again he would be easier to manipulate..which was true..I just used on occasion, it makes the sex so much better.
"Stop! I'm not high..not anymore..Mom, Jamie is coming after us..we need to.."
Suddenly there was a loud bang from upstairs, making my eyes widen as I clung to my mother desperately.
"What was that? Is Katrina back from her trip already?" My mom asked while dragging me towards the stairs.
Katrina had gone to some Insta convention or something for the most viral users to get exposure...she wasn't due back for two days..
"I don't want to go up there..no mom!" I yelled out when my mom suddenly turned and slapped me hard across the face.
"Get ahold of yourself!" She yelled as I looked at her in shock.
"Samuel! Where is that man?" My mom yelled out for one of our security guards..in fact..now that I think about it, the gates were wide open when I got home..
I was too freaked out to even realize that..
I went to a bar after the Jamie incident and had a few drinks to try and calm my nerves before deciding to come home..what if he sent someone to the house?
My mom continued to drag me up the stairs when there was a strange knocking noise in one of the rooms..
"Mom, what if it's an intruder?" I rushed out, making my mom's eyes dart towards me before she nodded once and quickly went to Daddy's office where she went and grabbed a gun from the safe.
I could feel my heart pounding in my chest..the anticipation as to what was going on was killing me as the smell of bleach suddenly hit my nose.
"Do you smell that?" My mom asked before I could as I nodded yes.
Then we started walking down the hallways as my mom held the handgun steadily pointed forward as we followed the smell to her room. That's when I noticed the soft glow of the closet light illuminating across the floor.
"I didn't leave that on.." Mom grumbled as we stepped closer..then the loudest gasp escaped her making me almost jump straight out of my skin.
"W..what..who..who did this?!" She shrieked before running into the lit room as the strong smell of bleach burned my eyes and throat, making me cough.
Then I saw what she was looking at..every single item of clothing had been covered in the chemical..her designer shoes, bags, dresses..all of it ruined..
Then my mom screamed as she tore the items down..and I just started to back away..knowing exactly who had to be behind this..
"We have to go, mom..we have to leave!" I yelled, watching my mother sob hysterically as she gripped her precious designer clothes and couldn't believe her eyes. "That little bitch..she must've done this! She must've hired someone to pay me back for ruining her dress!" My mother concluded as she looked at me with wild eyes. "I am going to kill her!" My mom shouted, her hand gripping the gun once again as she turned on her heel and began walking out of the room.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Jamie's deep voice pierced through the room, making my heart stop as fear unlike any I had ever felt before rushed through me. "Who said that!?" My mom asked while whipping around and pointing the gun toward a dark corner of the room..
Then I saw the shadow of a man sitting in a chair..his body slowly leaning forward, revealing his sinister face as he looked toward us.
"Put the gun down, Regina. It won't be able to help you here." Jamie said cooly as my mom gripped it tighter with both hands as they trembled uncontrollably.
"What are you doing here?!" She asked, then without warning, the bedroom door slammed shut, making my eyes widen before running over and trying to pull it open.
"Let me out! Please!" I screamed, causing Jamie to chuckle darkly while standing and walking towards us.
"Just imagine being locked in a room, but not having the ability to cry for help..unable to beg for someone to save you...no..instead you have to wait in the darkness for hours..being punished for something you can't even control." My eyes widened as I glanced towards my mom.
"T..that wasn't us..that was my mother..she..she was always rough with her punishments." My mom rushed out, her hands still extended with the gun pointed at Jamie..he didn't even seem to notice..or maybe he didn't care..
The more I looked at Jamie Sinclair..the more like the devil he became..the look in his eyes was dark and full of evil as he stared straight into my soul.
"Oh, I know she came up with that one..and she is paying for it right now." Jamie informed us as I collapsed to the floor, my hands covering my face as I sobbed uncontrollably.
"But what you two did.. it goes even beyond that..doesn't it?" He asked my mother as she swallowed hard.
"She isn't as innocent as you think! How would you feel if you were forced to welcome your husband's daughter from an affair and have them live with you?! She was a daily reminder of.."
"She was only a child!! A small child who had just lost her mother.." Jamie yelled before saying the last part with raw emotion.
"How would you feel if your daughter had been stuck in a room with you for four days after you died..shall we find out?" He added with a sinister smile as I let out a gasp.
"Come any closer and I will shoot!" My mom snapped, making Jamie freeze for a moment before slipping his hands into his pockets and tilting his head towards her.
"It would be easy for you, wouldn't it? Perhaps a little too easy..but I'm sorry Regina..your life stopped being easy the moment you let Gabriella go to that party and I laid my eyes on her..in fact..life is about to become very, very hard for you." Jamie spoke quietly and suddenly the door flew open as I was grabbed from behind, making me scream in pure terror.
"Tie them to the chairs." Jamie ordered as he slowly began to unbutton the cuff of his shirt sleeve before rolling them up.
"What are you going to do to us?!" I sobbed, seeing my mom was now being held as well.
"I'm going to make you experience every single horrible thing you put my wife through since she was a small child."
"Oh, and to make it fair..I won't let you speak a single word either." He added as duct tape was forced over my mouth. I tried to break free, tears streaming down my cheeks and that's when I saw Jamie grab my mom's gun from the floor.
"Or should I just end it now? Make things easier?" He asked, his hand tilting the gun back and forth before walking over to my mom and holding the gun up to her head.
"No! mmm!" I cried out, my noises muffled as he pulled back the top before pressing the barrel to her forehead.
"Wouldn't death be the best option? Rather than be tortured just like my wife has been for most of her life?" He asked, his dark eyes peering into my mother before smiling wickedly and that's when he pulled the trigger, causing me to scream out as I closed my eyes in shock...but that loud bang never came..making me realize that the gun was empty...
"Sorry...I won't make it that easy for you..you two deserve every second of what I'm about to give you." He said lowly as I hung my head in defeat.
"Hand me the scissors."
