My Journey to Godhood as a Caterpillar

Chapter 205: Pitting them against each other for tempering

Yun Lao felt his blood boil seeing his sister's actions, it was one thing to mock him, but physically assault him?

This was over the line!

He tried to squirm out from her foot pressing on his chest but his bones started cracking due to the pressure she put on it combined with his previous injuries not being healed.

He wanted to shout for her to stop as their father wouldn't want this to happen, after all, while he didn't explicitly said that they weren't allowed to kill each other his eyes told him that it was forbidden.

He just got that feeling of protection and love from him that he couldn't understand.

Yun Jhin was observing everything that was happening from above the planet, while he didn't want them to kill each other, hating each other was needed. For starters, they would be able to push each other to the maximum when it came to his love and attention, and secondly, they would never ally with each other thus splitting them into factions.

He needed the secondary army organization to be split as brainwashing wasn't perfect, in the future there was a chance they might start idolizing Yun Lao and Yun Qinghe if he stepped out of the game for too much time considering closed-door cultivation took long times for God Realm experts.

Them hating each other would make them fight bitterly so that they would never think of touching upon his foundation, as his children were partial clones of his being and it was unknown if they were able to break through his control or not, while he believed in his abilities, who knew when they would be on a mission outside the sect and they would get captured and 'helped' to regain their mind?

Yun Jhin had many enemies and while they couldn't deal with him they would try to deal with his family, they knew that he didn't care about them at all so they would try to turn them against him to weaken him from the inside cutting through his army at the same time.

However, with infighting, there was a lower chance they would try to attack the third party (Yun Jhin) as they would be too preoccupied with tearing each other's eyes out.

Of course, Yun Jhin wouldn't let them kill each other as this would jeopardize his whole plan, seeing that Yun Qinghe was ready to deal the death blow to her brother made Yun Jhin send his willpower down to them in the form of a bodily projection.

Yun Qinghe's eyes widened both in fear and respect as she took her foot off her brother and kneeled, Yun Jhin tsked as he shook his head and waved his hand immediately destroying the talisman that he gave her while saying:contemporary romance

"I'm extremely disappointed in you Qinghe, you have shown that you have no familial love for your brother which is rather disheartening for me, while I can endure you beating him black and blue and insulting him, that's only for his own tempering, you cannot kill and absorb him! What kind of little sister are you?"

Qinghe kept her head down as she was berated then said:

"But father I..."

"No buts!"

"You shall continue your trial but without the talisman, and your brother will be healed and continue as well, however you are disallowed to interact with him during the whole trial now! If you do you will be punished, did I make myself understood?"

Yun Qinghe kept her head down as she gritted her teeth and responded respectfully:

"Yes sir..."

She glared at Yun Lao from the corner of her eye as Yun Jhin's projection disappeared and she made a cutthroat gesture with her thumb as she left by running away from the tall grass, Yun Lao felt his chest bones regenerating as his blood flow recovered to a normal state, all the blood he lost had recovered miraculously without Yun Jhin even touching him!

Yun Lao checked his internal situation and found that he wasn't fully healed, only the life-threatening stuff was taken care of and mostly the injuries that had been worsened and inflicted by Yun Qinghe, it seemed that Yun Jhin was serious about his tempering trial.

Yun Lao sighed as he decided to leave the tall grass area, the beast that was chasing him was killed by Yun Qinghe and he could move freely again.

He started to slowly walk away, now that he had experienced that crazy chase by the best he was more careful with his footsteps, who knew if there was a nearby beast and it could hear him with its sharp hearing?

Yun Jhin watched everything happening with a smile on his face, half of this training was for tempering and the other was to make sure they hated each other and it seemed that both were successful!

Now that he had finished the preparations for their 'mental training' and they would gain experience from this adventure, he would be able to make them start the expansion missions again!

As time passed the duo had finished the trial as 3 months of survival on the planet by themselves went past by.

The trial was rather simple but hard to finish due to their inexperience and the fact that Yun Jhin had filled the planet with one of the most annoying species of beasts that he could get his hands on.

Afterward, he made sure that they couldn't cheat by planting observing formations on them, but considering how 'good' they were for him they wouldn't ever cheat nor attack each other after he already warned them once.

Now that they were battle-hardened, while they couldn't be considered veterans they now needed to experience war with intelligent beings to grow further.

Thus the expansion missions appeared again!

Yun Jhin created a gigantic army as he employed a special formation that would increase their battle power the more people were in it, combined with the surrounding ki being absorbed by them as long as they acted properly, Yun Jhin sent his children to war for him so he could further increase his cultivation base while also protecting his headquarters.

The first target was quite far away from the sect so Yun Jhin couldn't leave it anymore as he wouldn't be able to return in time, only if he could have gained the ability to teleport himself just like Ukog, from what he understood the ability seemed to let him transport himself to the energy that he had memorized, it was like tracking down someone's DNA sequence to see their ancestry, it couldn't be stopped unless someone changed their DNA.

However, for Yun Jhin this was as easy as breathing, the moment he realized what the problem was he immediately changed his energy signature and hid it, even if they met him again they wouldn't be able to memorize it again so he wouldn't have to go through the trouble of changing it.

While he could change his energy signature it took time and resources which annoyed him, this was the consumption of resources that wouldn't happen if these people would see to their business.

Unfortunately, Yuan Fang liked to meddle in his business but now that he had blocked his harassing options he would make sure he would silence him forever rather soon, as long as he reached the middle stages of the God Realm which started from the 4th stair and above he would be able to get rid of him as he would unlock the harder laws.

Yun Jhin meditated over the blood river as he looked at its surface which showed the situation on the battlefield of a distant planet that he had sent his children to conquer.

Death was happening everywhere, blue-skinned lizard people were being mercilessly slaughter by Yun Jhin's robed disciples.

The most prominent figures of the battlefield were his children of course.

Yun Lao small body had grown up after a while of wilderness training and his feeble muscles started to harden and grow, he looked way more manly now and he even started to don a small beard trying to differentiate himself from his father physically.

Yun Qinghe had grown in all assets and her beauty had intensified as they were both dragon and phoenix hybrids with a little bit of caterpillar in between they were rather charming, however, that charming aura was almost nonexistent on them as they slaughtered without abandon.

They were like two killing machines as they glared at each other through the mountains of corpses and ignored all of the sticky blue blood that they were currently being literally bathing in.

Their competitiveness had hit insane charts after they were unable to deal with each other due to Yun Jhin's instructions and their cultivation base had skyrocketed as they both broke through in the sage realm 10 years after the wilderness training, with Yun Jhin's resources, their new experiences and his wisdom he could easily make them into sage experts in ten years.

While their talent was rather mediocre with Yun Jhin as a teacher and backer they could reach the God Realm but the early stairs would be their limit, they might not even reach the 3rd stair and they would have exhausted all of their potential.

Yun Lao decapitated one lizard person with a swift slash of his ax as he shouted towards the sky, it was the last warrior on the battlefield and they have won with an extreme advantage almost none of their troops being even injured, there were a total of 0 deaths.

Yun Jhin smiled profoundly as he saw another planet being taken down by his children.

His disciple descended from the dark palace in the cave where the blood river stood and said with a respectful tone:

"Master there has been news regarding that Yuan Fang you wanted to deal with..."
