My dear lawyer

Chapter 402 His Concern

William was right that his mother couldn't get used to the flight meals.

As for the dishes, due to a limited time, Vivian only prepared homely dishes. Although she wanted Mrs. Lucia to have a try, she was still worried she wouldn't like it. Mrs. Lucia's eyes brightened, "Can you cook?"

Nowadays, not many girls were willing to cook by themselves.

Vivian's cooking skill must be good if William let her to cook for him.

Mrs. Lucia was looking forward to it.

Vivian looked at her and answered embarrassedly, "Just some homely dishes."

Mrs. Lucia waved her hands, meaning that she didn't mind.

Then she carried Roe in her arms and walked towards the kitchen.

Vivian stared at her in amazement.

However lean, Roe was taller than children of his age, and slightly heavy. Mrs. Lucia looked petite, but it was surprising that she could carry him so easily with no difficulty. William saw through Vivian's thought and whispered, "My mom keeps exercising for years."

In fact, it was the habit Mrs. Lucia had since she was young. And that was why she was in a good health for so many years.

Vivian felt a little ashamed, as she couldn't walk easily when carrying Roe.

Due to the limitation of time, there were only some simple dishes, such as stir-fries and staple food on the table. However, they varied in kinds and looked delicious.

Mrs. Lucia ate a lot and judged the dishes with a smile, "That's very delicious. I admire Roe and my son for being able to eat these every day."

"If you like, you can live here for several days and Vivian can cook for you." William replied and drew their attentions.

A flicker of wilderness passed over Vivian's heart.

Was William trying to impress Mr. Lucia with her cooking skills?

But she shook her head and denied this thought.

How could that be possible?

Even if Willian tried to leave a good impression to her mother, it could just be because of Roe.

Mrs. Lucia didn't say anything, but instead, she drank the soup and looked at William with a look of half-smile and half-doubt.

William raised his eyebrow and pretended to see nothing.

After Mrs. Lucia finishing eating and going upstairs, Vivian finally felt released.

Doctors and nurse arranged by William were living in another building. Seeing the clock, Vivian was going to take Roe for regular check.

Mrs. Lucia saw Vivian and Roe walking on the gravel road in the balcony, holding their hands tightly and laughing happily.

Roe behaved differently from the time with her downstairs. He smiled like a little kid when he was with his mothet.

Mrs. Lucia couldn't help sighing, "It's been four years..."

William knew her meaning even if her sentence didn't complete.

He walked ahead for a few steps and put his hands on the handrail. William looked towards Vivian and Roe's figure gently; his eyes were full of pleasure, gratitude as well as regret.

"It's all my fault." The light spread down and shone on his hairs, blocking the darkness in his eyes.

Mrs. Lucia wrinkled, "Have you figured it out?"

"Mom, have I ever done something to make you and dad disappointed?" William asked confidently.

Mrs. Lucia starred at him, "You dare say this? Your son was raised by her mother for four years and you don't know anything."

William remained silent.

The most important thing was that Vivian had been with him for several years, but she concealed the truth from him.

Damn it!

Mrs. Lucia's expression became serious, and said, "I understand why you bring me here in a hurry. This girl is...nice, at least better than I thought."

William smiled.

He knew his mother would like Vivian.

"But..." Mrs. Lucia wanted to talk about something else.

Seeing William look at her in a serious expression, she smiled, "You have two important problems to handle."

"The first thing you should know is that you must choose to love only one girl. I know you love Vivian, so just cut off your other relationships. It's good for all of you." Mrs. Lucia wrinkled when thinking of Angie. She met her in front of the door and that girl's mouth was really dirty.. A flicker of fidgets passed over William's eyes.

"I know, mom. I will handle it as soon as possible." If it wasn't for that cunning Alan, he would throw Angie away as soon as possible.

Mrs. Lucia was not satisfied with her son's attitude.

However, considering her son might still couldn't let Angie go because they had been together for a long time, Mrs. Lucia didn't answer him. She sighed and accepted his reply.

Then Mrs. Lucia said, "And, the most important thing is how you are going to tell your grandfather?"

William was in a silence with firm expression in his eyes.

"Your grandfather loves you the most. But you never listen to him and do things as he expected. For example, he is already not satisfied because you chose to be a lawyer. If you marry a woman he doesn't like, you know the consequence of your other two brothers." William's face changed suddenly.

He clenched his fists.

Thinking about what happened to his brother, he felt a sense of coldness coming from every part of his body. His face was filled with regrets and unspeakable sense of crisis.

Mrs. Lucia sighed, "Your grandfather already gets used to make arbitrary decisions and take peremptory actions. However, he was old and weak now. You and Vivian already have Roe. Hence, you still get a chance and don't worry about this."

"Well, there weren't much people who know me in this city. If your grandfather doesn't know this, I will help you cover it up. I...I will find a chance to explain to him." William felt a bit relaxed, but there was still anxiety in his eyes. Mrs. Lucia nodded worriedly.

Jin'an was far from the city his grandfather lived. Besides, William was good at covering up his identity. Hence, there was few people who would connect him with the eminent Lu Family. His grandfather was staying at his house all day, drinking tea and fishing. Except state affairs, he wouldn't care about what happened in the outside world.

It was easy to cover things up, Mrs. Lucia thought.

Mrs. Lucia left to have a rest after talking with William for a while.

William lit a cigarette on the balcony and stared at the empty gravel road for quite a long before he left.000000
