My Husband Wants Me Dead novel (Esther and Bradley)

Chapter 71

had been his patient since she was young.
Leah gently pushed a brand card toward him and said, “Dr. Birch, I’d like you to help me with something.”
Looking at Leah, Wilson remembered that she used to be his goddess, but she had married someone else. Though he had also
settled down and built his family and career, Leah remained an unattainable love in his eyes.
“Leah, you know I’d never turn you down,” he said.
Wilson’s affectionate expression made Leah smile wide.
“With this card, you can go to any Hermès store and claim a limited edition Himalayan handbag.”
As a man, Wilson did not have much knowledge about handbags. However, Leah, being a woman, was different. She casually
said, “I remember your wedding anniversary is coming soon. If your spouse receives such a handbag, she’ll surely be delighted.”
Upon hearing that, Wilson no longer hesitated and asked, “Your husband...”
“He cheated on me a long time ago, not like you don’t know.” Leah was annoyed at the mention of Billy. With a touch of
desolation, she added, “Please don’t bring him up in front of me. I don’t have any other thoughts now. I just hope my daughter’s
safe and healthy.”
“Liliane’s recent health condition has been quite good, and she hasn’t had any episodes for a long time.” Wilson paused for a
moment and continued. “I’ve also asked people to keep an eye out for a suitable heart. If there’s a match available, it’ll be best to
consider a heart transplant.”
“Dr. Birch, I have a rather unusual request. My spouse has a love child, and her condition recently. deteriorated severely. I was
wondering if we could see if her heart’s compatible with Liliane.” Leah. explained, “Please don’t misunderstand me. I don’t mean
to harm her for her heart. She’s currently hospitalized in a private hospital under the Warner Group. They’ve already issued
several critical condition notices. Since they share the same father but have different mothers, there might be a
chance of a heart match.”
After listening to Leah’s explanation, Wilson could not wait to express his position and said earnestly, “I’ll get someone to have
her heart examined then.”

After a brief silence, Leah hesitated and said, “Forget it, Dr. Birch. Just consider what I said as nonsense! She’s not my biological
daughter, but she’s still my spouse’s daughter. If I were to do something like that... would I still be a human?”
Wilson advised Leah to go for it instead when he saw her back out. “Leah, hearts aren’t like other org ans. The compatibility has
to be incredibly high to be eligible for a transplant. Besides, it’s not like we’re sure her heart matches Liliane’s. We’re just
checking.”
Leah shook her head again and said hypocritically, “No, don’t check it. If her heart is a match, I won’t be able to control my greed
to take her heart away to give it to Liliane. If I did do it, what
would be the difference between me and a murderer? Dr. Birch, forget what I said.”
A nurse came to knock on the door of the doctor’s office.
Leah picked up her limited edition Birkin bag in time and said softly, “I’ll leave you to work then. Let’s go for a dip in the hot spring
whenever you and your spouse are free.”
“Sure.”
Wilson watched Leah walk away reluctantly, determined to make the call anyway. He could not ear it whenever he saw his
goddess frown.
le could not understand why Billy Anstey did not cherish her either. How could he cheat on such a onderful wife?
