Chapter 3156
Nathan and his men cheered on, full of fighting spirit.
Meanwhile, in Gishwick, Feston, the biggest city out of the five cities conquered by the werewolves, Raytor was staring solemnly at his fellow subjects atop his throne inside the presidential palace the Alpha Wolf had taken over. It was evident that a storm was brewing in his eyes.
His subjects included Shamans, priests, elders, the Gods of War of the werewolf clan, his fellow warriors, and much more.
Raytor was holding Nathan's letter to the challenge that was written in impeccable handwriting.
"Nathan Cross?" he asked coldly. "The Nathan who killed my son? He's here? How dare he challenge me to a fight to the death?" Nobody dared make a sound.
In the end, the High Priest of the werewolf clan spoke up. "Your Majesty, this Nathan is Eurasia's God of War, the man who killed your son. According to our sources, the humans have formed an alliance to attack us werewolves and vampires. Nathan is the Deputy Commander of this Alliance as well as the vanguard. He has come for us this time around. Specifically speaking, he's coming for you. Admiral Max told us we must hold the forte and, if possible, kill him."
Raytor's face darkened after his suspicion of Nathan being the man who killed his son was confirmed.
All of a sudden, he tightened his grip.
Whoosh!
Nathan's letter burned to ashes in his hands.
He scattered the ashes on the ground. "Very well. Nathan wants to challenge us to a fight. How many people has he brought?" he asked nonchalantly.
Hadis reported truthfully, "Nathan
and his men just arrived. As spies, we already have our eyes on them According to our sources, Nathan only brought a dozen men and a small troop of about a few hundred soldiers led by the Holy Maiden."
Raytor's face lit up upon hearing that. He couldn't help but ask, "Is that all the men Nathan brought? Did your informants miss out on anything?" Hadis smiled. "No! The undercover agents we placed among the humans and the news we received from the vampires reported the same thing." Raytor was confused. "Why is that?"
Hadis smiled. "The humans are probably scheming against each other. I heard that Wolfric, the commander-in-chief of the Hundred Nations Gods of War Alliance, has bad blood with Nathan. He put Nathan on the spot and forced him to attack us. Who would have thought that Nathan, that daredevil, would actually come for us? According to our sources, Nathan made a bet with Wolfric. Wolfric will have to give up the position of commander-in-chief to Nathan if he manages to take you down."
Raytor smirked. "I understand now. This is all because of the feud between those two. But Nathan has underestimated us werewolf clan. How could he come to war with such a small troop of soldiers?"
Hadis grinned and asked, "Your
Majesty, what should we do now?
Are you planning to gather the armies from all five cities and crush Nathan and his troop, or are you going to send an elite troop to wipe them out and have them bring back Nathan's head?"
Before Raytor could respond, a big, burly, hairy man covered in tattoos stepped up.
"I, Nessus, am willing to lead an elite troop to wipe those humans out, raze their base camp to the ground, and bring Nathan's head back to you."
Nessus was one of the renowned ten War Gods of the werewolf clan.
Raytor gave it some thought before agreeing to his proposal. "Okay, Nessus. You will lead a thousand wolf riders to war and bring Nathan's head back to me." Nessus smiled in response. "Thank you, Your Majesty. Please prepare the finest wine and wait for my return."
