I slipped out of bed, my eyes gliding over Gabriella's beautiful naked body as happiness flooded through me. Things were finally settling down and I couldn't help but feel relieved. I know the shit with Eva is just getting started..especially with the way Grant took to Sammy so

fast..but even if he hadn't, no child deserves to be treated that way.

Eva Monroe doesn't even know what's about to hit her..and I can't fucking wait. She tried to break me and my family apart..those allegations could've ruined us. But luckily Gabriella and I will never be torn apart, no matter what.

I stepped forward, my hand reaching for her stomach as I gently rubbed the small bump beneath my palm. This woman has become my only purpose in life..and what she is about to gift me, it's something I never even thought possible.

I never knew this kind of love and happiness was real..and now with the twins..I feel so overwhelmed with how much I already care for them..how protective and excited I feel to see if they look like my beautiful wife..God I hope they do..I hope all of our children look just like their mother.

I let my gaze wander her newly curvy frame, the fact that we just had sex not stopping this lust that always seemed to consume me as I was about to crawl back into bed when my phone suddenly began to ring.

I quickly pulled the blanket over my wife and grabbed my phone, heading for the living room so I didn't wake her up.

"Did you get the email I sent?" I answered cooly, seeing it was my dad calling.

"Yeah, we are getting it all set up now. Dr. Stevens is sending over the examination reports."

We were getting ready to make our move. Eva seemed to be hitting rock bottom and I know what we are about to throw at her with will finish the job. My dad has already sent out a few emails, requesting a meeting with Sammy which she has completely ignored. "Do you think it will be enough? We have the counteroffer prepared correct?" I asked, knowing Eva is one greedy bitch.

"It will be enough, Son. And once she gives us what we need..then we will finally end this." My dad declared, making me let out a long sigh as I tried to hold onto that hope.

I hope to God that's true..because if she tries to hurt Gabriella again..I will kill her myself..I fucking swear. I'm done playing nice..

After my dad asked about Gabriella and how she was doing we eventually hung up and I had one more thing I wanted to handle..he better answer his fucking phone too..because I'm about done with this avoidance shit.

I hit Rylan's number, placing the phone back to my ear as I heard it start to ring...no answer..so..I tried again..and again..finally on the fourth fucking time he answered.

"Hey? Is everything good? Is Gabriella okay?" Rylan rushed out, making my jaw clench as I couldn't help but scoff.

"Is Gabriella okay? That's all you have to fucking say?" I grumbled, feeling annoyed by the fact that this annoyed me so much. This shouldn't be bothering me!

"Well..you called so many times..I thought something might've happened.."

"Where have you been Rylan? What the hell is going on?" I snapped, unable to hold back my frustrations.

I know I do this shit to Rylan..and I'm being a damn hypocrite right now. But he always answered on the first ring, I swear. He hasn't even been responding to Gabriella's texts like he used to. Which I guess I'm not too mad about..it's just weird.

"I've just been busy..okay. Nothing is going on." He retorted, making me even more suspicious because I knew for a fact he was lying. His voice always went higher when he was lying. And just now..it hit another fucking octave.

"Rylan..cut the bullshit. Have you been going to the club again or something? Is this about your mom? You're not drinking every night are you?" The concern flooded out of me..and I hated it..but the fact that I had to hear about all of this shit going on from Jolie..it made me frustrated. Rylan used to call me the moment any drama went down. Or at least send me a lengthy text..

"Wait..are you..worried about me?" Rylan suddenly asked, making me freeze as I realized I had been pacing.

"What? Worried..me? No..of course not." Wait..why was my voice going higher now?!

"You are..you totally are! I knew this day would come..I knew you would one day realize how much you love me..does Gabriella know?" Rylan teased.

"Rylan.." I warned, getting annoyed now.

"Fine..but you see how it feels now don't you..getting your calls sent straight to voicemail."

"So you did this shit just to teach me a lesson?" I asked flatly.

"No..that was just an added bonus.."

I swear I could picture Rylan's cocky smile he had to be wearing right now.

"Well..what the hell has been going on? Is Nolan okay?" That was another concern I had..but I thought since Jolie wasn't saying anything about it..that this probably wasn't because of Nolan.

"He is fine..actually, he is getting out next month..but no..this isn't about Nolan..it's, well..fuck..how do I say this." He grumbled to himself, making me blink my eyes rapidly, what the hell could it be? "So..remember that girl I met at the restaurant? The gorgeous Latina with the cutest laugh..and smile.."

"You mean the woman you were prepared to go into anaphylactic shock for?"

He was spiraling.

"Exactly, you remembered ..Well, she kinda..sorta..moved in with me." He finally blurted, making me freeze as I truly felt speechless for the first time in my damn life..well..with something that didn't involve Gabriella. "Moved in with you..the girl that you met at the restaurant barelly a week ago?" is he fucking insane?

"Well, I mean..it wasn't the first time we met..it turns out she used to know Jolie when we were kids.."

"Rylan..don't you think you are moving pretty fucking fast?" I said bluntly...shocked that he actually has the girl living with him..how did this even happen?

"I'm just going to pretend you didn't say that..considering you announced your fucking engagement to a girl you met thirty minutes after meeting her."

Yeah..I guess he has a point..but I had to get engaged..it was part of the contract..I was just lucky that I happened to find my soul mate that nignt.

"You know that's different..." I grumbled.

"Listen..it's not what you think okay? Something happened with her parents and she had nowhere else to go..it's not like we are shacking up and she is draining my bank accounts or something.." He explained and still I felt a little weary about this.

I saw the way Rylan was looking at that girl..I had never seen him like that. I mean..to that extent. Rylan has always been quick to fall hard and fast for a girl..so if she picks up on that..could this girl use it to her advantage?

"Rylan..how much do you really know about this girl?" I asked once again, knowing it was pissing him off, but it needed to be said.

"I trust her 100%..do you remember how supportive I was when you first introduced me to Gabriella?"

"I remember how much you flirted with her." I muttered.

"Can you please just humor me..Tilly is different..this..this is different."

"That's what you always say when you are sleeping with a girl." I laughed..it was true..Rylan always falls for the girl first.

"Well..we haven't slept together..so there."

Okay, that was surprising..

"Jamie..I'm serious though..this..this is different. I have never felt so protective over someone in my life..and when she smiles at me..I swear it's like the world stops. Every moment I'm with her, it goes beyond the sexual stuff..well..don't get me wrong..I've had a nonstop boner for the past wee.." "For fucks sake..I get it.." I blurted, not wanting to hear the rest of that.

"So..that's why I haven't been reaching out..I just knew you would be an ass about it..and also, I have kind of been distracted." He admitted sheepishly and I just looked towards the hallway aimlessly.

"Well, I guess I should meet the girl then..officially."

"Wait..what? No..you don't have to do that."

"Why? It's only right..I mean, you met Gabriella early on..In fact, we will be over there in an hour." I decided, knowing Gabriella was going to freak once I told her. I would try to go myself..but truthfully the mere thought of leaving Gabriella alone terrifies me. So we will both go. "Jamie..she isn't ready for that..you can't.."

"We will be there soon." I said before hanging up and dropping the phone to my side.

I know Rylan says the girl is different and he is taken by her..but I will be the judge of that..it's about time Rylan had a little taste of his own medicine..
