Chapter E L E V E N
It was nearing the end of my pregnancy and I was ready for this baby to be out. I couldn’t sleep properly, was grumpy and felt fat, although Callum always desired me, even after last week when I fell asleep seconds after we both came.
He took it light heartedly and as a compliment that he had loved his wife until she passed out. My parents were due to arrive tomorrow and I was excited to see them. They were staying in a guest cabin close by, but not too close to hinder Callum and I once the pup was here. We wanted to bond with the pup without a load of visitors, but knew that we would need to rest. I hoped to breast feed, but we had bottles, formula and a pump too.
I was emotional when my parents arrived and needed a lie down once everyone was settled in. I woke with a start, it was dark outside, Callum was asleep beside me. Iris was stirring but told me the pup was fine. I shook Callum awake, mind-linking him something was up, but didn’t know what.
There was a bang outside. Callum was up ready. I knew what was expected of me, I grabbed my phone and Callum escorted me to the safe room. He kissed me quickly before locking me in. I knew Callum would be mind-linking the Alpha, warriors, etc. I knew Callum was a great warrior, but I still worried, something was out there.
There was a CCTV feed in the room, so I switched it on to see if I could see anything. I didn’t want to link Callum and put him off. I could see Callum scouting out the house. There were a few more bangs and then a window smashing, that made me jump.
Something flashed passed one of the cameras, but I couldn’t make it out. Then I heard a familiar voice.
“I know you’re in here somewhere Elsie, I will find you mate. You are mine.”
It was Frank. How the hell did he get into the pack.
I could feel myself panic, Iris was pacing in my head too, but trying to keep me calm for the pup’s sake.
There was loud banging outside the room and I put my hand over my mouth to stop my scream.
Suddenly there was the sound of a gun shot going off, once, twice, three times. I could feel tears in my eyes. Who the hell was shooting.
“You fucking shot me you cunt,” I heard Callum’s voice over the monitor. More voices and shouting began, more banging and fighting. I had to sit down, I was beginning to panic now.
Just as I went to sit, I felt a gush and looked down. Shit my water’s have gone, this could not be happening.
I grabbed my phone and called Rory. “My waters have gone and I’m stuck in the safe room,” I cry out to my friend and sister.
“Shit, ok Elsie. Don’t worry, everything will be ok. The boys and the warriors are dealing with Frank, but you know that. I will advise the doctor and as soon as it’s clear he’ll be there. Remember, first labours can be a while, so just relax ok sis?”
I nod, forgetting she can’t see me. “Ye, yeah ok Rory. Stay on the phone please,” I beg.
“I won’t leave, Elsie. I here with you. Callum will be with you shortly.”
An hour passes and my contractors are getting regular and steady. First pup or not, he or she is not waiting. What could be taking so long.
I growl out, Rory knows things are happening fast. None us want to link our mates in case it causes issues, but the time for it is fast approaching. I need the doctor here, I don’t want to delivery my pup by myself, what if something is wrong.
“Rory, oh goddess I don’t know how much longer I can do this,” I cry down the phone.
She doesn’t answer me. “Rory,” I shout.
Suddenly I feel Callum in my head linking me. I’m on my way Elsie, hold on. I have the doctor with me.
I feel so relieved. The urge to push is getting strong and Iris is pacing in my head. Suddenly the door opens to reveal Callum and his brothers, with the doctor.
Let’s get Elsie on the bed Callum. Gentlemen, some towels if you please, the doctor orders the men. Callum picks me up gently, his brother’s rushing in with towels. Without anyone saying, they leave the room. Thankfully our room is mostly in one piece, just a little messed up.
The doctor places some of the towels under my bottom. He lifts my nighty to check how I’m progressing, causing Callum to growl. I grab his hand, causing him to look down at me. I can see he’s been flighting, there are a few cuts on his face.
“I’m fine my love, I’m already healed,” he comforts me.
We are interrupted by the doctor. “You’re ready to welcome this little pup into the word Elsie, with the next contraction push.”
I do as I’m told, with Callum holding my hand encouraging me, I push our pup into the world, lying back on the bed exhausted.
I hear my pup cry out, announcing their arrival. The baby is placed on my chest, while the doctor makes sure I am alright.
“Well mama, what do we have?” Callum asks. Helping me to look, Callum laughs “I’m going to have my work cut out for me hmmm…”
“A girl Callum, we have a little she-wolf,” I cry.
He leans down and kisses my lips, then our daughter’s forehead as she mews. The doctor let’s Callum cut the cord and checks over the pup, telling us her length and weight. She healthy and so am I, that’s all that matters.
Our little pup begins to fuss, her hungry little mouth rooting for my nipple. The doctor helps me get her latched on as she greedily starts suckling. My mate is sitting by my side just staring at us lovingly.
I interrupt his dreaming. “Daddy, you better let everyone know, share the good news.”
He huffs a little “They aren’t getting in here while you’re feeding though.”
I giggle at him as both the doctor and him leave. I hear the excited chatter downstairs and all the warriors and the Alpha heading away, saying they will meet the pup at a more suitable time. Callum links me if our mum’s can come up, which I agreed.
I introduce both grannies to their granddaughter. They have tears in their eyes. One I finish feeding, everyone else comes up to meet the pup. We haven’t chosen a name yet, but once we’re up and about tomorrow, we will make the announcement.

Daisy was fairly settled overnight, likely tired from her entrance to the world. How could my mate and I make something so tiny and beautiful? Elsie was still sleeping, she would wake soon as Daisy was beginning to get hungry, she had tried to get my nipple while I cuddled her to my naked chest. I’m not sure if she liked the hair on my chest either.
“That’s really sexy you know,” my mates husky voice whispered beside me, smiling up at me. I grinned back.
“She was beginning to stir, so I though some skin to skin with daddy would keep her settled to let you have a little longer.”
I’m just gonna use the bathroom first. She kissed my arm, before getting up. She still looked sexy in big knickers.
“Whow,” I heard through the bathroom door. “Holy shit,” the giggling.
I looked up from Daisy to my mate and my eyes about popped out of my head. My beautiful mate had a massive pair of breasts. Much bigger than last night.
“Another benefit of being a she-wolf, the milk comes in quicker,” she guffawed.
“You think,” I snorted. I couldn’t keep my eyes off them.
“Up here buster, these are your daughters for now,” she winked at me.
Daisy began to whimper and mew, so I handed her over to Elsie. After a few tries she got her latched on, wincing slightly at our daughter’s enthusiasm for breakfast.
Later that day everyone came over to properly meet Daisy and helped with tidying up the mess, thankfully not much. One broken window in the door, which our dad’s sorted quickly.
I updated Elsie on what happened with Frank. He had shot me, but thankfully, it was only a graze on my shoulder, which healed before the baby arrived. Needless to say that Frank was dead. Cameron had managed to grab him after I lead him away from the house.
His last words had been to beg the Alpha to put him out of his misery, as he tried to lunge at me, Cameron snapped his neck. I was glad it was all over. Elsie couldn’t forgive him for what he did to her, but I agreed, he didn’t deserve what her sister put him through. He was at piece now.
Over the next few months, we got settled into family life, Daisy was such a relaxed baby and Elsie took to motherhood easily. We were delighted that Rory and Guthrie announced they were expecting a pup not long after, it meant that Daisy would have a cousin close to her age to play with.
I was close to my brothers and hoped that Daisy would have siblings around too. The way that Elsie was looking at me, I had no doubt we would be adding to our family.
