He was being very forceful. As a result, she had nowhere else to run. Still, she answered, “Of course, he’s quite nice.”
“What if he abandons you when he finds out you’re married?” Brian’s chilly breath tickled against her skin.

just find another. You know how it is. Plenty of fishes in the sea and what not. Besides, I’m quite pretty. I’m sure I’ll find someone.”
“So, you’re definitely going to cheat on me?”
Stella smiled. “Well, you refused to sign the divorce papers. So, I can only find someone else despite my unfortunate marital status. If you can find a mistress, I’m sure I can find someone who wouldn’t mind. That way, everyone’s happy. Isn’t that fair?”
Brian staped her down for ages. It seemed that he still thought that she was scheming something as he growled, “Fine. I want to be the fly in the wall when he learns your true colors.”
“I’m sure things will go smoothly if you don’t mess things up for me.” Stella chuckled.
“I’m not that bored.” Brian harrumphed before smiling snidely. “Still, your body…”
He trailed off before abruptly

Stella clutched her dress to her chest as she screeched, “What’s with you?”
Brian drawled snidely, “Will the Nas Group’s CEO still want a woman like you? A woman that I’ve been
using for two years?”
“Brian, that’s enough!”
“I’m just being honest.” Brian stared at her as his breath quickened. Then, he carried her to the bed and trapped her under him, saying huskily, “Will he cherish you?
Stella looked up at him, nearly pressing her lips against his. She flinched away from him in horror and rolled off the bed, glaring at him all the way.
He was far too dangerous. How dare he harass her willy–nilly!
Stella didn’t have the guts to remain in the same room as him. She screamed at him for being a scoundrel
before running away.
“Where are you going?” Brian wasn’t happy that she would leave just like that. So, he wasted no time
chasing her.
Stella was deathly frightened. Nonetheless, she hastily darted into a guest room and closed the door.
The door slammed shut with a bang, the lingering rattle nearly hitting Brian in the nose.
His face was thunderous as he warned, “Stella, open the door!”
Stella practically fell against the door in her haste. When she heard him, she shrieked, “I’ve already made my decision. Since you refuse to divorce me, we’ll just live with our lovers.”
“I’ll be staying in the guest room from now on. Do not bother me unless there’s something urgent.”
Brian narrowed his eyes. “You’re serious about this?”
“That’s right. This is what I want. You have your first love while I have my romance. We’ll just use each. other!”
Brian had a gloomy look on his face as he stood beyond the door. After a while, he spat, “You’d better not regret this!”
He was still of the assumption that Stella was doing this to gain his attention.
She had always been like this.
Brian wasn’t going to her schemes. So, he spun on his heel and left.

Stella waited and listened to his fading footsteps. Slowly but surely, her panicked heart gradually calmed down.
Frankly, she was terrified of returning tonight. Still, she mustered up every bit of courage and said her piece. She didn’t expect things to go so well!
This could be considered a win in her book.

She soothed herself, chanting in her mind, “Hang in there. Once Brian gets fed up with me and signs the papers, Dad will be free.”
She slept wonderfully that night.
The following day, Stella had just changed into her clothes when her phone rang.
She ambled toward the bedside table and saw Sharon’s name displayed on the caller ID.
She had just gone on a blind date yesterday and here Sharon was. Someone was truly eager, wasn’t she? “Hey, Sharon, Stella answered Sharon’s phone call.
