Chapter 26
**Sebastian**
As soon as my family came piling out of the house I felt a jolt of panic. I wasn't expecting them to ambush us as soon as we arrived and I was worried that Elena would be freaked out, but she smiled and took it with grace. I watched her face when my mom pulled her into a hug. It looked as if she was about to cry and she did. My heart ached that something so simple would make her so sad. Did she really not have any family anywhere? What happened to them?
"Elena this is my sisters Stella and Ava, and that guy there is Benjamin." I point to each of my siblings as I introduce them and my sisters pull Elena into a hug just like mom did. "You are so pretty," Ava says.
Elena's face flushes and she gives her a shy smile. "Thank you so are you."
"Aw, what a precious little thing." My mom says when she moves over to me to meet Eli. "Can I hold him?"
Elena looks hesitant but nods. I carefully hand him over and he slowly opens his eyes finally. My mom laughs and wipes away a tear as she stares down at the little guy.
"He's Beautiful." She says smiling up at me like a proud grandma.
"He is." I agree as I brush a hand over his small tuff of hair.
It's so soft. He looks so tiny compared to my hand and yet he didn't seem scared of me.
"I hope you like your room. I had to reign Mom in a little because we wanted to let you pick some things to personalize it." Ava says.
"Thank you," Elena says but gives me a confused look.
"Let's go inside so you can check everything out. Sebastian only has the basic stuff since he never lived here." Mom says as she heads for the front door.
I place my hand on the small of Elena's back and follow my family inside.
"Like my sister said I only have the basics set up. I wanted to let you decorate how you wanted." I tell her when we step inside.
You immediately see the living room and it has a large U-shaped couch with a ton of black and white pillows. There are also a few grey fuzzy blankets thrown on it. The house is open-planned so you can see the dining room and kitchen from anywhere in the main part of the house. The kitchen has all of the newest appliances and the dining table is big enough to fit my family and us. There is a huge granite island with a big sink built into it and some bar chairs so that we can sit there as well. I spot a baby rocker next to the table as well.
The stairs to the upstairs are to the left of us and along that way is a door leading into my new home office. I had Miles bring everything here while we were shopping. I'm not sure if he set everything up yet but I can manage that much. "It's so beautiful," Elena whispers. "I've never seen anything like it."
A swell of pride makes me stand a little taller knowing she likes her new home.
We head upstairs and like downstairs the floor plane is more open. There is a loft-style sitting area looking over to the main house and two hallways. One leading to the right of the house and another leading toward the back of the house. I had it built in an L-shape so we could add onto it at any time or set up a large play area for the kids to hang out. Of course, the land around the house could be built on but I wanted that area to be more private. A reed fence was set up to close off the yard area behind the house to give us more privacy.
I loved how our pack was open-planned but as the Alpha, I wanted something more private. Something that is just for me and my family that no one would be able to see.
"Here is Eli's room," Mom says pointing to the first door.
My sister.... Opens it and they all step aside so Elena and I can look inside. Elena gasped and covered her mouth with her hand. I followed her inside and am pleasantly impressed by how nice it is. They went all out in here. The walls are light grey with white molding along the ceiling and floors. When I look up at the ceiling I see someone has painted clouds everywhere. How did they get this done so fast? They must have called a whole crew in to help.
There is an oval-shaped crib with pieces of fabric hanging off the top with little wolves decorating it. On one of the walls is a mural of a wooded area, a large rock, and a wolf howling at the moon. I chuckle at the image but I kind of fucking love it.
"I can't believe they did all this. It must have been so much work." Elena says when she turns to me.
"You guys deserve the best," I tell her.
She shakes her head. "I can't believe any of this is real."
I walk over to her rest my hands on her hips and tug her closer to me. Her hands land on my chest to steady herself and I feel warmth spread through me. I loved it when she touched me.
"It's real baby, and all for you. Do you like it?" I feel a pinch of nerves but it leaves just as fast as it came when she smiles up at me.
"I do."
"Good. Now let's go see your room." I release her hips but grab one of her hands to lead her out of the room.
She doesn't move which forces me to stop and look back at her. "What's wrong?"
"Why do I have a separate room? Is that normal for an Omega and Alpha relationship?" She asks looking genuinely confused and not the least bit shy.
It seems like to her she's just stating a fact when in my head it sounds like she's saying she wants to share a room with me. I'm going to go with my version. Does this mean she can't stay away from me? Does she feel the urge to be around me...to touch me like I do?
"We just thought since things are so new..." My mom says but trails off when I give her a little hint to let me and Elena speak alone.
Once everyone is gone I focus back on my sweet Omega. I face her fully and take her other hand in mine.
"This is new Elena. I don't want to push you into anything you aren't ready for. I can't speak for other Alphas since I tend to do things a lot differently, but I assume yes Alphas and their Omegas share the same room. But as I said I won't force you to do that. This is new for you and you might want your own space and that's okay." I added that last part on as quickly as possible because I want her to feel like this is her decision.
She glances around the room we're in and I can almost hear her mind working through everything. When she looks back at me I can't tell what decisions she's come to and I can only sense a vague rush of emotions. The more time we've spent together has allowed whatever connection we have to grow a little stronger and now I can get a vague sense of her emotions. Which doesn't do me much good because her emotions feel erratic. "Elena?" I ask because the longer she doesn't speak the more I'm getting worried.
She shakes her head. "I don't know what the right thing is. You..." Her eyes focus on mine and she sighs. "You aren't like any kind of Alpha I expected to meet. You're kind and considerate. I'm not sure how to respond to any of this. I was trained to be the perfect Omega for an Alpha who would give me my role in his life and in his pack. You aren't doing that and I'm not sure how to act or what to say."
I see...
"Everything iv said I mean. All of this is your choice. Accepting me...my family...my pack...is all up to you. Where do you sleep? Up to you. I want you to be happy no matter how that looks for us." I tell her as sincerely as possible. She watches me for a few long moments. Then she moves closer to me a little at a time until our hands are squished between us. On instinct, I lower my head so we're closer to each other and then she does something I don't expect. She tilts her head up and brushes her lips over mine. My control snaps.
