Chapter Remarriage You 426

Chapter 426 How About I Teach You

Lenora's unease did not subside.

As Gabriel rose to leave the conference room, Lenora turned to the other two photographers. "You two head back first. I need to discuss something with Gabriel."

Without waiting for a response, she quickly stepped forward to catch up with him.

Gabriel glanced sideways at her but continued walking. "Yes, Fay? Is something wrong?"

Lenora smiled warmly. "I hope you don't mind me asking, but do you know why Ms. Isla came to see the director earlier?"

Gabriel gave her a meaningful look. "Yes, I'm aware. The director told me. Apparently, Ms. Isla threatened him on behalf of the Wilson family, demanding he replace the photographer."

Lenora's face turned pale. "What was the director's response?"

"What else could he say?" Gabriel replied casually. "He dismissed her demands outright. He said the choice of photographer is our internal matter and has nothing to do with her. Even the Wilson family can't interfere, unless her father personally intervenes." Hearing this, Lenora breathed a deep sigh of relief. "That's fantastic. Thank you."

She felt immensely fortunate to have chosen commercial photography and a company strong enough to withstand Isla's threats.

Had it been a smaller photography studio, they likely wouldn't have survived such pressure.

At last, she could feel the weight lifting from her shoulders.

Meanwhile, Isla had not expected the director to reject her so bluntly.

Even invoking her father, Bjorn, had failed to sway him. His response had been cutting and firm.

In the past, Isla had used her family's influence to remove people she disliked, forcing them out of Fairlake, but this time, her tactics had backfired.

Undeterred, Isla resorted to more underhanded measures.

She bribed several consumers to file false accusations, claiming the cosmetic company's products contained toxic substances. She also hired hooligans to stage disturbances at the company's mall outlets.

However, the cosmetic company was well-versed in handling such crises after years of facing competition.

Their public relations department easily clarified the situation and even managed to apprehend the troublemakers, giving them a stern warning.

Frustrated by her failure, Isla decided to seek help from her uncle, Albert, knowing her father wouldn't indulge her whims.

Albert, a board member of the Wilson family business and a shareholder in several companies, had an extensive network of connections.

Nudging his arm, Isla coaxed, "Uncle Albert, I can't stand Fay. Could you speak to Mr. Johnson about firing her? Please?"

Albert, his voice full of affection, replied, "All right, I'll handle it."

He then picked up his phone and called Mr. Johnson.

Handling a minor issue like this posed no challenge for Johnson, and he was more than willing to oblige.

After hanging up the phone, his secretary stepped forward quietly, offering some cautious advice.

"You mean Charlton?" Johnson murmured at the mention of the name. "But I've already agreed to help my niece."

His secretary suggested, "You could simply pretend to have forgotten about it. After all, you're extremely busy. Who has time to worry about such trivial matters? I'm certain this must be Ms. Isla's doing. An incident like this is hardly worth Mr. Wilson's attention. If he ever questions you, we'll handle it then." "Good point," Johnson agreed. "That's a reasonable way to sidestep it."

He promptly dismissed the matter from his mind.

Three days later, when Isla discovered that Lenora was still employed at the studio, she was utterly dumbfounded.

Meanwhile, Lenora remained blissfully unaware of Isla's schemes, devoting herself entirely to her commercial shoots.

That weekend, the weather was splendid, and Bella invited Lenora to a yacht party.

The dock was situated along the Trevena River, near its mouth where the river opened into the sea. A sandy beach stretched along the riverbank, a popular spot for locals to bask in the sun.

The beach was vibrant with weekend energy. Men strolled shirtless, women relaxed in bikinis, and groups gathered for various activities. Some played by the water's edge, others enjoyed barbecues, and a few buried themselves in the warm sand to soak up the sun. When Lenora arrived, she was greeted by the sight of people lounging and relaxing across the beach.

She gazed out at the vibrant beach, her eyes dazzled by the scene, unable to tear them away.

Squinting slightly, Lenora scanned her surroundings. After a few moments, she spotted Bella.

Seated under a sunshade on the warm sand, Bella was dressed in a pink bikini. A checkered cloth was spread beneath her, with a small basket of food at its center.

Her golden hair cascaded casually like silk, catching the sunlight as Lenora slowly made her way over.

Bella's fair skin glowed under the sun, with faint veins visible beneath the surface of her thighs. Her figure was slender and graceful, with a narrow waist and a full chest. The pink bikini framed her soft curves perfectly, creating a deep cleavage.

Lenora sighed inwardly, momentarily wishing she could reach out and give them a playful squeeze.

Beside Bella sat two friends, also dressed in bikinis, each with equally striking figures.

"Fay, you're finally here!" Daisy, one of the friends, noticed Lenora first and waved enthusiastically.

Bella turned and chuckled, "Fay, hurry up and take off your skirt! Join us in sunbathing!"

Lenora hesitated, shading her eyes as she glanced at the sun. "Isn't it scorching today? Don't you feel it's too hot?"

"That's the point!" Bella said with a playful wink. "It's cooler with less clothing, and we've got sunscreen, so we won't burn!"

Lenora smiled and settled herself at the edge of the checkered cloth, taking in her surroundings.

The beach was alive with color, laughter, and bikinis in every style and shade. She seemed to be the only one dressed more modestly.

Reluctantly, Lenora slipped off her skirt, neatly folded it, and set it aside.

Beneath, she wore a simple one-piece swimsuit, a choice she'd made anticipating this very situation.

Though she had visited the seaside during her travels back home, things were different there.

People tended to dress conservatively, even on the beach.

Now, for the first time, Lenora found herself on a bustling beach in a swimsuit. Despite the lively warmth of the day and the gentle breeze from the ocean, she felt a twinge of shyness as she joined her friends in soaking up the sun. However, she soon realized this was perfectly normal for the locals. No one paid her any attention, and gradually, she began to feel more at ease.

Lenora moved under the shade of the umbrella, carefully applying an extra layer of sunscreen to protect herself from sunburn.

The dock was an impressive sight, grand and meticulously constructed.

Along the riverbank, a neat row of small yachts was lined up, while farther out, larger vessels and luxury yachts were moored gracefully in the water.

Bella, having access to a private yacht, decided to take Lenora and another friend out for a ride along the river.

The cool breeze, tinged with the faint scent of saltwater, brushed against their skin, a refreshing contrast to the heat rising from the ground.

"Bella, I'm amazed. I didn't know you could operate a yacht."

"It's not that hard. Want me to teach you?"

"Why would I bother learning when I have you around?"

After cruising a few circuits along the river, Bella guided the yacht back to the dock with practiced ease.

As they stepped off, Bella turned to the group. "I've got a grill in my car. Let's swing by the supermarket over there and pick up some seafood. We'll have a barbecue for lunch!"

Lenora nodded in response to Bella but suddenly froze at the sound of someone calling her name.

"Lenora?"

She turned toward the voice, her eyes widening slightly. Charles?

It had been a while since she'd seen him, and from the look on his face, he probably hadn't wanted to see her either.

After Charles offered her a brief, curt greeting, Lenora replied with a polite nod and a faint smile.

To everyone's surprise, Charles abruptly let go of his female companion's hand and strode toward her, his expression dark with anger. "It really is you, Lenora! Zachary is in detention right now, yet here you are, lounging on a yacht and sunbathing?"
