Chapter 13: " Just... How"
Mr. Hall and I were putting the stuff dummies back in the gym closet. Today he taught me how to stake a vampire in the heart. Which is one of the ways to kill them? There’s actually only a couple of ways to really kill a vampire. Burning them until all you see is bones, cutting them to a million pieces, and stabbing them in the heart.
“What you think is wrong with me?” I ask him.
“I don’t know Anglia. I don’t know.” He said shutting the door to the closet.
I watch him carefully as a deja vu wash over me. I just couldn’t pick the memory up. I nod walking over to pick up my bag from the floor. He followed after me his hands in his pocket.
“Well I better get going I need to stop by the library before meeting a friend. I’ll see you tomorrow.” I told him with a small wave.
“Yeah, see you tomorrow.” He said with a small wave.
I gave him a small nod before turning away from him. I throw my bag on my shoulders making my way out. Mr. Hall calls my name when I was about to step out.
“Yeah?” I ask turning to look at him.
“Be careful and if you every need help come to me. Ok!” He looks me straight in the eye.
“I will,” I told him before leaving.
I search through the library for any books that’ll give me any information about my problem. Well, technologically it’s really not a problem but I still need to learn about it. I’ve searched this whole library and found nothing about it. I did pick up some books that mention magic and hampires. I sighed in defeat making my way to the front of the library.
“Hey!” Someone called from the side.
I look over to see Daniel walking over to me. I stop in my tracks turning to face him with a small smile.
“Why are you always in the library?” I ask him when he got close enough.
“Nice place to go.” He said stopping in front of me.
“Yeah, I’m meeting with Bambi today. It’s true you know.” I told him.
He shook his head looking down to the floor. I step closer to him pushing him in a vacant aisle.
“Something is most likely to go down sooner or later so be careful around Sasha,” I whispered to him.
“What you don’t want me to get hurt?” He asks looking down at me with a smirk.
“Of course not, nobody should be getting hurt if all of this was because me,” I told him.
“Bookworm you won’t be going through this alone. If I get hurt I get hurt.” He told me with a shrug.
“That name suit you more than it does me.”
“No, it doesn’t.”
We look at each other with a smile. I raise my eyebrows as I move closer to him. He watched me a smirk forming on his face. When I got inches from his face I stop.
“I’m I right or wrong?” I ask him softly.
“Your..”
I smile giving him a pat on the chest before walking away.
Bambi was waiting in the lobby for me. I smiled at her as I motion her to follow me to my room. I open the door shutting it after her. I flop on the bed as she took a seat in my desk chair.
“I’m just now noticing this.” She said rolling to face me in her chair “What happen? You have no marks on you like the rest of us. If it was four on one and I was cheating by using my magic. Why are we bruised up and your not?”
“What is that suppose to mean?” I ask her with a raised eyebrow.
She laughed lightly at my reaction “Not that I think you should be in the hospital. Just…How?”
I toss her one of the books I pick up in the library before coming here. She caught it easily looking down at the cover. I open the one I got flipping through it.
“I don’t know how? Still working own finding that out, but this is more important.” I told her.
“Not really. You might have something that could be of value to you. Like my ability to use the wind in my favor. If I haven’t discovered it when I was a kid I wouldn’t have been able to control it. I don’t know what’s up with you, but you should find out sooner rather than later.”
I know she’s right about that. I do need to get to the bottom of what’s going on with me. I also need to get to the bottom of what’s going on at this school. I’m going to have to go back to the people that made me….. My parents.
