Chapter 198
Chapter 198
“Alright.” Yoel smiled gently, always looking calm and composed.
Stella followed Brian out of the hospital room. She hadn’t expected that he would end up using her father
to threaten her.
Stella was disappointed. As long as her father remained in prison, she would be at someone else’s mercy,
unable to act freely.
They walked out of the hospital and got into the car. Neither of them said a word on the way. Stella didn’t want to say anything and leaned against the car window with her eyes closed
When they arrived at Tarovian Terrace, Yvonne came out to greet them. “Mr. Foley, Mrs. Foley, welcome
home. Dinner is ready. Please eat while it’s hot.”
Brian didn’t say anything and headed to the dining hall. However, Stella didn’t follow him. She said to Yvonne, “Yvonne, I don’t have much of an appetite. I’ll go upstairs first.”
She felt exhausted and didn’t want to eat. Yvonne went to inform Brian. As Stella reached the stairs, she
heard the sound of dishes being smashed in the kitchen. She flinched, quickly making her way upstairs.
In her room, she found the first aid kit and applied some ointment to her knee. She hadn’t had time to get
it treated at the hospital.
Within minutes, Brian pushed the door open. His handsome face was dark with anger. “Are you going to
eat or not?” he demanded harshly.
But then, he saw her applying medicine in the room. Her face filled with exhaustion. Brian’s stern face
softened a bit as he approached her. “Did you get hurt yesterday?”
He took the medicine from her and applied it for her. Stella didn’t say anything. Hugging her knees, she asked, “When will you rescue my dad?”
Brian paused and looked up at her. “Are you in such a hurry?”
“Of course. He’s my dad.” At this moment, Stella missed her father terribly. In this world, only her dad truly
loved her.
Brian didn’t care about her that much. As long as something happened to Jessica, he would abandon her.
What Stella wanted most now was for her father to be released. It didn’t matter whether it was Brian or Sharon rescuing Simon. She only wanted her father
“It depends on my mood.” Brian gave an ambiguous answer.
Stella’s expression changed as she suddenly looked up at him. “Are you lying to me? You never intended. to get my father released, did you?”
Brian said, “I told you, it depends on my mood.”
In reality, he was reluctant to release Simon. He had worked so hard to put Simon in prison, so letting him
out now would make all that effort pointless.
The only reason Sharon agreed was because she didn’t know about the things Simon had done to Jasper.
If the Foley family knew Simon had betrayed Jasper, Sharon wouldn’t tolerate Stella. Even Alfred wouldn’t accept her.
Brian was still hesitating about this. But to Stella, his hesitation seemed like delay and deceit. Her gaze tumed icy cold and expressionless.
After applying the medicine, Brian said, “Don’t go to the hospital to see Yoel again.” Stella looked up at
him.
*I’ve arranged for someone to take care of him. The doctor said he only needs a couple days of rest
before being discharged,” Brian explained.
A strange thought suddenly crossed Stella’s mind. He was isolating her from everyone but refused to get
Simon released. This way, Stella could only depend on him.
