Reborn Academy

I’ve always wondered what vampire’s bite felt like. The books I read and shows I have seen, they all say it’s a rush. Like your on top of the world high. I was elevated right then after that small bite to my neck. My eyes gaze over as everything becomes fuzzy. I heard Daniel call my name turning my head towards the voice. I can see his figure through the haze.

“Daniel,” I whispered out.

I felt the fight before hearing grunts and punches thrown at each other. I felt hands helping me into a sitting position on the fridge. Bambi voice came through my ears as I look up into her eyes.

“Anglia. You’ve been bitten!” She disappeard from infront of me.

I start focusing on clearing my vision and the high. It took a second but everything starts clearing, blinking the rest of the haze away. The first thing I saw was Daniel being push up aganist the wall by one of the vampires. Then Sasha and Bambi was double teaming the other vampire. I got up from the floor running over to help Daniel, grabbing the vampire from on top of him before he could sink his teeth into his neck. He push me into the wall in a quick motion banging my head into the wall. Since the endorphine was still in me I didn’t feel anything. Grabbing his arms I twist them before sliding my legs under him triping him. We both fell to the floor me on top.

“Daniel!” I yell for him.

He came out of nowhere with the biggest knife in the kitchen, cutting off his neck. The vampire’s body goes still under me. Daniel helped me up hugging me to him in a quick hug. He pushed away from me before turning to help Bambi and Sasha. Bambi was trying to restrain the huge vampire as Sasha tried looking him in the eye.

“Help restrained him!” Sasha yelled at Daniel.

Daniel helped Bambi keep the vampire at bay. I watch as Sasha tried to compel the vampire. It took a minute but she in up compelling him. She made him sit down in a chair as Bambi goes to search for things to tie him up with. In ten minutes, we had him tie up with everything in the house. Just in case Sasha loses her hold on him, it will be easier to kill him before he can get himself lose. We all stood in front of the vampire looking down at him.

“I thought vampires can’t be compeled?” Daniel question.

“They can’t.” Bambi said.

“Start asking him questions. I don’t know how long I can hold this.” Sasha told us.

“Who do you work for?” Bambi asks.

We all turn to look at her with an eyebrow raised.

“They always ask that in movies.” She said with a shrug.

“Tatrous Askin and Haven Askin.” The vampire said monotone.

“Haven who’s headmistress at Reborn Academy?” I ask him.

“Yeah, that’s her cover to search for strong hampires to bring back to Tatrous.” He told us.

“Who’s Tatrous and what is his plans?” Daniel asked him.

“One of the most powerful vampires in the world. Taking the potentially strong hampire’s in, he could make them full vampires and make his empire. You kids were the people his eyes were on. Strong, Powerful, and Different from other hampires. Especially you Anglia.”

“What does he want with me?” I ask him.

“Doesn’t know yet.” He told me with a shrug.

“What do you guys do for him?” Bambi asks him.

“What every he tells us to do.” He said pulling on the restraints.

“I’m losing him, you guys have one more question.” Sasha warned us.

“Where can we find Tatrous?” I ask him.

“I can’t give the… exact location, but it’s near… the academy.” You can tell that Sasha was losing him at how hard that sentence came from his mouth.

“Daniel!” Sasha yelled right when the vampire got to lose from her control.

Daniel was quick to swipe the big knife over his head, cutting his head off. Sasha sways on her feet. Bambi caught her before she could fall. I bet holding him, for as long as she did wear her down. I grab a chair putting it under Sasha, so she could sit down. I went to go grab a bottle of water from the fridge tossing it to Bambi.

“We need to get them burn.” Daniel said picking up the bodies.

I lead him to the back doors towards the burn barrel we keep. Daniel throws them in as I pour gasoline over them and a match to light up a fire. We stood and watch over it for a few minutes.

“Thanks for saving me.” He said to me.

“I should thank you as well. I was about to be lunch.” I turn to stand in front of him.

“He wasn’t going to drink your blood; he was actually spitting it out.” Daniel told me.

“What?”

“He acted like your blood taste like grape medication.”

“Huh, that’s insulting. Wonder why he couldn’t drink my blood.”

“What happen to the bite mark? It was there earlier.” He asks running a finger over my neck.

I look up into his eyes lock on my neck. I reach up moving his hand to feel on my neck. The bite mark was gone not even a trace of blood to confirm it was there. I reach behind the back of my head not feeling the dried-up blood that should be there. I look up to Daniel in shock.

“It wasn’t me then if it was still there when I saved you. I cleared the haze and high from the bite, but the bite didn’t heal. Nobody else touched me except you when you hug me.”

“You can’t mean…”

“That your secret magic power is healing.” I told him.

“It can’t be.”

I reach over to the fire sticking my hand in it. Before it could burn Daniel pull me away from the barrel. He grab my partially burn hand healing it in a flash. We both look down at my hand in astonishment. I move my fingers and wrist showing it to Daniel.

“Holy shit!” He said.

“Hey guys! Sasha is feeling better.” Bambi yelled to us from the door.

“We need to get out of here, and I need to call my mother.” I walk back towards the house.

“I guess I’ll go see if I can help Sasha.” Daniel said going off to help Sasha.

I went to go find the home phone from the living room. Finding her number saved in the phone pressing the call button. It rings for about a minute before she picks up.

“Mom!” I said over the phone.

“Anglia?” Her voice asks over the phone in shock.

“Don’t come home, well meet you at the lounge.” I told her.

“What’s going own Anglia? Why aren’t you at the academy?” She asked.

“I’ll tell you all of that later. The real question is, were you at?”

“At a friend. Anglia what is going own?” She asks again.

“You will know when you meet me at the lodge, Bye mom!” I told her before hanging up.

“So, where we going next?” Bambi asked behind me.

I turn to looking at her “Alaska!”
