Chapter 10: "What the hell is going..."
I took off my shirt finding nothing on my arms or stomach. I’ve been kicked their numerous times, feeling the blow. Not a bruise showing that even happen. I change slowly as my mind start spinning. I felt everything they gave me even the strange wind that seems to help them out. I have a feeling that wind came just out of nowhere. The way I see it, I was the only one taking it.
“I’m just imagining things,” I told myself walking out my room.
I made my way down the stairs over to Mr. Hall. He was talking on the phone and when he saw me coming he hung up quickly after that. He gave me a small smile putting his phone in his pocket.
“I need some food can we please stop and get something in my stomach?” I ask him.
“I guess we can grab a bite in the cafeteria. I’m guessing you’ll need an energy boost from fighting off those girls.” He said as we walk out the building.
“You don’t know them?” I ask to astonish by that.
“No. Should I?”
“I don’t know! They’ve been here their whole life.”
“I’ve been here for about fifteen years now, and that’s my first time seeing those girls.”
Now that caught my attention real quick. For Mr. Hall to be here most of their life here at the Academy, you would think he’ll know them. I don’t know what’s going on with that, but I’m going to find out.
The lunch ladies were kind enough to let us eat. I ate all the food I could fit in my stomach plus three water bottles. I made small chat with the cooks while they clean.
“I’m sorry to interrupt, but I better get you to Headmistress Haven’s office. I’m sure she should be done speaking with the other girls by now.” Mr. Hall said after coming back from throwing our plates away.
“Ok. Thanks for letting me eat. You save me from my abusive stomach.” I said to the ladies before following him out the door.
I thank Mr.Hall for looking after me and that’ll see him on Monday. I walk into Haven office finding her making a cup of tea. She looks agitated or frustrated by something. I knock on the door lightly so I wouldn’t scare her.
“I was wondering where you were at. Come own in.” She said going over to sit behind her desk.
I took the seat in front of her desk. I waited patiently letting her take a sip of her tea. She sat the cup down before looking up at me.
“I thought I told you I didn’t want to see you in my office again?” She asks me.
“You did! I tried my best to stay away from here, but I was taught to defend myself.” I told her with a shrug of my shoulders.
“Yes, I can see that. When I spoke with the rest of the girls before hand….They look pretty beaten.” She told me.
“I notice that,” I told her with a small smile.
“Yet you don’t show any bruises or cuts. How is that Anglia?”
I shrug my shoulders for I’m confused as well.
“Huh, Well I’ll let you off with a warning since it’s your first time.” She told me grabbing a paper from a file.
“Sigh own the bottom stating that you are aware of your first warning.” She hands me a paper and pen.
I sign the paper after reading it over. She let me go after staring at me for a few minutes before dismissing me. I walk out her office even more confused.
I decide to go in search for Daniel. The first place I thought of was the library. I search the library until I found him at the back sitting at a table. I grab the seat next to him.
“Why did you had to go beat up Sasha and her friends?” Daniel asks right away glancing over at me.
“They attack me first, besides how long have you gone to this school?” I ask him.
“Forever, Why aren’t you beaten up. It was a four on one and they looked bad.”
“I don’t know it’s something else I have to figure out also. How long have Bambi, Sasha, and the two bimbos have been here?”
“Forever.” he said looking back down at his book.
“Are you sure?” I ask him putting a hand on his shoulder.
He turns his head to me catching my eyes. He thought about it for a second before answering me.
“No, Bambi and Sasha came in about five years ago.” He said.
It looks like it took him a minute for him to remember that. I can also tell it took him some effort to say that. I study him for a second. His eyes bore into me studying my face.
“How did you meet Sasha?” I ask him.
“I think a few months after she came in. We somehow end up in a classroom together. The next thing I know we became best friends. Then decide to date two years later.”
I move closer to him “Do you even like her?”.
I can see him fighting with something inside him. He tried to look away from me, but I reach my hand to his face to keep him from turning.
“No. I don’t!”
He’s being compelled by something Sasha did. It has to be a mind control or love compulsion. Wait, what I’m I saying Sasha can’t have that power. I never did think vampires ever exist so anything is possible.
“I can’t believe I’m doing this, but kiss me, Daniel,” I told him.
He didn’t even hesitate to oblige to my request. His hands fly up to my face pulling me to him. It took me a lot more time to react before I got into it. My hands go through his hair messing it up. We broke away from each other when we needed to breathe.
“You know you and Sasha are going out?” I ask him.
“What the hell is going on in this school?” He asks me.
