Chapter 95
Chapter 95 Are You A Fool
Eileen’s mesmerizing eyes, sparkling like rippling water, gazed at the person before her who was laughing wildly and reveling in
her misfortune. “You scoundrel! Do you find it amusing. to play pranks on others?” Eileen held her twisted ankle, tears welling up
from the pain.
Elm leaned slightly forward, his narrow eyes gleaming with amusement as he focused on her. “Why wouldn’t it be fun? Eileen...
you truly deserve it!”
Encountering Elm here was an unexpected surprise for Eileen. In her opinion, his background didn’t justify his presence in such
a place.
Every time I run into him, nothing good ever happens.
Eileen felt unbearable pain throughout her body. She staggered up from the ground, brushing off the dirt on her skirt. Fortunately,
she wore a black skirt, so it didn’t show much. “I must be unlucky to run into you,” she mumbled.
Without engaging in further argument, Eileen prepared to leave.
Suddenly, Elm’s impatient voice echoed from behind, “Hey!”
Limping with an odd posture, Eileen didn’t turn back despite Elm calling out to her, her injured ankle drawing his attention.
“There’s no way forward from here. Where are you planning to go?”
Eileen gradually slowed her pace, realizing she had taken the wrong path. No wonder the way ahead was completely shrouded
in darkness, and she hadn’t seen a single person pass by.
Given her stubborn nature, if it weren’t for Elm’s unexpected appearance, Eileen might have. persisted down the incorrect path,
choosing to continue despite knowing it was a mistake. rather than turning back.
Quickly turning around, her gaze cold and indifferent, Eileen didn’t spare him a glance as she walked along the small path paved
with stone bricks, each piece following the other.
She maintained a stoic silence, not uttering a word to Elm. As she was about to pass him. Eileen suddenly noticed movement
from the person beside her. In the next moment, she was effortlessly lifted into the air, hoisted up by his single hand. Before she
could react, Eileen found herself lying sideways on his shoulder.
“What are you doing! Put me down! Elm!” Eileen exclaimed, feeling dizzy as she hit his back.
The light still illuminated the third floor, where a man stood tall by the floor-to-ceiling window. His demeanor exuded nobility, his
speech refined. However, his eyes held an

indescribable coldness. “If you agree to cooperate with me, then... it would be more than perfect. Name your price, whatever you
want.”
Jacqueline exclaimed, “Richie, if you want that project, I can hand it over to you. I don’t need a penny from you. I’m your mother,
after all.”
Jasper casually brushed off her words and replied, “Mrs. Friedman, it seems you’ve forgotten. that this project was agreed upon
by the Smith family three years ago. If it weren’t for your husband’s underhanded tactics to snatch the project contract, I wouldn’t
have had to personally come here today. Considering our past relationship, I’m willing to split the project. fifty-fifty. This is the
most significant concession I can make.”
Jacqueline looked heartbroken as she gazed at the son she had carried for months and given birth to. Unexpectedly, he was so
cold towards her, and every word he uttered cut into her heart. “Richie, do you really have to speak to your mother like this?”
“Fine... Even if you don’t acknowledge me as your mother, what about Yvie? You’ve been her favorite person since she was
little,” Jacqueline continued.
Jasper observed the figures disappear into the darkness, a slight frown creasing his brow. Tve said all that needs to be said. I
hope you will give it some thought, Mrs. Friedman. Now, if you’ll excuse me.”
“Richie!”
Jasper paid no heed to the woman calling out to him. After all, he was representing the Smith family, and his purpose was to
safeguard the reputation of his family, not to reunite with his mother.
If that piece of land lacked value, Jasper wouldn’t have bothered coming here. He was at businessman, and his gaze was fixed
solely on profit. Additionally, the property originally belonged to him.
Exiting the study, Jasper was met by a young girl who had been leaning against the wall, counting ants. Suddenly, she stood up,
gazing at the handsome and dashing man before her and obediently calling out, “Jasper!”
Standing upright, she felt a nervousness in his presence that surpassed the anxiety she experienced when encountering the
person she liked.
Jasper paid no heed to her and directly reached out to take the coat handed over by Fabian. He draped it over his arm and
headed straight for the stairs to leave.
The girl’s eyes revealed a hint of disappointment, as she didn’t even receive a glance from him, not even a simple birthday wish.
Despite sharing the same mother, she wondered why her half-brother seemed to dislike her.

Walking along the corridor behind his boss, Fabian inquired, “How did it go, Mr. Smith?”
“Have the legal department prepare a contract, granting Friedman Group fifty percent of the profits, Smith Corporation will have
full responsibility for this project, and no one from Friedman Group is allowed to interfere.”
Fabian nodded slightly. “Understood, sir.”
Jasper descended from the upstairs, and a guest holding a glass of wine intended to step. forward and offer a toast. However, to
their surprise, Jasper simply walked past them at the doorway.
At the doorway, Jasper had a thought and instructed Fabian, “Tell the Friedmans’ housekeeper to prepare medicine for sprains
and bruises and take it to the backyard.”
“All right,” Fabian replied, though he didn’t know what had happened. Before leaving, he had the housekeeper take something to
the backyard.
The atmosphere at the swimming pool was lively with music.
Suddenly, Charlie noticed a familiar figure approaching from a short distance away. He rubbed his eyes to get a clearer look. Isn’t
that Elm over there? And he’s carrying a woman on his shoulders?
Charlie was surprised, thinking, Wow, they start engaging in such flashy activities as soon as they grow up? No way he’s losing
his virginity that quickly!
Upon hearing Eileen’s voice, Charlie was even more shocked, exclaiming. “Holy sh*t!”
Elm tossed Eileen directly onto the chair, saying. “D”mn, you’re as heavy as a pig. Can’t you cat a little less?”
“It’s not like I’m eating your food!” Eileen retorted before she could stop herself.
Suddenly, a wave of nausea washed over her, causing her to abruptly turn over. With a retching sound, everything she had eaten
that day came spewing out, accompanied by a sour, bitter bile. Not feeling particularly hungry when she arrived, she had skipped
dinner. As she vomited, Eileen felt a painful cramp in her stomach.
“Oh! Eileen, you vomited on me? I’m going to kill you for this!” Charlie exclaimed.
Charlie shut his eyes, fearing he might vomit on the spot if he continued to look..
It’s repulsive, absolutely disgusting.
Elm watched until Eileen finished vomiting, then grabbed her by the back of her neck, lifting her up with a look of disdain in his
eyes.

“Why are you still sitting there? Go away! Your presence is making me sick,” he scolded Charlie.
Charlie, infuriated and speechless, retorted, “You’re blaming me?”
“Go away!”
Charlie hurriedly went to clean up.
At that moment, a housekeeper approached, holding medicine. “Miss, may I ask if you are the one who needs the medicine?”
Having just vomited, Eileen felt a twinge of apology. She didn’t want to end up in this state, but she was already feeling much
better.
Eileen shook her head. “I... never asked for it...”
“A gentleman instructed me to give this to you, saying that you’ve twisted your ankle,” said the housekeeper..
However, Eileen still shook her head, “I’m sorry. I did sprain my ankle, but it might not be meant for me. You should ask someone
else!”
Elm, standing aside, picked up the bottle of safflower oil and said, “You refuse to use the medicine that was personally delivered
to you. Are you a fool or something?”
He had noticed a certain man in the backyard garden earlier.
Who else would care for her, if not him? What can I say? Eileen is truly capable. She could even handle a difficult person like
Jasper.
Surprisingly, Eileen witnessed Elm humbling himself, kneeling in front of her.
“What are you doing!” she exclaimed.
