Chapter 2: She Came Back after Six Years
Six years later, at the International Airport of Sliwell...
A tall and slender woman was wearing a black suit and tight skirt, showing her long legs.
She was wearing a pair of sunglasses that covered half of her face. Although her face was hidden, she was still surrounded by an aura that would not be defeated by the aura of any famous celebrity. Her sexy body figure stood out among the crowds who were passing by.
Two kids, boy and girl aged around five were following behind her, and they were extremely adorable.
There was no expression on the little boy's face. He had an indifferent aura and he looked mature.
Contrary to him, the little girl had way more expressions.
Her big eyes blinked and she raised her head, asking, "Is this mommy's hometown?"
Her baby voice was listenable.
Diana let out a smile and glimpsed at her daughter with a loving look, replying, "Yeah!”
Six years ago, she was put into a gunny bag, tied to a rock and thrown into the sea.
She initially thought that was going to be the end of her life, but luckily the mistress of the Smith family saved her. Because of her kindness, she was able to live.
The mistress had even given her a plane ticket to fly abroad and money for living expenses.
Diana then realized she was pregnant not long after she went abroad.
"Dear sister, if I show up before you, would you be surprised?" she murmured. There was a cold light in her eyes, but as she looked at the two kids, her eyes became gentle. After being pregnant, Diana did not intend to give birth to the two kids. To her, that was the humiliation from that night, the biggest joke in her years of life.
Yet as she lied on the icy operation table, she regretted.
No matter what she encountered that night, no matter what that man did to her, those were still her children.
Therefore, she gave birth to the two children and had raised them with all her heart.
She would not let them bully and humiliate her anymore this time.
This time, she was no longer Diana Moss, but the number one perfume maker in the world, Anna Miller!
The reason she came back this time was because of the invitation from the Powell family.
She wondered how her dear sister was living with the Powell family after all these years!
Diana rubbed both the kids' head with a smile.
Emily Moss cuddled towards Diana's hand obediently, while Austin Moss pouted in disgust. "Mommy, stop ruining my hairstyle." Diana chuckled. "Alright."
Although they were twins, their personalities differed very much.
Diana did not notice that a man was staring at them not far away.
"Who...is that woman?" Brooklyn spoke, and his deep eyes were full of confusion.
Not knowing why, he felt that woman extremely familiar. His secretary who was standing beside him was speechless.
How would he know that lady's information when there were so many people at the airport?
Not to mention when his master become interested in other woman besides that woman? And that woman even had kids? "Mr. Powell, we're here to welcome Mr. Hill and his family." Harper Gibson, his secretary reminded him weakly.
Brooklyn only then retrieved his eyes when he heard that.
He did not see the children's looks clearly due to the distance. He would be very surprised if he did, because the twins looked quite similar to him.
Meanwhile, Diana seemed to have noticed something. She turned around but did not discover anything. Maybe she was just having illusion.
"Brooklyn Powell and Mirabelle Moss are getting married. The perfect couple of six years is finally going to enter the next stage of life!"
As Diana was going to leave, she spotted the entertainment news from the big screen of the airport. The thumbnail was Madam Powell shopping with Mirabelle.
Diana smiled. She hoped Mirabelle could still maintain her position as the prospective Mrs. Powell!
Without looking at it further, she left while taking the two kids.
A lot of women were feeling melancholic at the airport, and Brooklyn naturally saw the news on the big screen. His expressionless face instantly became gloomy. "Find out which entertainment company is it, and buy it for me!"
When had he said he wanted to marry that woman? Harper inevitably shuddered when he saw his gloomy look.
As he was going to speak, Brooklyn's phone suddenly rang. Seeing the phone number, he handed the phone over with a mixed expression. "Mr. Powell, it's from Miss Moss."
Harper admired Mirabelle very much. Brooklyn had serious insomnia, but as long as she was by his side, he would fall asleep peacefully at any time.
Madam Powell also liked Mirabelle very much, or else, she would not let Brooklyn engaged with her. What baffled Harper was, although Mirabelle was now Brooklyn's fiancée, Brooklyn still forbid them to call her Mrs. Powell.
After hesitating for a while, Brooklyn still took over the phone. "Brooklyn, when are you coming back? You've not rested properly for almost three days."
There was brimming care in her sweet voice. "No idea. I still have an important meeting later," Brooklyn spoke blandly and seemed to sound a little impatient. Mirabelle who was on the other end of the call inevitably gripped her phone.
She could sense clearly that Brooklyn was acting colder and colder towards her. It had been six years, the perfume her mother left her back then was already finished.
She had secretly sought for countless perfume makers, but none of them could make that perfume.
Without that perfume, she would not be able to let Brooklyn sleep calmly. She was reluctant to stick to Brooklyn pointlessly.
She had also sent men to search for her mother in the village, but her mother was nowhere to be found and seemed to have disappeared from this world.
Luckily she had appointed Anna Miller, the perfume maker reputable worldwide. She doubted a top perfume maker like her would not be able to make the thing she wanted.
1After having those plans in mind, she spoke with a pitiful tone, "Brooklyn, I know you're busy, but couldn't you be with me more?"
"Six years ago, it was you who..."
"I'll go home tonight, and that is it!" Brooklyn interrupted her and straight away hung up the call. Although he was indeed guilty towards Mirabelle six years ago, he had not treated her badly all these years, and his guilt had already disappeared!
Seeing his horrific look, Harper inevitably swallowed. He was afraid to get himself into trouble.
After settling down her two children the next day, Diana wore her sunglasses and went out, heading towards the Powell Group.
She would seize back everything Mirabelle cared for herself. She should have paid back those belonged to her now.
"Good afternoon, have you made an appointment?" After reaching the company building downstairs, the front desk lady stood up and asked courteously. "I'm here to apply for the vacancy as the president's assistant," Diana said and smiled.
The front desk lady looked at her who was a captivating lady and there was contempt in her eyes. Her attitude became rude. "I'm sorry, miss. The president doesn't need an assistant."
Diana certainly knew what she was thinking about. She chuckled and was lazy to defend for herself. After all, that was indeed her purpose, wasn't it?
"I think you should still inform the president and ask him whether he needs it or not." Diana had made full preparations after her return this time. She had the confidence to make that person keep her! "Miss, I've made my point clear enough. Please stop interrupting our job here anymore, okay?"
"You're not the only one who wants to sleep the president, there are already more than ten each month. Forget about it!"
The front desk staff all looked disgusted. No one would respect those who tried to seduce others to gain benefit.
"Plus, the president already has a wife, you're wasting your time!"
Wife? Mirabelle Moss? Diana sneered. Six years ago, Mirabelle was determined to harm her for that position. Now that she had returned, would she still be able to get that position that easily? "What the heck are you arguing?" A cold voice was suddenly heard behind Diana.00000000
