Chapter 3347
Chapter 3347 Three Scripts
Megan felt that she was overthinking things. After all, staying overnight in Jake’s house was no different from staying in Donna’s.
Besides, Donna’s place was like an extra temporary accommodation whenever she needed it.
It was already eight when she glanced at the clock. After getting out of bed, she gathered her thoughts and put on her clothes.
After cleaning up hastily, she realized that Donna had prepared a sandwich in a box and a glass of yogurt for her.
“Hurry up, or else you’ll be late.”
Donna grabbed Megan’s hand to leave the house and rushed downstairs to get into their car. Then, they kept honking and taking
shortcuts to rush toward the audition venue.
Before long, Megan and Donna finally arrived outside the audition room.
Within a few minutes, they saw a few actresses go in and out of the room. All of them looked solemn as though none was
completely confident about the audition.
“Are you nervous?” Donna asked Megan softly and held the bag for her. She could see that Megan also looked as serious as the
rest.
However, Megan only leaned against the wall in the aisle and didn’t reply to Donna. Instead, she stared at the door to the
audition room squarely, observing the facial expressions of all actresses who came out. At this moment, she felt that her heart
was pounding heavily.
The importance of this audition was way more important than any auditions that she attended in the past. Deep down, she didn’t
have high hopes of being selected as the female lead. Instead, she would be satisfied if she was selected as any minor
character.
“Number twenty-nine, please come in.”
Megan shuddered unknowingly when she heard the number. She gazed down at the paper and reconfirmed that it was her
number.
“It’s your turn, Megan. All the best!”
Donna gave Megan a thumbs-up, hoping that everything would go smooth for her. In response, Megan simply turned around to
glance at her for a second, for she was a little afraid that she would disappoint her manager in the end.
Given that various uncertainties lay ahead, too much hope would also be a psychological burden to Megan.
Upon entering the audition hall, Megan shifted her gaze downward, her movements stiff. Everyone could tell that she was rather
nervous. As Megan arrived at the stage and stood under the light, she suddenly felt calm, as though her body was immersed in
holy light.
She gazed calmly at the judges downstage. Then, one of the judges grabbed the microphone and handed over three pieces of
paper to the staff.
“Please introduce yourself. You’ll be given three scripts. You have half a minute to read the scripts and you’ll choose one of them
to act out within three minutes without props.”
The staff delivered the papers to Megan as soon as the judge finished explaining. For a moment, she felt that the papers were
heavier than gold, for they would decide her future soon.
“I understand. I am Megan Rockford. The show that I participated in and am proud of the most is Transcendent,” Megan
explained confidently.
After skimming through the three papers for half a minute, she felt it was indeed difficult to grasp the main female character.
“Your time begins now,” one of the judges reminded her, and the rest of them began to scrutinize her.
Megan nodded in response. She kept in mind the lines in the three scripts and quickly prepared herself mentally for the
performance.
On the stage, there was only a beam of light shining on Megan’s pale face. The next moment, she began talking to the air in a
cute and seemingly young voice.
“Jamie, can we visit this tree next year, the following year, and forever?”
Megan lifted her head and smiled softly, trying her best to express the naivety and innocence of a young lady.
She recalled the old days when she was in the farming village and Herman’s betrayal. Mixed feelings surged within her,
changing the look in her eyes and the aura she emanated, grabbing everyone’s attention.
