“But I only trust you.”
Chapter 91
Noticing that Elizabeth still wanted to persuade him, Andrew immediately interrupted her, “Don’t you have an appointment
in the morning? It’s almost 10. Why didn’t anyone come to remind you that you have work?”
“Yes,” Elizabeth glanced at the clock on the wall. “A young lady is coming over for counseling at 11:30.
“It’s still early. Why? Do you have something in mind?”
Andrew frowned. “Then you won’t be able to eat lunch.”
“I’ll just eat a little later.” Elizabeth let go of Andrew and jumped off the table, showing him the snacks she had accumulated and explained. “Because she doesn’t like to eat, she uses reasonable excuses like appointments to avoid it.”
Andrew did not ask further.
Andrew went directly to the computer and asked, “Can I use it? I have a couple of emails I’d like to read.”
Andrew really couldn’t bear to part with Elizabeth, so he sent a message to Robert and stayed with Elizabeth, using her computer to start his work.
Andrew left at 11, not wanting to delay Elizabeth’s work further since he’d already stayed for quite a while.
However, when Andrew went to get his car, he saw a skinny girl wrapped in a huge coat, wearing a mask and sunglasses. She‘ had covered herself up tightly, so skinny that her exposed hands looked like they were left with only bones.
Andrew couldn’t help but take a few more glances at her.
Even with such a small movement, the two bodyguards beside the girl immediately assumed a protective posture, using their eyes to warn Andrew.
One of the bodyguards even pointed at Andrew, asking sternly. “What are you looking at?”
The girl seemed frightened by this roar, grabbing her coat tightly and lowering her head even more.
“The scenery.” Andrew had no intention of getting into a conflict with them, quickly getting into his car.
Andrew tapped his fingertips on the steering wheel, watching as the bodyguards escorted the girl away.
This should be the girl with anorexia who had an appointment with Elizabeth.
Even if he wasn’t a psychiatrist, Andrew knew very well that a girl like her didn’t want to be noticed. Even her outfit showed that she was trying to hide herself.
However, the two bodyguards were very out of place.
While looking like they were protecting this girl, at the same time, they deliberately confronted others and made her the center of attention.
Almost like…
They were intentionally making her condition worse.
“Interesting.”
Andrew sneered and decided to tell Elizabeth about this after her appointment with the girl had finished.
If this girl was a victim of the internal strife between the wealthy families, Elizabeth should break off contact so that she would not be dragged into an unnecessary problem.
Before Andrew could say anything to Elizabeth, she had a problem of her own.
As expected, the problem lay with the two bodyguards.
Instead of waiting in the lounge as requested by the nurse at the front desk, they went straight into Elizabeth’s office.
In doing so, they walked in on Elizabeth drinking coffee and eating chocolate biscuits.
The smells of these foods, which were already very rich, clashed together and stimulated the girl’s senses, causing her to start retching.
“What are you doing?”
“How can you be so unprofessional!”
The two bodyguards criticized Elizabeth. One of the bodyguards rushed over to snatch her biscuits out of her hand and threw them out of the window while the other picked up the cup of coffee and poured it into a flower pot.
“You’re early.”

Elizabeth looked at the two bodyguards‘ provocative expressions and was no longer angry.
Elizabeth pulled out a wet wipe and wiped the remnant biscuit crumbs from her fingers. She stopped 6.5 feet away from the girl and said, “If you pour coffee into a flower pot, the smell in the room will be stronger.
Wait in the lounge. I’ll come after tidying up.”
The bodyguard heard Elizabeth’s implicit accusation and spoke even louder in his guilt. “What is the meaning of this? You’re going to leave her here?”
Elizabeth looked at the bodyguard coldly, turned around, and went to the bathroom.
Elizabeth washed her hands seriously, brushed her teeth, and borrowed a coat from Eva. After making sure that she did not smell like food, Elizabeth entered the lounge.
As soon as Elizabeth walked in, the bodyguard started chiding her. “Dr. Hayes, you’re so arrogant, making our young lady wait so long.
“Arrogant? Just a little.”
Elizabeth smiled and pointed at the door. The treatment is about to begin. Please leave.”
“We’re her personal bodyguards!” The bodyguard raised his chin and refused to leave.
“Okay.” Elizabeth nodded, taking out her phone and dialing numbers slowly. “Then I’ll ask your boss if she wants you to stay.”
The bodyguard looked at the number on Elizabeth’s phone and gave Elizabeth a warning glare. “Let’s go.”
After the two of them left the room, the girl sitting on the sofa visibly heaved a sigh of relief, her tense shoulders gently relaxing.
As she was still unwilling to open her heart to Elizabeth, the session did not seem to help much since they only touched on trivial topics.
It was more of a way of pacifying her parents than a psychological counseling session.
After all, these things could not be forced.
However, Elizabeth noticed that when the two bodyguards came to pick the girl up, her nerves tensed up again.
Something was wrong.
“She’s leaving?” Eva held a cup of coffee as she stood behind Elizabeth, leaning against the wall as she asked, “How was it? Did you make any progress today?”
“No.” Elizabeth shook her head and sighed in defeat. “She’s just going through the motions.
“Why don’t we let Brandon give it a try? He might have something in common with a girl like her. For example, they can talk about fashion, idols, couple pairings… You know, things like that.”
Leaning against the wall, Eva looked up at Elizabeth and stood straight, saying solemnly, “No
“You should be able to tell that she’s extremely uneasy. If you hand her over to another doctor, she’ll feel that you’re rejecting her like everyone else.
“It will be like even you have given up on her.
“This will only deepen her self–hatred. As a doctor with morals, you can’t do that.”
Elizabeth was stunned for a moment and immediately apologized. “I’m sorry, Eva. I didn’t think it through”
“It’s not your fault.” Eva patted Elizabeth’s hand. “Perhaps because there have been more patients recently, that’s why you’re a little impatient,
“Liz, you must calm yourself down. Some things can’t be rushed.”
“Alright. Elizabeth let out a long sigh and rubbed her swollen temples.
Maybe she really should rest, Elizabeth thought.
Or, maybe she should take a short vacation with Andrew when he returned from his business trip.
Suddenly, a girl’s heart–wrenching scream came from downstairs, and a nurse rushed upstairs.
“Oh no! Dr. Hayes, Dr. Marshall, we have a problem!”
The nurse pointed downstairs anxiously. “The patient who just left bumped into another patient who was arriving, and she suddenly started screaming
“The two bodyguards are now reprimanding the other patient. The situation is out of control”
For the nurse to describe it this way, the truth was probably much more serious than what had been said.

“Let’s go and take a look.” Elizabeth looked back at Eva and headed down first.
Eva immediately stuffed the coffee cup into the nurse’s hand. “Wait for me.”
