Chapter 90 Be the Woman behind Me
"What was wrong with the woman yesterday?"
Finally it was Sarah's turn to ask questions.
It was early in the morning, but they were all awake already, the results from last night weren't clear yet, but no need to ask, it was full of action. Both of them were laying on the bed, talking.
They were not mentioning some things when talking about last night, and no one knew why, but some things still needed to be asked about. Sarah opened her eyes, and turned around to be backwards to him.
Andrew put his arms under his head, and stared at the ceiling, he listened to her question, and replied to her, "She wasn't important."
"Oh, really?"
She rolled her eyes, she still remembered the woman from last night, and could see every bit of detail in her head.
A woman who wasn't important could get so close to him? Did he not care at all?
Suddenly, Andrew's eyes flashed, in his calm eyes were now intensity, "Are you mad?"
"Nope." Sarah shook her head.
"You are really mad."
He stated.
In that moment, Sarah turned around, and looked at him, in her eyes were despite, "You were hugging each other, that's your decision, there is nothing I should care about, but don't expect me to pull you out of those places again."
Even though her words were emotionless, but Andrew felt good when he heard what she just said, his lips formed into a smile, and it was showing joy on his face.
As if he was happy about Sarah not caring about him.
"There is no need to be angry, don't you understand why I did what I did last night?"
The was Andrew was looking at her now, what did that mean?
She knitted her eyebrows, and held her hands in front of her chest, then, she turned around and said, "You remember everything?"
Andrew moved closer to her, and pulled the blanket on both of them, the morning light was shining on his profile, it was not quite clear, but soft, "What did you thing?" Sarah's mouth was so wide open of surprise, that an egg could have fit in there, her eyes showed surprise, but she was speechless, and angry as well. "Say that again!"
She was embarrassed in front of all those people, doing such intimate things, and now she knew that he did it all on purpose, was he not feeling shame at all?
If she knew that he did that on purpose, she would have never talked him nicely into coming back, she should have just left him there, allowing those women to rip him apart.
A man who knew how handsome he was went to a bar and got drunk alone, he was asking for it!
Sarah just remembered a saying, the older the wiser, he was at least four or five years older than her, and definitely knew more than her.
She really was too young.
Andrew saw that Sarah was speechless, and he knew that she had a lot to complain about, but no one to complain to, her mouth opened and closed again, and Andrew somehow felt good about it. Sarah instantly felt that her earlobe was a little wet, he was nibbling on it, and said to her in a dark low voice, "Mrs. Bask, are you willing to forever be the woman behind me?"
This question destroyed every single one of Sarah's thoughts that she just had in her head.
Just one second, just one question, made her confused, and messed up her mind.
What meant the woman behind him...
What meant, to be willing to be the woman behind him...
What did that mean together...
She raised her head, his conspicuous features were full of sharpness, he raised his eyebrow, and smirked at her.
Sarah's gaze lowered, her legs stiffened under the blanket, she didn't know why, but her heart was now racing, and it was not out of happiness, it was because two kind of feelings were growing in her. His question made her fall into an entanglement.
Andrew saw that she was suddenly quiet, without saying a word, and didn't even comment on what he just said, so he looked at her, his eyes were squeezed.
"Don't understand?"
"No, no it's not that I don't understand."
Sarah shook her head, she was a little nervous. She knows that she has been keeping something from him, and back then, she could lie to him easily, she could cover herself well, but now, he only needed to look at her once, and she would fall into the honest person, without even wanting it.
She felt, that if she didn't tell him the truth, then it would be very evil.
She was feeling guilt towards him.
Just like now, she didn't dare to answer his question, because there was a "forever" in his question, and it was pressuring her so much that she could barely breath.
"You don't look good."
Andrew saw that she was trying not to answer his question, and thought that maybe he just asked her too sudden, giving her no space to think about her answer, so now he tried to change the topic.
He actually wanted to strike her head, but Sarah suddenly got up from the bed, and ran towards the bathroom.
She was afraid that she would show anything, especially in front of him.
After a few minutes, she came out again, calmer than before.
"I think, there is no need for us to see each other."
Andrew was on the phone, he saw Sarah come out, and said into the phone.
"You don't even know the definition of girlfriend and wife?"
"Then that's the problem of your IQ."
After the last sentence, Andrew hung up the phone.
Sarah already knew who it was.
"You only met once, and she cannot forget about you already?"
She was teasing him purposely, trying to make the mood less awkward.
"Mrs. Bask, can you tell me only for once, that you are jealous?”
Andrew was saying to her, his eyebrows raised, and was watching her. She was wearing a beige long dress, her body was perfect, her waist small, he couldn't help but to reach for her. Sarah shook off the hand that he laid on her body, and said coldly, "Yes, you are jealous."
Andrew, "..."
He had to admit, somethings, he couldn't win against her.
"Since you have taken care of your work, when are you going to go out?"
Andrew was in no hurry, and replied, "Who are you going to see? An old boyfriend?"
Sarah heard his question, and closed her eyes, screw it, she won't say anything, just go along with him.
"Isn't it better if we are alone?" Andrew asked her in return.
"Us... alone?"
"Sandy already took the other ones back, so now, you and me can go out and come back whenever we like."
Sarah swallowed hard, why didn't she know about this!
What did it mean, she was freer now, it was clearly him who didn't have to worry anymore.
She pulled herself back a little, and sat down on the bed, just as she was about to get up again, Andrew took her and pushed her back, "Where are you going?"
"No, I am not going anywhere!" She lied.
"Then where were you about to go?"
"I was a bit thirsty, looking for water."
Sarah pushed him away, and went to grab some water, pretending to be thirsty.
Andrew watched her drink, saw the water running down in her throat, and had to say, "Slow down, you are going to choke yourself on it or spit it all out."
"Phewww!" In exactly that moment, Sarah spit the water out again. ☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
