Preference For Her By Joyce Dan

Chapter 84

Chapter 84

Chapter 84

After Elizabeth decided to open her heart to Andrew, her interactions with Andrew started becoming more natural.

They were now affectionate in front of Benjamin, and the affection was genuine without any affectation like before.

Be it in the natural way they ate together or how Elizabeth adjusted Andrew’s tie before he left the house, their small. interactions exuded a flirtatious aura that others could clearly sense.

Benjamin saw this and was overjoyed.

Hence, he asked Andrew to deliver lunch to Elizabeth once again.

“Is this…”

In the lounge of the psychology center, Elizabeth looked at the lunchbox, which opened to at least four stacks of food. She rubbed her forehead speechlessly. “That’s too much.”

Andrew nodded. His gaze was awkward as he shifted to the side and whispered. “It can be too much for one person.

“Grandpa didn’t intend for you to eat alone. He wanted…”

Holding back a chuckle, Elizabeth deliberately interrupted Andrew’s words and said, “Did he want me to share the food with my colleagues?”

Andrew was stunned for a moment. He laughed awkwardly and said reluctantly, “Probably.”

“What else could I say?” Andrew thought.

Since Elizabeth did not ask Andrew to stay for lunch, he could not bring the subject up.

He feared the rejection and embarrassment that might happen if he asked.

I’m kidding

Elizabeth chuckled and opened the lunchbox. She then placed the dishes one by one on the table and handed a fork to Andrew. “Let’s eat together.”

Andrew did not take it. Instead, he asked, “Is this a good idea? You won’t have enough to share with your colleagues then.

Elizabeth rolled her eyes at Andrew and shoved the fork into his hand. “Are you still holding a grudge against me? Sit down.

and eat.”

Instead of eating, Andrew placed the fork back into the bottom of the lunchbox. He then packed the dishes one by one. back into the lunchbox. He looked at the stunned Elizabeth and pointed out of the window. “The flowers at the back are blossoming beautifully. Let’s go and eat over there.

What a nice season.

Andrew pulled Elizabeth toward the back garden, where they sat together in the pavilion. The wisterias had wrapped themselves around the pillars and were drooping down. Under the sunlight, they were light pinkish–purple in color. Occasionally, petals would fall onto the ground. The scenery was as beautiful as a dream.

However, the scenery was the last thing on Andrew’s mind. His gaze was focused on Elizabeth, who was eating.

Elizabeth felt uneasy under Andrew’s constant gaze and buried her head deeper.

Elizabeth’s shyness made Andrew’s heart flutter.

Before Andrew could stop himself, he reached out his hand to caress Elizabeth’s cheek. Elizabeth was clearly not wearing any makeup, but her face felt soft. His hand felt like it was stuck onto a feather. It was a light caress, and yet it felt irresistibly soft and tender.

Elizabeth was shocked by Andrew’s sudden action. She quickly sat up and stared at him with wide eyes in astonishment. “W–what are you doing?”

“Oh. Andrew pulled his hand back and rubbed the tips of his fingers longingly. His smile was inevitably a little awkward. “There was some sauce on your face. I just wanted to help you wipe it off”

“Really?” Elizabeth blinked in confusion and rubbed her lingertips against her face. “There’s nothing on my face.”

“I’ve wiped it off for you” Andrew was afraid that he would give himself away if Elizabeth stared at him again. Thus, he

lowered his head and ate his food.

Coincidentally, a few petals of the wisteria flowers fell on Andrew’s head as the wind blew.

Elizabeth reached out her hand and took the petals off Andrew’s head, throwing them casually on the ground.

“Well…”

Andrew smiled as he touched the top of his head.

It was only then that Elizabeth realized that her act of taking the petals off was a little flirtatious. She quickly put her hand behind her back and stammered, “I–I…

“Some petals fell on your head just now.”

Andrew looked up at the wisterias and smiled. “There is a flower indeed.

When Elizabeth saw that Andrew did not believe her, she blushed and huffed, “It’s true. Forget it if you don’t believe me.”

“Yes, yes, it’s true. Andrew was still smiling. “Let’s eat first.”

“There were really… Oh, forget it!” Elizabeth glared at Andrew before she continued to eat.

When Andrew saw that Elizabeth was really angry, he did not dare to tease her further. He sat in silence with her to finish the meal.

The lunch break ended.

Andrew placed the lunchbox in the pantry and dragged Elizabeth into the treatment room.

After Andrew locked the door and put up the “Do Not Disturb” sign, he sat in the middle of a long sofa and looked at Elizabeth. He said with a solemn expression, “We have stopped our treatment for a period of time. I think we can continue

“This time, I hope you can look more in–depth for the cause of my illness. Is that okay?”

However, Elizabeth fell silent.

After a while, Elizabeth looked up at Andrew with a solemn expression. “It’s not difficult to find the cause of the illness, but have you thought about the kind of treatment you prefer?”

“Yes.” Andrew nodded gently and clasped his hands together. “A fusion treatment, just like you mentioned before.”

Elizabeth looked into Andrew’s eyes seriously. She saw the seriousness in his eyes, and she nodded slowly. “Okay.”

The fusion treatment was the best option, and Elizabeth hoped that she would succeed.

Elizabeth hoped that by hypnotizing Andrew this time, he could return to the day when he was hurt. Then, she would find a way to trigger his split personality.

She would make the split personality appear at that moment to protect Andrew and try to make the two personalities meet formally during the hypnosis process. Then, she would try to have the two personalities resonate and accept each other.

In the beginning, everything went smoothly.

In fact, Elizabeth really managed to let Andrew meet the split personality he saw in his own memories. He seemed like a taller version of himself standing beside him.

When the two personalities were about to communicate, Andrew, who was lying flat, suddenly sat up and twitched on the sofa like a stranded fish.

“Andrew!” Elizabeth was terrified. She threw away the book in her hand and pounced onto Andrew, trying to hold onto his hands and feet.

However, Andrew struggled even harder and let out a scream that sounded like it came from a youth.

“Andrew, don’t be afraid. I am Elizabeth. Do you see the person beside you? He and I will protect you. Don’t be afraid!” Elizabeth held onto Andrew while she tried to wake him up.

Andrew abruptly calmed down and suddenly opened his eyes.

How should those eyes be described…

They were simply a pair of eyes that belonged to a wild beast. Those eyes were filled with savageness, ferocity, and cruelty. When Andrew looked at Elizabeth, his face was filled with disgust and hatred. He looked like he wanted to bite Elizabeth’s throat and rip her throat apart.

“You…” Elizabeth was shocked. She wanted to let go of Andrew but suppressed her fear and continued to hold on to his arm. She asked tentatively, “Are you awake? Who are you?”

“Get lost!” Andrew roared ferociously.

Elizabeth panicked and tightened her grip around Andrew. She asked anxiously, “Andrew, look carefully. Don’t you recognize me?”

“I said, get lost!” Andrew’s eyes darkened. He panted desperately, and his eyes even turned a little red.

Elizabeth was shocked.

Elizabeth released her grip on Andrew in a panic and backed away from him. However, she still stayed close by. She pointed at her own face and asked, “Look carefully. Do you really not recognize me?”
