KYLE'S POV

The party was going good and I was so happy. Lyra smiled at me in a grateful manner and I already planned another surprise for the evening.

I called Aria to make sure everything was set and she told me that it was all ready, so I walked to Lyra and told her, "Come with me. I have a surprise for you," her eyes lit up.

"Really, what is it?" she as for the tenth time as we walked in the small part towards a lake to the most beautiful view I had ever seen.

"Ha," Lyra gasped as we reached the lake. "Oh, my. It is so beautiful," she smiled at me.

"I know, I wanted to enjoy this view with you and have a private dinner with you." I said to her as I held her hand.

"Lyra, you are the best thing that has happened to me and when you were in that hospital bed, I experienced the was time of my life and the thought that you may not wake up tormented me because I had a lot of things to tell you that I didn't and I wondered if I ever will." I said looking into her eyes.

"I love you Lyra, I have always loved you and you are the only woman that lives rent free in my head. I know I want to spend the rest of my life with you and I would be willing to mate you now but I don't know how you will feel about that, so instead of that I will ask you. Will you be my girlfriend?" I rushed out in one breath suddenly feeling unsure as I looked into her beautiful eyes that was already tearing up.

"Of course, Kyle, I will be your girlfriend," she said and hugged me and I felt relief wash over me.

We spent the rest of the evening talking about ourselves and our plans for the pack. Then we had a mind blowing make out session that was interrupted my Aria again. Honestly, I feel that Aria has something against me because she really had the ability for showing up at the wrong time. I honestly feel she is doing all on purpose. LYRA'S POV

That night I was all smiles as I relaxed in my room with Aria and Merida. I told them abut how Kyle asked me out as I was full of blushes.

"I am so happy for you and I have known for a very long time that Kyle has had the hots for you. It's really good to see everything come together like this," Aria smiled. "Yes, although I feel someone here is a cock blocker," Merida raised her brow at Aria and we all laughed.

"Really it is not intentional. I don't know but always come at the wrong time and most of the time it is when their tongues are stuck in each other's throats," Aria said and I flushed instantly. "You don't have to say it like that. you are too vulgar," I said as my face turned beet red.

Like things couldn't get more embarrassing, Kyle walked in laughing showing that he had heard the last thing we said.

"Hi ladies," he smiled at us with a knowing smile.

"Hi Kyle. Have you come to whisk our friend away?" Aria asked.

"Yes, I have, but I couldn't help but over hear the last bit of information that you guys were talking about. It is funny and at the same time it isn't." Kyle said looking at Aria.

"What is the problem?" Aria asked laughing and acting all clueless.

"You always seem to show up at the wrong time like a prying mother," Kyle said accusingly at Aria.

"It isn't always intentional. Okay maybe sometimes were intentional. But I can assure you that I know you mean well for Lyra and no, I am not trying to be a cock blocker." She laughed.

"Aria! Please stop!" I said as I blushed hard and Kyle held my hand causing me to feel tingles all over.

"Alright sweet heart, let's leave now before Aria finds a way to follow us," Kyle joked.

"Okay then. Let's go," I smiled at him.

"I really don't understand, so you like wild berries because in a way they make you feel like you have worked to get them and eating the wrong one will prove to be poisonous and you could end up in the hospital or losing your life?" I asked to be sure I heard what he said.

"Yes," he laughed showing me his perfect set of teeth.

"You are a psychopath you know that?" I said.

"Only for you, baby," he said his voice dangerously low as his eyes found mine and I suddenly felt hot.

He moved to kiss me and Kiera appeared from nowhere like she had planned to show up at that moment in time.

"Hi my favorite couple!" she said in a very loud manner.

I didn't know what it was but I really didn't like her. something about her was just to fake. I don't know if it was the fake happiness and jolly behavior but it didn't sit well with me. It was like she borrowed another person's personality and there was something dark brewing in her mind.

And again, it could have just been jealousy that I refused to admit.

"Hi,” I and Kyle echoed and Kyle sounded annoyed that he had been interrupted.

She moved to hold Kyle's other hand and dragged us to continue walking with her.

"Kiera, can we do this another time? I and Lyra were having an alone time," Kyle said trying to be polite.

"Oh, um. I am sorry about that. I didn't know." She said in an awkward manner that revealed that she was seriously trying to third wheel.

I don't know what it was about her that I seriously dislike but I could not stand her.

I was about to say something when Kyle pinched the inner corner of my hand like he knew what I was about to say.
