Reclaiming My Broken Luna (Astrid and Killian)

Chapter 202: Confrontation of the Past

Astrid's POV

Giselle abruptly stopped in her tracks when she recognized me. Her face paled instantly as she stared at me like she had seen a ghost.

I held back the smile that threatened to appear on my face when I saw how she reacted to seeing me.

It's great that she fears me. That means she still remembers what she had done. Whether it haunted her or not, it doesn't matter. I have a plan to make her pay anyway. "Giselle, it's so nice to meet you," I spoke amicably as I carefully stood up and tenderly held the little boy's hand.

Giselle's eyes widened, and she suddenly acted hysterical. "Ryker! Ryker!" she shouted as she ran towards the little boy beside me.

She instantly gathered him into her hands and separated our hands before she walked backward, distancing me from the child like I was a threat to them.

I stilled, and my whole body tensed when I realized that the little boy that I was talking to was actually none other than Giselle's precious son.

I didn't know that I was already talking to Giselle's son.

"What are you doing to my son, Astrid? I know you hate me, but keep my son away from this!" Giselle yelled at me as she held her son tightly in her arms.

I swallowed hard as I held myself together and met Giselle's murderous gaze. How lucky is she that she could hold her son in her arms so tight while I didn't even have the chance to see what my son looked like? "Calm down, Giselle. I have done nothing to your son," I muttered coldly.

Astrid bent down and placed her son on the ground. "Ryker, are you alright? Is everything okay? Do you feel hurt somewhere?" Giselle asked her son worriedly as she searched her for any injuries.

I scoffed; it wasn't even that long before she arrived and took her son from me. Besides, I wouldn't dare to hurt her son in front of anybody.

Startled by how rough his mother was treating him, Ryker suddenly burst into tears.

"Ryker, Ryker," Giselle suddenly turned worried and upset when her son started crying, and then she turned her attention back to me again.

"What did you do to him?! I will never forgive you for harming my son!" Giselle yelled at me with anger burning in her eyes.

My heart turned cold when I heard her words. She's so angry at me just because she suspects that I harmed her son while she took my child away before he was even born.

Can't she even imagine what I'm feeling right now?

"You! How dare an outsider like you yell at her?!" Daphne suddenly stepped forward to defend me.

Giselle's gaze snapped at Daphne. "I am the Luna of the Silvermoon Pack and my son is the future Alpha of our Pack. If something bad happens to him, the Silvermoon Pack will never let this go." Daphne scoffed. "You are just a Luna of a small Pack and yet you dare to threaten us!"

Giselle scoffed back, not taking Daphne's words seriously. "A small Pack?" Giselle slowly stood back up as she stared at Daphne with her eyes narrowed into slits.

"It's true, Shadowfang Pack is a

huge and powerful Pack, but you two are just Pack members. Do you really think that your Alpha would a risk a war after you harmed a future Alpha? As mere Pack members, your Alpha won't surely bother for the two of you."

Daphne clenched her fists when she heard Giselle's ignorant words. "That might be the case for me, but it wouldn't be the same for Miss Astrid. After all, she is—"

I grabbed Daphne's hand to stop her before she could say anything more that she shouldn't say.

This is not the right time yet. Tomorrow, they shall know.

Daphne glanced at me with her brows furrowed in confusion, wondering why I stopped her and allowed Giselle to step on me inside my own territory.

"Ah yes! Of course! I almost forgot. It would surely be different for Astrid because she's your Alpha's plaything," Giselle answered smugly with a pleased look on her face. "What did you say?!" Giselle demanded as she stepped forward.

I tightened my hold around her arm before she got out of control.

"Come on, don't bother to hide it. Everyone knows, it's an information that has been going around already many years ago," Giselle shot back arrogantly. "Astrid is a whore. She cheated on her husband, and after they divorced she instantly jumped on a more powerful man after she wasn't contented with Drystan."

"You! Are you seeking your own death?! If so, let me take it right now." Daphne is a trained warrior, and I have even trained myself.

Sensing the anger that is radiating

off her, she would never hesitate to kill. As her trainer, I know her level of skills. I'm afraid that Daphne could kill Giselle before she even blinks her eyes.

It would be such a pity if Giselle died so easily. Besides, if Daphne really killed someone, and a Luna at that, she might lose her own life. "What's going on here?!" A loud baritone voice sounded from afar, stopping Daphne in her tracks before she could make her attack.

All eyes turned to where the voice came from. My body froze when I saw the person approaching us.
