I brought the children to the revolving restaurant. It is one of the main

attractions of the hotel..

The kids‘ eyes grew large as they took in the glass walls and the sky view of the city.

“Are we on a big airplane, Daddy?” Mason asked,

“No, silly. We are inside Daddy’s hotel. Right, Daddy?” Riley said in response to his brother’s question,

“No name–calling, Riley,” I told him, and he immediately faced his brother to apologize,

The waitress approached us and handed us their menu.

“Good morning, Mr. Hunter and kids.”

“Oh, I am Riley,” Riley introduced himself

“And I am Biz..”

“He means Brizz.” Riley corrected his brother, and they nudged each other playfully.

“I am Mason.” My youngest chirped in.

“Nice to meet you, Riley, Brizz, and Mason. My name is Linda.” The waitress, Linda, quipped in a singsong voice that the three found funny,

“Hello, Linda. Do you have a boyfriend?” The waitress’s mouth parted.

A blush stained her cheeks while her eyes peered at me shyly,

Linda cleared her throat while shaking her head. “I don’t.”

Riley perked up. “Good. Cause I am going to introduce you to two of my uncles. I can’t introduce you to my two other uncles because one is married, and the other is crushing on our mom’s secretary,”

I tapped Riley’s arm with the tip of my index finger. “That’s too much information, son.”

“Oops. Sorry.” He said, clapping a hand to his mouth.

Riley stopped grilling Linda, and the three of them became distracted when I opened the menu and laid it in front of them.

“You can choose which one you like,” I told them since the list came with pictures.

Three little fingers started pointing at the pictures.

Thankfully, Linda was quick to get their orders.

When she left, I looked at the children. They seemed happy.

Mason put his hands to his back and stretched. “This place is cool, daddy. I get to see the sky.” He said.

I smiled. My son gat the concept of the restaurant. That is, to have a 360 view of the city’s skyline.

“Is your building actually moving daddy?” Asked Riley.

had to stifle a laugh at that. “No. The building is not moving, son. The floors in the restaurant are the ones moving, thus making it appear like the building is moving.” I explained.

Our orders arrived.

“Where’s Linda?” Riley craned his neck.

His eyes lit up when he saw Linda approached. Two walters came in ahead of her.

“Linda!” He waved his hands at her.

Linda smiled.

“Yes, Riley? Do you want anything else?”

Riley nodded. “I need your phone number. I’m giving it to my uncle. They can call you, and you can choose who you like to date.”

Linda looked at me for help. But I won’t be granting her little wish today.

“My boy wanted to play cupid with his uncle. Why not make his wish come. true?” I told her.

Linda forced a smile to her lips. She scribbled on her pad, tore the paper off, and handed it to Riley.

“That’s my number.”

Riley pocketed the paper and thanked her.

We started eating. Since it was near lunch, the restaurant was packed with tourists. The people smiled when they saw the children.

While the children were eating, I started interrogating them.

“Why did you leave home?” I asked.

“We don’t want another mommy or daddy. We only want you and Mommy.” Riley responded.

That one response filled me with remorse. I could not blame anyone except myself for what happened to my family.

It’s just one mistake – trusting the wrong person – but it had a domino effect.

I sighed and gently placed my cutlery back on my plate. “Boys, whatever happens, I will be your only daddy,” I promised.

“Swear?” Mason butted in.

I looked at the three innocent faces before me and nodded. “Swear.”

After eating, I was ready to invite the children to a tour of the hotel when Chris hurriedly approached me.

“Mr. Hunter, the receptionist said Ms. Ford is on her way.”
