Nosuë: The Wandering Vampire

Chapter Epilogue

~ Five years later ~

The land was extensive, though not surrounded, yet at least. I wasn’t sure if I wanted a fence enclosing my new home.

A home. The thought was thrilling and made me purr with pure pleasure.

One of my companions, a woman Taneka’s age, laughed and lightly squeezed my arm with a hint of healthy flirtation, although I hardly noticed her, I must confess.

At that moment, the Littyans with their two children, little Castia and the newborn Eriol, Ronald’s brother and three of Taneka’s friends, had all gathered to begin the construction of what was to be our residence, our home.

That was the beginning of my flock.

Of my home.

Of my life.

And… The End.

Thank you so much for reading until this point, and for seeing Nosuë get a new home at last. We really hope you enjoyed it, and to see you more often.

Now, if you want to know more about this character, you can stay. Let’s go!

We, Athalia’s as a duo of writers, published for the first time back in 2012 with a book called —in Spanish, so it’s a rough translation— ‘Blood Bonds’, and one of the main characters was Nosuë. That story was set many years after The Wandering Vampire, and there we saw a calm, sure and reliable vampire with a flock, a pub, a mansion and an old painting career under the pen name ‘Kiss’. The plot revolved around a new, young vampire with an abusive sire, and how he found peace near Nosuë, who, in the end, fought for him and saved him, even if it meant killing one of his own.

After a while, we wanted to explore a bit more of Nosuë’s past, and that’s when we wrote The Wandering Vampire, where we see a more savage, angry face of his. Still, we feel there is a lot more to see about him, so we may be writing a couple of short stories or something…

The book ‘Blood Bonds’ is no longer available for the public, but it’s a story we still remember fondly, and we may be thinking about reworking, rewriting it, changing the worst bits —it is, in the end, quite old— but keeping the essence of safety, sacrifice and love.

And so! That was it… for now, at least. This is the end for The Wandering Vampire, but we really like to write sequels, prequels and parallel stories, leaving hints and allowing characters to play a role inside other stories, so this is not at all the last time you could read about Nosuë, if you liked him.

Again, thank you so much for reading, and we really hope you liked it.
