Yeesss so up next. Chapter 17 which is by the way the longest chapter so far in the book

I walked back into the ballroom and I felt suffocated all of a sudden. It felt as if the walls were closing in on me and many eyes were staring at me.

I tried looking for Aaron but he seemed to have vanished into thin air. Oh great.

I looked straight ahead and regretted it after.

It was Greg and he looked scary. His beard had grown over the past few months and his eyes had a deadly glint.

He looked more of a rogue than a Beta.

What was Kyle thinking when he made him his second in command.

It seemed that he had notice my stare and he looked back at me and gave me a smirk that made my blood run cold.

Shit. He saw me. I am so screwed.

I turned away and walked to another direction but due to the fact that the universe hates me, I bumped into someone else whose body felt like the freaking wall of china.

"I am so sorry" I said trying to walk away but the guy held my arm

"Let me go"I tried prying my arm off his grip but he tightened it instead

I looked up and cursed the ground. Great. It was Kyle and I thought that this night couldn't get any worse.

"Alpha Kyle "I said coldly and a tint of hurt washed over his features

"Mate "he breathes out and drew me close.

Few months a ago I would have had butterflies in my tummy and chills would run all over my skin but now I felt nothing for the fool.

I didn't bother hearing their response. I simply walked away to the food corrner.

I piled my plate up with meat and dug in

Trumpets were suddenly blown and some member of the royal family was announced .

It was supposedly Xavier's parents not that I cared so I kept on eating.

A strong grip was on my arm and a snarl sounded right by my ear.

"We need to leave now Natalia. I know that this is sudden and I know that I made you go through alot of shit but trust me it was for a good cause so please I need you to cooperate with me. I promise that I won't hurt you so please I repeat cooperate and go along with this"

It was Greg and he looked...scared?

"Why should I leave with you?"

"Please"he begged as he tried to drag me out of the room

"Greg, if you don't stop I will scream and cause a scene"

On hearing that ,his eyes turned dark and his grip tightened

He really was shameless

"You dumb bitch. You thought you could escape me. You were wrong and now that I've found you,I'm going to teach you a lesson that you will never forget"

"What are you going to do to me that you haven't. You've already taken everything from me you bastard so what is it that you'd do to me to break me" I went along with it wanting to know how this would all turn out

"Well first I'll gorge your eyes out then carve my name on your back with silver then make you my mate"

After that statement I changed my mind. I can't do this.

He was a sadistic wolf and a disgrace to his kind. Where's Aaron when you need him most

"Oh there you are love ,I've been looking everywhere for you"

It was Aaron and he seemed pissed.

Greg tensed . He knew that if he let me go,I'd blab about him and he would get killed but he also knew he couldn't hurt me .

I gave Aaron a pleading look and he seemed to have gotten the Memo.

"Sir can I have my mate back?"

"Mate? Boy this girl is not your mate infact her mate is my alpha and she ran away so I need to get her back safely"

,"Lies! Let me go!"I yelled and that seemed fo draw attention from everyone nearby.

"You kidnapped her boy and took her from her home. You even killed her mother my mate in the process and now you state that you want her back. You are unstable. You need to be put down.

He was purposely lying. None of that shit happt

Why was Greg lying.

"Stop lying you bastard and let me go"I screamed.

Now all attention was on us. The guards were coming towards our direction and people formed a circle around us.

Greg got pissed off and slammed his fists onto my face making my lip to split.

Aaron growled and the crowd gasped.

"Stand down Beta and leave my mate alone"

Oh for fucks sake Kyle shut up.

All eyes were on Kyle now.

Then to add Cherry to this bitter cake at the top, His highness King Xavier together with the entire royal family approached.

That was when I noticed the other guy,Xavier's father I supposed. He was a complete replica of Xavier but he had Jade green eyes. I was lost in them for a minute and him staring at me intensely didn't help.

He let out a sharp exhale which didn't go unnoticed by the female who I assumed was queen by his side.

"What is going on here!" Xavier yelled.

When he looked around and saw me on the floor his eyes softened abit before going back to being hard and cold.

"Forgive me your highness but this boy is withholding my mate stating that she is his"Kyle stated having a smug look on his face.

Did he know that Xavier was in the same school the day he rejected me

"What is your status boy "Xavier snarled addressing Kyle

"Alpha" Kyle replied looking all triumphant

"Is the girl your mate alpha Kyle?"

"Yes she is!"

"Then why do you bear another mark on your neck alpha Kyle"

I watched as Kyle began to tense then to make matters worse Sienna made her way to him and held him

"I am Sienna Stone,Alpha Kyle's mate and the Luna to his pack. I apologise for my mate's behavior alpha king he has a condition"

Xavier let out a sadistic laugh

"Look at you pathetic excuse of an Alpha marking and mating another yet wanting to claim your mate again. Do tell me, did you reject the human girl?"

"I did an...."

Kyle gulped

"So you went against the moon goddess"

"I...."

"Get out of my sight before I slaughter all of you and take your pack with you!"

"That's my daughter !I cant leave without her !" Greg growled

"The girl shall stay"Xavier growled

"And why should she or is she your personal whore is that why y..."

Greg's head went flying across the room in a split second .

It wasn't Xavier who did it but his Father. He seemed enraged and despite his mate trying to calm him down he still looked pissed.

"The party is done go home everyone!"

People scattered and left.

Aaron picked me up and walked me towards his room.

Too much had happened but only one question lingered in my mind.

Why did the former king look at me like that?
