Our Journey Back To Love

Chapter 36

Chapter 36

Stella felt rather awkward. “Thanks for sending me home.”

“It’s nothing. Oh, right. I sent your car for repairs. I’ll contact you once it’s done.”

“Thank you so much.”

“It’s the least I could do,” Yoel replied with a smile.

He was just so nice.

The only thing Stella could say was, “Thank you!”

Yoel pulled the car to a stop when they arrived at Yolvencrest Estate. However, he looked at the dark and minimalist villa and said, “You live here?”

Yes. Thanks so much for sending me home.” Stella didn’t say anything else as she took the cake and left the car.

“Stella,” Yoel abruptly called out to her.

Under the moonlight, Stella, who was carrying the cake in her hands, looked peaceful. “What is it?”

“I think you’re great.” Yoel smiled gently. “I think your work and your character are great. What do you think? Will you collaborate with Nas Group and herald in a new era?”

A new era

Stella felt her heart thump wildly.

It would be a lie to say that she wasn’t tempted.

She had worked so hard all these years just so she could climb the ladder to success. Regardless, she didn’t lose her cool in the face of such a tempting offer

She felt that she should get to know Yoel better before making a decision.

If he was a true gentleman, she would be more than happy to collaborate with him.

She curled her lips into a smile. “My hand is hurt right now. I guess I’ll have to consider you offer another

day.”

“Take your time. I’ll be waiting for your response.”

“Let’s discuss this the day after tomorrow.” It would be better to talk shop

better.

“Sure,” Yoel replied before driving off.

Stella stood in the courtyard and watched him as he left. She didn’t notice Brian was standing at the second floor, staring down at them.

A breeze blew by, adding an edge to the dangerous look in his eyes.

Stella sauntered into the villa with her cake in tow.

Brian had came down from the second floor. When the two met gazes, his height advantage made the entire aura around him oppressive.

Stella took a discrete breath before deciding to meet him head–on with a smile. “Oh, you’re home, Mr. Foley?”

He scarcely made a trip here due to his work. Yet, here he was making a nuisance of himself now.

Then again, he was probably acting this way because his first love had returned from abroad. That was why he rarely left the country, wasn’t it?

“Where did you go?” Brian asked dispassionately as he walked down the stairs.

Stella beamed brightly. “I went on a blind date.”

Brian couldn’t help but assume that he had misheard her upon hearing her response. So, he furrowed his brows and repeated, “Blind date?”

“That’s right!” she answered candidly. Then, she changed into her indoor slippers before bouncing off to the kitchen.

“Gosh, I’m starving. Are there any leftovers for me?”

“Why did you go on a blind date? Brian followed after her.

Stella carefully placed the strawberry cake in the refrigerator. She didn’t want to eat any sweets at night.

Her next stop was the pot.

Just as she had expected, there was some stew simmering in there. Yvonne had probably left her some, The kindly Yvonne would always leave her some stew when she came home late.

Stella loved stew. So, she helped herself to a bowl before sitting by the dining table and drinking it slowly.

Brian didn’t say anything. Instead, he sat across from her and waited for her to finish her stew.  Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ (F)indNƟvᴇl.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Stella finished the whole bowl and felt her stomach settle. She let out a satisfied sigh and smiled. “That hit the spot.

Brian pursed his lips. “You haven’t answered my question.”

“I went on a blind date because I felt like it,” Stella didn’t see the need to hide anything. After all, Jessica had probably told him everything. There was no need for her to waste her breath.
