Chapter 18 Enemies Are Destined To Meet
"Yes, my man. What's wrong?" Cindy raised her head and directed up to him.
As soon as she finished his words, Ethan's face darkened.
Was it too much for her to say that? Glancing at Ethan, Cindy felt a little regretful.
"Cindy, are you sure?" His low and hoarse voice sounded a little strange in the car. "Yes, I'm sure."
Cindy was so angry that she spoke without thinking.
The problem of medical fees made the regret in Cindy's heart disappear in an instant.
Ethan straightened up and said coldly with a livid face, "stop the car."
"Creak!"
The car stopped and Leon looked back from the rearview mirror.
There was no sound in the quiet car, filled with the danger before the storm.
"Get off the car."
A cold voice came out from Ethan's throat, as if it came from an ice cellar made of ice.
Cindy was stunned.
"Get off the car!" He raised his voice.
Then, Ethan stretched out his hand over Cindy's body. The door opened.
Not knowing what had happened, Cindy stared blankly at Ethan.
"Didn't you say that you wanted to get out of the car? I'll help you. Now you can go to find your "man" His cold voice sounded a little angry. Why not?
Raising her head, Cindy stretched out her foot and accidentally hung the heel of her shoe on the door. She stumbled and fell to the ground. Her shin hurt.
The door slammed shut.
Through the car door, Cindy still heard the desolate order of Ethan in the car.
"Drive."
Then, with a loud bang, the black Bentley drove away.
Ethan Huo. Ethan Huo.
Sitting on the ground, Cindy clenched her fists and stared at the car driving away. Her eyes were quickly filled with tears and she cursed the name in her heart. She couldn't feel the pain on her leg.
What about the medical fees?
Ethan, you are such a self-righteous man.
Thinking of this, Cindy couldn't help cursing Ethan.
"Miss, do you need any help?" A taxi stopped in front of Cindy.
"Oh, no, thanks."
Cindy didn't want others to see her embarrassment, so she tried to get up from the ground. Cindy felt a sharp pain in her shin. She lowered her head and saw a long wound. She must have been cut by somewhere pony of the car door.
The taxi driver also saw the wound on Cindy's leg. "Miss, shall I drive you home?"
"No, thanks. You can leave now. Thank you."
Home?
Cindy smiled bitterly in her heart.
Her house in Garden of Fragrance was lived by them, and Cindy didn't want to go back to see Mindy's annoying face.
There seemed to be no place for her to stay in Cheng family. Dr. Bai said that Jason had come back. She was afraid to see his hopeful eyes because she was depressed.
It was getting dark. Cindy sat on a bench on the roadside and looked at the city with neon lights. She couldn't find her home.
After a long time, a car slid over silently.
"Miss Cindy." The driver poked his head out and greeted Cindy.
Cindy recognized that it was Ethan's subordinate.
She turned her head aside.
"Miss Cindy, please. Mr. Mr. Ethan has helped you apply for a single apartment in the hospital." Leon got out of the car and handed a key to Cindy.
No. 2006
There was a number sticker on the key.
Cindy recognized that it was the key to the hospital's single apartment. She had seen it in Shelly's hand last time.
"No, thanks."
Without reaching out her hand, Cindy stood up and left.
"Ah!" after sitting for a long time, Cindy couldn't help but cry out of pain as soon as she stood up.
"Miss Cindy, I'll put the key here for you. It's up to you whether you want to live or not. I have to obey Mr. Ethan's orders."
Leon threw the key on the chair, turned around and drove away.
Humph! Like master, like servant.
Cindy snorted in her heart, frowned and turned away. There was a wound on her leg, and it was inevitable to be affected when she walked. Cindy grinned, but her back was straight.
She didn't want Ethan to see her embarrassment.
Cindy walked slower and slower. Finally, she stopped.
Why not move in?
It was said that the single apartment in the hospital was very popular. It was well equipped with everything. To be honest, it was more comfortable than living in her own house. Anyway, she had nowhere to go now, so she decided to spend the night there and make up her mind tomorrow.
What's more, there was such a large amount of medical fees placed there. Cindy was reluctant to give up that money. Besides, even if Cindy took out all her bags, she couldn't afford the hotel fee. Thinking of this, Cindy shook her head, turned around, picked up the key and left.
Soon, Cindy arrived at the single apartment of No.2 People's Hospital of J City.
She took out the key and swiped the door card.
The door opened automatically.
Ethan, you finally did something reliable.
"Ding!"
The elevator stopped at floor twenty.
Cindy walked out of the elevator and looked up.
It was said that the single apartment was proposed by the chairman of the hospital. In order to solve the problem of those students who just graduated from medical school and had no place to live. In order to show the kindness and moral of the hospital, this apartment cost a lot of money. Any single hospital employee was qualified to apply for it.
Of course, not everyone could live here. The apartment was popular, and the quota was very limited. Only outstanding employees could get the key.
The corridor was clean and spacious, and the marble floor was shining, which looked even more high-end than the house in "Garden of Fragrance" bought by Cindy.
No wonder so many people tried their best to get this.
How could Ethan be so capable?
Cindy muttered to herself and finally found her room.
"2006, welcome to check in. I'm your neighbor, Shelly Zhang. Hope we get well on with each other." A cheerful voice sounded.
Cindy, who was opening the door with the key, turned around.
Shelly?
What a small world.
The woman, who was incompatible with her like fire and water, stood in the corridor and looked at her with a smile.
Seeing it was Cindy, Shelly's face froze.
"Cindy, you are really something. You even got the key to single apartment which is hard to do. You pretend really well at usual. How could it be possible without the help of Claude? Humph!" With a snort of contempt, Shelly Zhang raised her head in an instant.
Room 2006 was the best room on this floor, and it was the only single room. She thought she could get close to the new neighbor, but it turned out to be the annoying Cindy. "No, I didn't." Cindy said in a low voice, but with certainty.
"Ha ha, no? It was not easy to get into a single apartment. You are just an intern nurse. If you don't have an affair with Claude, how can you live in? If it weren't for me..."
Feeling that she had made a slip of the tongue, Shelly stopped talking immediately.
Her uncle was the deputy director of the hospital's internal affairs department. It took him a lot of effort to get the apartment for her. If others knew this, they would accuse her uncle of favoritism. "I said I didn't." After saying that coldly, Cindy walked into the room.
The door slammed shut behind her. 000☐☐☐
