She’s Married, Sir (Scarlett and Sebastian)

Chapter 177

Chapter 177

Lance's handsome face grew grim. "What do you mean?"

Susan glared at him but did not answer. She turned and ran away.

By the time Lance reacted, she was already gone.

Lance's face turned livid with anger as he kicked the car.

He wanted to vent his anger, so he kicked the iron plate, only to have his toe bone crack.

Carried by nurses and his assistant, Lance, so unlucky, was brought into the emergency room.

Upon hearing the nurse announce that Scarlett had awoken. Lanny grabbed the stethoscope and hurried to the VIP ward.

Lanny went forward to check Scarlett's physical condition and, upon finding no signs of infection at the back of her head, heaved a sigh of relief.

"Miss Sales, the back of your head has been operated on. We just need to monitor if it is infected. There shouldn't be any major issues, but...

Lammy paused for a moment and looked at Scarlett with some regret. "Your heart failure rate is getting faster and faster. I'm afraid you wont be able to hold on for long." Scarlett already knew about her physical condition, so she didn't care. "How much longer... can I live?"

Lanny slipped her hands into the pockets of her white lab coat and bowed her head to gaze at Scarlett's pallid face. In a hushed tone, she murmured, 'About a week." Had she not been so severely injured, she could have lived for two more months with the aid of special medications.

The nail had pierced through the back of her head, causing her heart failure to accelerate. Miraculously, she managed to survive another week.

Lanny gasped, recalling the scene of Scarlett being hurt on her head.

"Miss Sales, who get the nail into your head?"

Sebastian only sent a message to tell her that Susy, Scarlee, and he had hit Scarlett and asked Lanny to hurry up and save her.

However, he did not tell her who caused the injury on Scarlett.

Lanny guessed that the cause might be a group fight, yet she couldn't believe that Sebastian would be involved.

Not knowing the specific situation at that time, she could only ask Scarlett.

Sadness glimmered in Scarlett's eyes, her long eyelashes quickly drooping to conceal her feelings

She was silent, seemingly unwilling to speak, so Lanny didn't bring it up again. Turning around, she handed her a paper bag.

This is what you left in the mall. A nurse helped you get it back. I'll put it here."

After placing the paper bag on the bedside table, Lanny whispered to her, "Get some rest. If you don't feel well, just press the

bell"

She turned around and was about to leave when Scarlett stopped her. "Dr. Lanny....."

Lanny turned to look at her. "Hmm? Feeling unwell?"

Scarlett shook her head and looked at the paper bag on the bedside table. "There's a bottle of perfume in the bag... I got it for you

Lanny was taken aback for a moment. She followed her gaze and looked at the paper bag and then back at her. "You... went to the mall to get me perfume?"

Scarlett nodded, her expression gentle. I'm so grateful for all the medicine you gave me; I wanted to thank you..."

Lanny's shocked expression gradually softened into a touching emotion, her eyes misting over and leaving her momentarily speechless.

Standing rooted to the ground for a few moments, she then walked up to Scarlett and gently touched her pale lace with her fair hand

"Miss Sales, I'm sorry. If not for me, you wouldn't have met Susy. It was me who harmed you."

Scarlett couldn't see Lanny's expression clearly, but she could feel her apology. The corners of her lips curled up slightly. "It has nothing to do with you She overestimated her own abilities and wanted to give them a taste of their own medicine.

However, she had forgotten that being too small, she could not afford to offend their power. In exchange for this situation, she deserved it.

She deserved to offend those people, falling in love with someone she should not have.
