Salute To The General

Chapter 431 Do You Dislike Me

Chapter 431 Do You Dislike Me

Suddenly, Nathan raised a leg and kicked Lucas in the knee.

Crack!

With a shiver-inducing noise, Lucas' kneecap instantly broke. The man wailed in pain and fell to his

knees.

But Nathan didn't stop. He walked right past Lucas.

Whoosh!

Another man dashed toward Nathan's gut.

Nathan raised an arm, grabbed onto his opponent's wrist and instantly snapped it.

"Arghh!" the man screamed and retreated.

Nathan carried on walking like a passerby on a rainy night, ignoring Lucas and his henchmen.

All he wanted was to head over to Mary; he would simply kick aside anyone who got in the way.

By the time he stood before Mary, Lucas and his gang were laying on the ground with broken limbs,

moaning in pain.

Mary turned crimson and her heart raced, as though she just had one too many drinks.

Nathan held the black umbrella over Mary's head, shielding her from the rain.

"You're just in time, Mr. Cross,” Mary said excitedly. "I would've been in danger otherwise."

"It's fine now. Let's go!"

Having noticed that Nathan came alone, Mary quickly persuaded him, "We can't just walk out of here

without a care. There are still many people searching for me. We're in trouble if they spot us."

Nathan gazed at Mary and asked blankly, "Why can't we walk outside without a care? Did you rob or

kill someone?"

Mary subconsciously shook her head.

"No."

"Did you commit a crime?"

"No."

"Then why can't we walk as we please? Let's go.”

Mary's eyes widened. She ran like a street rat all night and hid from Theodore's men.

At this very moment, she saw how resolute Nathan looked and gave him a firm nod. "Okay. I'll do as

you say!"

Just as the two walked out of the alley under the umbrella, eight SUVs showed up and about thirty

menacing-looking men got down. They had rushed over to back Lucas up.

Mary instantly tensed up and turned to Nathan. "Mr. Cross?"

"Don't mind them."

The moment his words fell, a Bentley and about a dozen vans arrived at the scene.

Out of the vans came nearly a hundred men, and in the lead was Thomas Dunn's right-hand man, Jack

Green.

Jack said furiously while holding a machete and bringing his large group of men with him, "Goddammit,

these Ocean bastards actually think Channing belongs to them. How dare you cause a stir and attack

Mr. Cross? Y'all must be tired of living.”

Then he roared, "Kill them!”

In a blink of an eye, Jack and his team charged toward Ocean Corporation's minions like a pack of

hungry wolves. A vicious battle ensued.

Thomas sat in the driver's seat after they entered the car. "Take Ms. Sharp back to her residence,"

Nathan instructed.

Thomas immediately drove off after finding out that Mary lived at the River Bay Luxury Villas.

The Bentley headed toward River Bay at a moderate pace.

With a large, bearded man in the driver's seat, Mary couldn't help but think about how soaked her dress

was. She was so embarrassed that she wanted to learn against Nathan. Coոtent of Drąмąոovеls.cоm

He noticed the woman shivering, so he quickly removed his coat and covered her with it. "Use this if

you're cold."

Mary was dismayed.Doesn't he have any idea how many men fall for my charms?

I may not be as pretty as Penny, but I'm certainly good-looking too, no?

This made Mary frustrated and disappointed.

She bit her lip and asked softly, "Do you dislike me, Mr. Cross?"
