Chapter 26: The List of System Missions
Oya seemed not to be convinced by the words of her system. She felt her old self was trying to comfort her and not to cause her any discomfort.
However, she knew her position wasn't as good as it seemed, and it wasn't as bad as it looked.
"Now, let me tell you about a crucial thing, as long as Ibro isn't here, then your system can't be integrated into the game here. that means you can only play solo with me, and the relation with your game here would be controlled by me.
You won't level up according to the game's old rules, however anything that might help you here will be available to you to use. That includes the monsters and treasures here.
So, as for now I will issue you a series of missions, complete them one by one and you will gain more levels. If you follow my instructions, your leveling speed will be unparalleled with anyone here."
The system words were a surprise for her, as she thought for these words carefully before asking:
"Can I use my Inventory?"
"Yes," the system replied.
"Can I use my skills?"
"Yes, however gradually you will depend entirely on my skill tree, as the skills provided to you here aren't advanced enough," the system replied.
"How can I find Ibro?"contemporary romance
This was the question that mattered most to her. If Ibro was away, then she would definitely search for him and try to find a way to go to his place.
"You don't have a way to do that right now. What I know is that Ibro would return here in the future, as everything would start and end from here. that was an old prophecy, and as this was his first world, then he would end up being here.
As for this world, you have an obligation to protect it. this universe will be hit soon with strong force from the demon clan, a force that you can't stand a chance against with your current poor level and power.
You need to raise your level fast, gather up any allies you could find, and start walking your way towards supremacy," the system explained slowly trying to make her see the most important task in hand right now.
Seeking for Ibro was something the system wanted, however the system felt the accumulation of great demon forces towards this universe. This universe was about to be conquered and destroyed completely by the demons.
Oya must get stronger and defend this universe, this was the only idea and solution that the system had in mind. Losing this universe meant a great blow to Ibro and the whole plan.
Humanity would be at risk of extinction, again.
"What do you need me to do?"
Oya sensed the gravity of the situation, so she abandoned the idea of looking for Ibro for now. As long as Ibro would come eventually back to here, she would wait for him then and try to do her best.
"Your road is like any other wife road, you all need to start forming your PSR energy and after that Ro- energy. These two energies are higher forms of energy that humans sought for long.
You have an advantage, as being an ex-demon I reserved the soul sea you once had intact. That soul sea is very strong for you now, so you can only gain it when you break level fifty at the least.
You can't face the demon army without using PSR energy at least, and so you need to reach level fifty as soon as possible."
The words of the system seemed to be seriously stressing over the importance of leveling up. Oya didn't know what these two forms of energy were, as her new memories didn't have anything related to them. however she decided to follow the guidance of her other self, so she said:
"Tell me what should I do."
"I already told you, I will issue missions and you need to finish them as soon as possible. I have prepared a string of missions for you, finish them one by one and you will break to level fifty in a short time," the system said.
"What are these missions then? Show the list to me."
"I will show you the first three missions in your list. Each mission is one of a string of related missions that would be revealed gradually over time to you. I will be by your side to support you, however you need to do most of the work here.
After all I'm just a mere soul living inside you as a system."
Oya smiled faintly, as all she needed right now was slight guidance and nothing more. She waited for a couple of moments before a list with three items appeared in front of her.
"List of basic missions- complete any mission to get the corresponding rewards and the next mission will be unlocked automatically.
Mission number one: Kill one hundred level ten monsters.
Reward: Gain one level.
Mission number two: Gather twenty players and form a team with them.
Reward: Twenty bronze grade materials.
Mission number three: Establish a Guild.
Reward: A map for Ihnasia Ridge treasure trove."
Oya looked at the three missions silently as she was thinking deeply about them. The first one was related to her leveling up. Killing one hundred monsters was nothing to her, and if such a mission was repeatedly assigned to her, then she would level up like a rocket.
As for the second mission, that was also an easy task. She already intended to call all her old friends to gather them up into her team. Doing so and earning rewards would be like hitting two birds with one stone.
The third mission was the main problem for her. She wanted to establish her guild, however the price of doing so was really extravagant. She couldn't afford to pay this price any time soon.
"I can't do the third mission for now, it's nearly impossible for me," Oya said with a regretful tone. She still remembered the old words of Ibro about Ihnasia ridge. Although she didn't need any secret class now, she was curious about that treasure trove.
"Why? Is it the money issue?" the system simply asked.
"Yes, why do I feel like you have a solution for that?" Oya asked with doubt.
"Sure, there is a solution, however I needed you first to level up past level twenty so I could grant you one special skill, a real killer skill," the system vaguely answered.
"A real killer skill? what is it?" Oya asked.
"It's a skill to kill any demon seeds planted inside any living thing here. believe me, it seems like it's nothing, however it's a killer move," the system replied.
