Chapter 62
Chapter 62 Copycat
The man on the other end said something.
And Byron's face darkened even more.
"Keep searching. Check all the surveillance cameras that can
be checked!"
Athena wasn't in Salin City, and nobody knew where she went!
Byron didn't believe that Athena would disappear without leaving a trace!
"Yes, sir!"
A respectful voice came from the other end.
The man had never seen Byron being so furious before. It was indeed horrifying...
"Book me a plane ticket to Greeli City after the press
conference!"
"Understood!"
Byron hung up the phone.
Then, he called Heather back with a sullen look.
"Byron, are you done with your work?" Heather asked gently.
"Yeah, I'll be back right now," Byron replied.
At this moment, the elevator opened with a ding.
The woman inside holding a large bouquet of flowers looked
up at Byron blankly.
Byron frowned and stepped aside.
The woman came out, looked at the house number, and was
about to knock on the door of Athena's apartment.
"Who are you looking for?" Byron hung up the phone and
asked in a cold voice.
Although Byron was tall and handsome, he seemed really
scary.
The woman shrank her neck. "The owner of this apartment
ordered flowers, so I'm here to deliver them..."
Byron glanced at the bouquet in her arms.
The flowers were those that Athena usually liked to put in the
vase at home.
"She's not here. You can give it to me." Byron reached out to take the bouquet.
The woman was taken aback for a moment and then
suddenly said, "You must be Miss Newton's husband, right?"
Byron paused and didn't answer.
Then, the woman suddenly became a chatterbox.
"You probably don't know that Miss Newton has been our
regular for years. She said that you're always busy with work,
so if you can see beautiful flowers every time you go home, you will feel happier!
"Your wife really loves you!"
Byron felt as if his heart had been stabbed countless times
with a blunt knife.
He thought back on the past five years.
Athena indeed had taken care of almost all the aspects of his daily life and work.
But now...
She didn't want him anymore.
Byron took the flowers away.
When he arrived at the Crawford Manor and got off the car,
Heather, who seemed extremely elegant in her white dress, greeted him with a smile.
"What a beautiful bouquet!" Heather looked at the bouquet
and reached out to take it over.
Byron actually brought a bouquet of flowers at this moment.
Thus, Heather thought he must want to give this to her.
However...
"Yes. It is very beautiful."
Byron ignored Heather and went straight in with the flowers in
his arms.
Then, he gave the flowers to the servant.
He then let the servant put the flowers in a vase and put it in
his room.
Heather felt her fingers go stiff.
for her.
Why did the varieties of those flowers look so familiar?
Weren't those the ones that she usually bought?
"What an idiot," Athena thought.
"You even became a copycat when you bought flowers for
your sweetheart."
