Chapter 98
Chapter 98
Giselle looked in the direction of the voice and saw a familiar figure, a tall and strong man staring at them.
Hymes‘ expression was cold, and he walked over quickly. Before Mickey let go of Giselle, he grabbed her arm.
Hymes hugged Giselle tightly into his arms and then separated her from Mickey.
Hymes‘ voice was piercingly cold, “Mr. Blake, what is it you want to discuss with my wife so late at night? And why are you dragging her?”
“Those who don’t know better might think you’re seducing my wife, trying to harass her!”
Mickey’s face turned pale, “Don’t you get me wrong! I just came to talk about our past with Giselle… She used to be my girlfriend, so there’s nothing wrong with me talking about these things with her.”
Hymes said word by word, “But she is my wife now, a wife recognized by law! And I don’t want her ex–boyfriend to pester her again.”
“I didn’t pester her!” Mickey raised his voice and denied frantically, “We weren’t totally broken up, but then you caine out of the blue and married her…”
Giselle frowned in disgust, “Mickey, how could you say such disgusting words… We broke up because you cheated on me, and you accused me now?”
“No…” Mickey panicked, “I just still have something to talk to you, so please, don’t just break up with me…”
Hymes snorted coldly, and the coercion revealed by his hard jaw was extremely scary, “It seems that Mr. Blake wants me to contact Miss Clarks and tell her how her boyfriend harassed my wife.”
As expected, when Jenny was mentioned, Mickey hesitated.
Just when Mickey was hesitating, Hymes warned again, “If I see you harassing my wife again, then I’ll do more than just tell Jenny.”
After finishing speaking, Hymes held Giselle in his arms and strode back to the apartment.
They snuggled up together and looked so well–matched and intimate.
And all this was supposed to belong to Mickey….
Men’s minds were sometimes so cheap. It was Mickey who cheated on and abandoned Giselle, but he began to feel reconciled and regretted when seeing that Giselle lived well and even had a stronger background than he imagined….
He was always so tentative and greedy.
In a word, he was a bastard.
Standing at the elevator door, Giselle could see the sharp and cold expression of the man beside her from his reflection.
He said nothing, but his lips tightened.
It looked daunting.
Giselle reached out and tugged at his clothes, “Are you angry?”
Hymes‘ voice was thick, “No.”
“You are angry! Because of what happened just now?”
Hymes let out a snort from his nasal cavity.
He took the time to complete several cross–border meetings and rushed back… And he didn’t expect to see such a scene!
The scene in that Mickey grabbed Giselle’s wrist reminded Hymes of those scenes he had seen before….
Chapter 99
Wed,
The woman who was now leaning in his arms was also hugged intimately by that man….
Whenever Hymes thought of that, he was almost going mad with jealousy.
Even if the person who had everything now had become him.
But no matter how angry and jealous he was, Hymes didn’t want to vent these emotions on Giselle, so he could only sulk all by himself.
Giselle opened her arms and hugged him, “I really didn’t know that Mickey would come tonight, and the excuses he made were disgusting. I was planning to come back, but he…
“We really have nothing to do with each other!”
Giselle raised her face and looked at Hymes intently and sincerely, “I’m married to you now, and I won’t think about other people anymore, not to mention Mickey has done so many bad things to me. How can I forgive him?”
Soothed by her light and soft voice, Hymes felt that she was acting in a pettish fashion whenever she spoke in her soft voice.
Hymes‘ boiling anger gradually calmed down with her soft voice, and he put his hand around Giselle’s waist, holding her tightly in his arms, and said in an extremely stern tone, “Promise me it won’t happen again.”
“If he shows up again, call me immediately!”
“Understood… But since you’ve threatened him tonight, I don’t think he will pester me shamelessly again.”
“And I think he regretted breaking up with you.” Hymes gritted his teeth, “Knowing how nice you are, he turned around and wanted to woo you again!”
“How nice can I be?”
After entering the elevator, Giselle leaned into his arms and said softly, “Isn’t that what I have always been? I may have a pretty face, but my temper is a bit bad, and I refuse to admit defeat. My mom always says that I have a stubborn temper, and I approve of it.”
Hymes was amused when he heard her talking about her shortcomings, pinched her nose, and said, “Why didn’t I know? I still think you are like… a little sheep.”
“What? I’m not a little sheep! I am cattle, and anyone who dares to provoke me will be kicked by my hoof!”
“How can you say that you are cattle?” Hymes couldn’t help but curve his mouth, and Giselle immediately said happily, “You are not angry anymore, are
you?”
Sighing, Hymes rubbed her head, “I’m not angry anymore, and I wasn’t angry with you.”
“Then don’t keep a straight face. Do you know that it’s really scary when you keep a straight face? Even I was scared.”
“Really?” Hymes frowned, “Is it so scary?”
“Yes!” Giselle was very serious, “You are scary when you keep a straight face, and I dare not talk to you.”
“I… I will try to change that.”
In fact, it came from Hymes‘ majesty. Whenever he didn’t smile or fell into a state of indifference, his whole body would exude an extremely hostile aura that showed this man was not easy to provoke.
“I like your gentle look.” Giselle blushed and whispered, “You should always smile at me.”
Saying these words was enough to make her shy. It was the first time that Giselle used such straightforward words to flirt with him since they got
married.
It seemed that they were the sweetest couple in the world, and they were not unfamiliar anymore and no longer had the formalities.
It was a nice change.
Chapter 98
The upward curve of Hymes‘ mouth became more and more clear, “As you wish. How about I smile at you every day?”
Giselle nodded.
As for Mickey, after he left in a daze, he received a call from Jenny, who questioned him with anger, “Where have you been? Why haven’t you come back at this time?!”
“I’ve just taken care of something else, and I’m coming back soon.”
“What have you been doing these two days?”
“Nothing.”
“You are lying! Did you go to see Giselle again? You are still in love with her, aren’t you?”
Mickey said impatiently, “I didn’t. And I’m not.”

Jenny yelled, “You are lying to me… I will not allow you to have anything to do with Giselle. You promised me that you would marry me!”
“Okay, okay. I got it… I’m coming home, and we’ll talk about it later.”
Mickey walked slowly with a gloomy expression. What Jenny didn’t know was that Mickey overheard her calling a few days ago, and already knew about the current economic crisis that the Clarks family was facing….
