Chapter 50: I Didn’t Pay You to Appreciate Me during Working Time
The curtains of the office had been drawn.
The sunshine slipped into the office through the thick curtains.
It seemed the man often did exercise and he had a good-looking back and shoulder blades. He was as sexy as a Greek statue.
Brooklyn, who was wearing a shirt, paused for several seconds.
He slightly titled his head and landed his gaze on the woman who was looking at him dully.
Dianna, "...
Why did Brooklyn change his clothes in his office? Were the presidents so open? Did he find a female star or a woman and play with her in the office for the whole night after sending her back? Many thought popped into Dianna's mind. In the end, she tagged Brooklyn as a jerk.
"Bang..."
Dianna closed the door.
Harper was silent for several seconds, "I should have told you that Mr. Powell is changing his clothes in the office."
Dianna waved her hand, walked to the automatic vending machine and bought herself a can of coffee. She then walked to the rest area, sat down and crossed her long legs elegantly. Harper watched Dianna pulled open the ring-pull can.
'Was Anna angry?'
'After all, Anna was a woman who was most close to Mr. Powell and it seemed like Mr. Powell also appreciated a lot.'
'Maybe Anna thought too much after seeing the scene of Mr. Powell changing his clothes.' Harper thought to himself.
Adhering to the principle of serving for his boss, Harper explained, "Anna, don't think too much of it. Mr. Powell worked overnight in the company yesterday."
Dianna looked up with confusion in her eyes.
Was Harper explaining to her?
But did it have anything to do with her no matter what Brooklyn did in the company?
Several minutes later, there came a familiar voice from the office. Harper and Dianna exchanged a glance and hurriedly stood up.
Brooklyn had changed into a business suit. If not for the dark circles bellow his eyes, Dianna couldn't see that he had stayed up for the whole night yesterday.
She came back to her own office desks. The tasks given by Brooklyn were not that difficult. Except for arranging his schedules, she just needed to develop a perfume for sales in every season.
Every season! He was no wonder a capitalist. Dianna complained in her heart.
After reporting his work, Harper left the office and it was quiet again.
Only the clicking sound made by Brooklyn when he was browsing documents was heard.
Dianna stretched her arm lazily and nonchalantly glanced over the man who was focusing on his work.
He had a delicate face. His brows were thick and his eyes brimmed with radiating vigor. He looked even more handsome than the stars on TV.
Supporting her chin with one hand, Dianna studied her boss lazily and boringly.
No wonder many little girls handed confession letters to Austin although he was young.
Austin had inherited his dad's perfect genes.
It seemed like Brooklyn noticed Dianna's gaze. He shifted his gaze away from the screen, "I didn't pay you to appreciate me during the working time."
Dianna twitched her mouth corners and then chuckled, "Mr. Powell, may I appreciate you after work?"
The man laughed, "If you dare to come to my home after work, of course you can do it."
Dianna rolled her eyes at him and shifted her gaze. She gently clicked the keyboard. She gave her an inch and he would take an ell.
Dianna didn't want to watch how Brooklyn got along with well Mirabelle at home.
After arranging Brooklyn's schedule for the next week, Dianna handed the schedule to Harper. When she came back, she recalled what Brooklyn told her before and asked, "Mr. Powell, how long have you been suffering from insomnia?"
It seemed like the man didn't hear the question and he was still focusing on reading documents.
Dianna made a click of her tongue. She wanted to develop a perfume to treat with his insomnia, but it seemed like he didn't take it to his heart.
"Mr. Powell." Dianna stood up and slowly walked to Brooklyn's office desk. She put her hands on the desk and there came a light yet agreeable flavor. Brooklyn was a bit stunned.
When he signed his name on the contract, he was distracted when he wrote the last stoke.
He looked up at the woman in front of him and moved his thin lips, "What's the matter?"
"I've arranged your schedule and handed it to Harper just now."
Brooklyn leaned against the chair comfortably with a meaningful smile on his face.
Although he agreed Dianna to use the perfuming laboratory in the Powell Group at will before...
Dianna had returned the access card to him after developing 'The Necklace'.
Brooklyn was amused at that time.
She was clever in usual times, but she didn't get what he meant.
He gave her the card and it meant that it was a gift.
Thinking of this, Brooklyn curled his lips into a smile and naturally put his hands on his knees.
"Anna, tell me if you have any conditions."
Dianna gave him a bright smile, "Mr. Powell... Can you give me the access card to the perfuming laboratory that you gave me before? I want to use the perfuming laboratory in the company, and also the molecule lab and the warehouse that storages spice..."
Every time when mentioning spice, there would be the lights of confidence and yearning in Dianna's eyes.
It was so bright that Brooklyn couldn't shift his gaze.
He put a transparent black card onto the desk.
Dianna was overjoyed.
It looked like that Brooklyn had his merits!
"Thank you, Mr. Powell. Please rest assured. I will try my best to develop a perfume to treat your insomnia."
The smile on Brooklyn's face became more meaningful.
"The best way to help me have a good rest is to sleep with me. Why don't you consider sleeping with me this noon? How will you compensate me?"
"Er... Can I develop a perfume to treat your insomnia for free?" Dianna negotiated with him.
She would charge a large sum of money if her customers asked her to develop a perfume.
It was ten times higher than the monthly salary that Brooklyn gave his assistant.
If it wasn't that he helped her yesterday, she wouldn't decide to develop the perfume for him for free.
Brooklyn sneered, "You want to charge it?"
When speaking, the man clicked the desk coldly.
But Dianna acted as if she didn't hear his words, "Mr. Powell, it's expensive to ask me to develop a perfume. Even if my customer is your wife, Miss Mirabelle, the price will only be higher. Just now I only prepared to give you a discount of 10%."
Brooklyn was so angry that he even wanted to laugh.
"Enough." He interrupted her in a deep voice. If this woman continued to talk, he was afraid that he would lose control of himself and dismiss her.
"You will be the owner of this card." Brooklyn suggested her with a gaze, "You don't need to return it to me."
Dianna was shocked as this card represented the highest level assess right in the Powell Group.
Not to mention the molecule lab, it also provided access to the most confidential documents of the Powell Group.
She once asked Brooklyn wasn't he afraid that she would steal the secrets of the company and sell it to others.
To avoid suspicion, she returned the card to Brooklyn after developing 'The Necklace'.
She was afraid that if there was a problem in the Powell Group, someone with bad intentions would shift the blame to her." "Thank you, Mr. Powell."
Dianna received the car. Several seconds later, she asked, "Mr. Powell, you gave me the card last time. Did you mean..." Brooklyn replied in a flat tone, "I meant to gift you."
